China And Russia Solidify Eastern Alliance As Trump Rattles G-7
By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton
As President Trump was contentiously meeting with world leaders at the G-7 summit, Russia and China were forming their own alliance and expanding the Eastern bloc. This is what the world should be watching as it portends very bad things for the rest of the planet. China’s Xi Jinping and Russia’s Vladimir Putin are joining forces and that has implications for the Iran deal and the North Korean negotiations.
On Sunday, Putin and Xi raised a glass to the expansion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, an eight-member bloc designed to coordinate security policies across Asia. They are the controlling powers in what I call the New Axis of Evil: Russia, China, Iran and North Korea. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization welcomed their newest members, India and Pakistan, into the fold. The presidents of both Iran and Mongolia vowed to increase cooperation on energy and agriculture and create more favorable conditions on trade and investment.
As Trudeau was betraying President Trump over tariffs and not only a war of words, but a trade war blossomed on our side of the globe, Xi was giving Putin China’s first friendship medal and sealing a devil’s pact that I suspect we will live to regret. He called Putin his best friend. “President Putin is the leader of a great country who is influential around the world,” Xi said. “He is my best, most intimate friend.” Communist dictators of a feather.
Xi gave a measured speech criticizing new forms of “unilateralism” and “protectionism.” That is directly aimed at the United States and President Trump. “We oppose the practice of sacrificing other countries’ security for their own absolute security,” Xi told a gathering of the SCO’s heads of state in the Chinese port of Qingdao. “We need to reject selfish, short-sighted and closed policies, uphold the rules of the World Trade Organization, support the multilateral trading system and build an open world economy.”
Xi and China have their sights set on being the global leader in finance, trade and economics… and militarily. I fear the negotiations with North Korea could be an ordered distraction by Xi so they can finish setting up their military in the South China Sea. Kim was flown on a Chinese jet to Singapore and I heard they were possibly accompanied by Chinese fighter jets.
China’s propgandic state-run media mocked the United States and the G-7 as being feudal with each other, while the proceedings at the China- and Russian-led bloc were orderly and civil. The English-language Twitter account of the Communist Party’s People’s Daily newspaper posted photos of a tense scene in La Malbaie, Quebec and another of Xi and Putin smiling, with the caption, “G7 vs SCO: two meetings on the same day.” Gee, the communists are making fun of us again.
However, there is a problem with the comparison. Many won’t see it because of the fight over tariffs, but the G-7’s focus is on international security, while the SCO focuses on trade and economic cooperation. The Eastern bloc, which also includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, has rallied around opposition of the “three evils” of terrorism, separatism and religious extremism. But things are never what they seem in geopolitics.
China wants to use the SCO to forward its Silk Belt and Road Initiative. Its a vast infrastructure-building program that runs through Russia’s strategic backyard. The addition of South Asian rivals India and Pakistan have also raised questions about the group’s long-term cohesiveness. Tensions are high in the group and it’s not hard to imagine that the two big boys… China and Russia… may at some point put their collective communist foot down to reign everyone in.
Per Bloomberg, Pang Zhongying, who is a senior fellow at Pangoal, a Beijing-based research institution, said the SCO faced the same underlying tensions as the G-7 as governments favor unilateral actions over collective ones. “The golden era of multilateralism is over, facing a crisis not only in the G-7, but also in the SCO,” Pang said. “Even though China’s state-owned media touted the so-called rich fruits of the SCO, only a few tangible achievements were in fact generated from this summit.”
The SCO is united in upholding the wretched Iranian nuclear deal, while the G-7 is totally at odds with one another over it. President Trump has withdrawn from the agreement and Americans overwhelmingly support him in the move. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, whose country has observer status at the SCO, attended the summit, making his first foreign trip since the U.S.’ decision.
Watch the political lines being drawn here. These are alliances that will be held when and if war comes. And right now the Western alliance can’t agree on anything at all. The communists don’t have that problem… they’ll just use force to get their way and it will be brutal.
Huckabee: “Breaking wind from CNN! @realDonaldTrump announces new tariffs on fake eyebrows!”
By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton
Well, well, well… Canadian socialist pretty boy Justin Trudeau evidently is fake in more ways than one. Before I get into his betrayal of President Trump at the G7 summit in Canada, we must address the wandering caterpillar that was once his left eyebrow. I kid you not… it was on live TV and is not Photoshopped as far as I can tell. Makeup somebody… anybody! Face malfunction in action.
@davidd_dds @fordnation Justin must be hard 2 work with. Just listening 2 him is hard but look his left eye brow has lost its glue. @JustinTrudeau It’s a lot having a full time job isn’t it. Not as many naps or-story times. @OYLorg @liberal_party JT is falling apart, literally. pic.twitter.com/4wUWbjcIqm
— DDS (@davidd_dds) June 8, 2018
It does make you wonder what other parts of Trudeau’s presence are fake or enhanced. I really don’t want to know on second thought. We already know he has a terrible time with the truth and now eyebrow slippage. The award for best tweet though goes to Governor Mike Huckabee. It’s pure gold.

— Gov. Mike Huckabee (@GovMikeHuckabee) June 10, 2018
Onto more pressing matters now that we know Trudeau wears fake eyebrows and probably makeup. Except of course Trump will now probably impose fake eyebrow tariffs and rightly so. Good times.
As you know, the G7 summit was not warm and cuddly for President Trump. But give Trump his due… he stood his ground on tariffs and did not budge. And as soon as Trump was in the air on his way to Singapore on a 20-hour flight to meet North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un, Trudeau proceeded to hold a news conference and stab President Trump in the back. Nice. Not exactly the behavior we have come to expect from our friends to the north. They chose very poorly when they elected this dufus.
Take it away White House Director of Trade Policy Peter Navarro on “Fox News Sunday”: “There’s a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump and then tries to stab him in the back on the way out the door,” Navarro said. “And that’s what bad faith Justin Trudeau did with that stunt press conference. That’s what weak, dishonest Justin Trudeau did. And that comes right from Air Force One.”
The world leaders at the G7 summit had reached a tentative agreement on tariffs that was to be a joint statement… but no more. We will no longer sign the communique. Trudeau’s press conference made his stance clear when he said that Canada will not be “pushed around” by the U.S. and called Trump’s tariffs “unjust.” Spoken like a true one-world communist. Trudeau’s treachery was relayed to President Trump on board Air Force One after the summit.
PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, “US Tariffs were kind of insulting” and he “will not be pushed around.” Very dishonest & weak. Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 9, 2018
“And I’ll tell you this, to my friends in Canada, that was one of the worst political miscalculations of a Canadian leader in modern Canadian history,” Navarro continued. “All Justin Trudeau had to do was take the win. President Trump did the courtesy to Justin Trudeau to travel up to Quebec for that summit. He had other things, bigger things on his plate in Singapore. And what did Trudeau did — do as soon as — as soon as the plane took off from Canadian airspace, Trudeau stuck our President in the back. That will not stand.” Damn straight it won’t.
I don’t think I have ever seen this kind of fiery rhetoric come out of the White House in my lifetime. I have to say I find it somewhat refreshing. Trump has Pompeo and Bolton with him going to North Korea. They were also at the G7 summit. Boy, would I love to know what they said on all this. I imagine they 100 percent approve. So do I.
Navarro went on to call Canada’s high tariffs on American dairy products and planned retaliatory tariffs, an “attack on our political system.” So, instead of being fair to the U.S., Trudeau has decided on a form of economic warfare because we won’t keep in place trade agreements that hurt us and benefit Canada. Well, it’s time that stopped. At first, I did not support Trump in this tariff fight as they usually go very wrong, very fast. But, I’m beginning to think he’s on to something here and it’s time that America gets a fair shake on trade for a change.
“And as far as this retaliation goes, the American press needs to do a much better job of what the Canadians are getting ready to do because it’s nothing short of an attack on our political system and it’s nothing short of Canada trying to raise its high protectionist barriers even higher on things like maple syrup and other goods,” Navarro said.
And Navarro is far from alone in his sentiments that he expressed here on Trudeau and Canada. Enter top White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow. He said Trudeau “stabbed us in the back” with a “double cross” at the G7 summit. Them’s fightin’ words. In a blazing interview, Kudlow called Trudeau’s press conference a “sophomoric, political stunt for domestic consumption.” “President Trump played that process in good faith,” Kudlow said on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday. “So, I ask you: He gets up in the airplane and leaves, and then Trudeau starts blasting him at a domestic news conference? I am sorry, that’s a betrayal. That’s a double cross.” Yeah, you might want to think twice before taking on the world’s lone super power… Canada is picking a fight they won’t win.
President Trump has had just about enough of Trudeau’s weaselly ways. He tweeted, “Based on Justin’s false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our U.S. farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market!” Trump then slammed Trudeau brutally, “PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, “US Tariffs were kind of insulting” and he “will not be pushed around.” Very dishonest & weak. Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!”
I would say that the trade wars are on and Trudeau is about to find out what it means to be at odds with the United States of America and a sitting President. Perhaps he should superglue those caterpillars on better… this is going to be a VERY bumpy ride for the Great White North and anyone else who decides to screw with us.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Goes On The Hunt For Leakers At The State Department
By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has had it with leakers in the State Department and he’s officially going on the hunt to flush them out and take them down. It’s about damn time someone did this. Frankly, if it were me, I’d gut the entire State Department and do a reboot with tough background checks and interviews. That’s probably the only way to ensure that you get rid of the traitors in our midst. Anyone who was an Obama acolyte should be already gone.
Recent media reports show that more classified and unclassified information is leaking out of the State Department and Pompeo is ticked, as he should be. Pompeo has his senior aides that he trusts researching who is up to no good under his command. A State Department spokeswoman, Heather Nauert, just recently held a public affairs meeting to go over the leaks. This came about after an article broke at the Associated Press reporting that Brett McGurk, who was a Special Presidential Envoy appointed under Obama, would remain on the job for another six months. That’s not acceptable and bears looking into. “There were a couple of articles that pissed off Pompeo,” a source familiar with the meeting told Axios. “One was an article about McGurk. Another about slow-rolling Palestinian funding.”
The investigation kicked off with State Department employees having their phones examined for leaking phone calls and texts. I would wager their email was also gone over as well. Remember, Pompeo was with the CIA and if anyone can ferret out leakers, it would be him. When stories started leaking about internal matters, he was shocked and took action almost immediately. Some of the leaks were discovered when reporters attempted to confirm information they received from overseas sources.
Now comes the whining from State Department employees to the media. Some of them ran to Axios and said that Pompeo’s response was heavy-handed and unwarranted. No, it’s the exact right thing to do. It’s what Tillerson should have done from the beginning and it is what John Bolton is also doing currently. He brought in his own people that he trusts to solve the leaking problem on his end. Pompeo is no fool and he won’t stand for this continuous leakage in the State Department. “They’ve gotten diplomatic security involved in the leak investigation — the internal security of the State Department — which is bananas,” a source told Axios. “These are the people who stand outside diplomats’ doors when they sleep overseas.” Sounds to me as though someone is afraid of getting caught and has something to hide.
Nauret made no bones about it with Axios. She said that the unauthorized release of information, whether it’s classified or not, is always a concern. “It can jeopardize ongoing operations and negotiations in which the State Department is involved,” Nauret stated. “Also, Diplomatic Security doesn’t ‘stand outside diplomats’ doors. DS is the security and law enforcement bureau for the entire agency. Their mission is to provide a secure environment for the conduct of U.S. foreign policy.” Well said and she put down that whining very nicely.
Another senior State Department official said that leaks on internal deliberations “have a debilitating effect on our prosecution of foreign policy.” That’s exactly right and they are a national security threat as well. “Most diplomats working on these issues support any effort to ensure our messages are appropriately controlled and coordinated through official channels,” the source said. And those that don’t are about to be purged.
Not only is this the right thing to do, it should be done in every agency and department we have. Others should follow the lead of Pompeo and Bolton. Those that are found leaking information should not only be fired, but prosecuted. Let these people know there are consequences for treacherous acts under President Trump and his administration.
Weekly Featured Profile – Goodwin Liu
Justice Goodwin Liu is an Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court. He was confirmed to office by a unanimous vote of the California Commission on Judicial Appointments on August 31, 2011, following his appointment by Governor Jerry Brown on July 26, 2011. Before joining the court, Justice Liu was a Professor of Law and former Associate Dean at the UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall).
The son of Taiwanese immigrants, Justice Liu grew up in Sacramento, where he attended public schools. He went to Stanford University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in biology in 1991.
At Stanford, Goodwin Liu worked on the student paper and served in student government in the Council of Presidents. Liu was elected on the Peoples Platform, the Stanford electoral wing of the pro-China League of Revolutionary Struggle. He served on the COP with fellow Peoples Platform activist Ingrid Nava, a well-known League of Revolutionary Struggle supporter, and Jay Tucker of the radical Black Student Union.
Party officials said the Peoples Platform will work to “make the concept of multiculturalism a more significant issue in this year’s election than in those of past years.” Last year, both parties claimed to support multiculturalism and it was “hard to use multiculturalism as a distinguishing point,” said senior Goodwin Liu, a Council of Presidents member. “This year it is important not just to support multiculturalism but to define how to make it work,” Liu added. “We need to make multiculturalism accessible to everyone but not water it down.”
Liu went on to Oxford University on a Rhodes Scholarship and earned a Master’s degree in philosophy and physiology. Upon returning to the United States, he went to Washington, D.C. to help launch the AmeriCorps national service program and worked for two years as a senior program officer at the Corporation for National Service.
Liu graduated from Yale Law School in 1998, then clerked for Judge David Tatel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and then worked as Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education, where he developed and coordinated K-12 education policy. He went on to clerk at the U.S. Supreme Court for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg during the October 2000 Term.
On February 24, 2010, President Barack Obama nominated Goodwin Liu to fill a vacancy on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
On May 26, 2010, this country’s most influential China lobby group, the Committee of 100, issued a statement in support of U.S. Senate confirmation of Goodwin Liu. Committee Chair John Chen said, “C-100 urges the Senate to confirm Professor Goodwin Liu. His ascension to the bench would signal that talented people of all backgrounds are integral to our justice system.”
For more than a year, Liu’s nomination languished, amid significant opposition from Republicans in the U.S. Senate. On May 19, 2011, the Senate rejected cloture on Liu’s nomination in a 52–43 vote and on May 25, 2011, Liu informed President Obama that he was withdrawing his name from consideration.
Justice Liu serves on the California Access to Justice Commission, the governing board of the American Law Institute, the Committee on Science, Technology, and Law of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Bar Association Task Force on Financing Legal Education. He has previously served on the Board of Trustees of Stanford University and the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Excellent Education, the American Constitution Society, the National Women’s Law Center and the Public Welfare Foundation.
Goodwin Liu was married to Ann O’Leary, a senior policy adviser in Hillary Clinton‘s 2016 Presidential Campaign. On August 30, 2016, O’Leary and Liu announced in a joint statement that they were separating, as Liu had entered into a relationship with Jane Kim. An extreme leftist, Jane Kim, who is also a Stanford alumni, is now a leading contender for the Mayoralty of San Francisco.

The Rainbow Conspiracy Part 9: ‘New Virginia Majority’, How Stealth Communists Turned A Red State Blue – With Help From China
By: Trevor Loudon | New Zeal
Part 8 here.
The communist-led “New Virginia Majority” is part of Steve Phillips’ network. Working with geo-political information supplied by a Communist Chinese University, New Virginia Majority has had a major impact on Virginia elections and by extension, national elections. Should this be a big story?

New Virginia Majority voter registration workers
San Francisco lawyer and leading Democratic Party operative Steve Phillips is working with American communists and socialists to harness “minority” voters behind the Democratic Party. The goal is to forge a “New American Majority” from white “progressives” and minority voters that can never be beaten. If this plan is successful, a far left Democratic Party, controlled by stealth communists like Steve Phillips, will rule America in perpetuity.
If this seems far-fetched to some readers, consider the success Steve Phillips’ friends have had in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Once a reliably “red” state, Virginia is now almost completely in the “blue” column.
From Politico, November 2017:
Obama also was the first Democrat to win Virginia in over four decades, and his party hasn’t lost a presidential election there since. But it was Tuesday night’s election in the Old Dominion — where Democrats won the governor’s mansion for a consecutive time and gained a near-record 15 seats in the House of Delegates — that has politicos wondering whether Old Virginny can now officially be considered a blue state.
Virginia is now more Democratic than the nation as a whole, and won’t be considered a tossup in the next presidential election, says Kyle Kondik of the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics. “Does it start as a New Jersey or a Maryland? No,” he says, “but it’s to the left of center now and moving more so to that direction.”
Many commentators have blamed demographics – Northern Virginia houses growing numbers of Washington, DC bureaucrats for instance, but that is only part of the story. Virginia started drifting noticeably to the left in 2008.

Jon Liss, founder New Virginia Majority
In August 2007, veteran Virginia activist Jon Liss founded what was then called Virginia New Majority (now New Virginia Majority) “to patch together a new progressive majority in Virginia.” In 2008, Liss’ organization reached “more than 100,000 homes in Virginia’s 11th Congressional District,” which turned out to be influential in winning the state for Obama.
According to the organization’s website:
New Virginia Majority (NVM), Virginia’s leading civic engagement organization, builds power in working-class communities of color across the Commonwealth. We organize year-round on issues of racial, economic, and environmental justice through mass organizing, political education, intensive leadership development, and strategic communications. We fight for a Virginia that is just, democratic and environmentally sustainable.
Jon Liss is a bona fide communist. Born in Brooklyn, raised in Falls Church and educated at the University of Virginia, Liss has been a radical activist his entire adult life. As a young man, Liss was involved in a number of leftist organizations in Virginia, including: Proceso de Educación Popular, Northern Virginians Against Apartheid, Fairfax County Taxi-drivers Association and in common with many protagonists in this story, Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition.
In the early 1980s, Liss was active in the Progressive Student Network, a front for the Maoist Revolutionary Workers Headquarters (RWHq). When the “Hq” joined with the Proletarian Unity League to form Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) in 1985, Jon Liss was targeted for recruitment into the new revolutionary coalition.

Freedom Road Socialist Organization internal document 1985
Liss has been a confirmed FRSO member at least since the early 1990s. Before starting New Virginia Majority, Liss served as Executive Director of Tenants and Workers United (TWU). Established in 1986, TWU is the largest member-based, low-income community organization in Northern Virginia.
TWU’s mission “is…to develop multi-racial leadership for social and economic justice, and to democratically control or own community resources including housing, education and health care.”
In 1990, TWU’s budget was $3,000. Today its operating budget is $1.1 million.
Liss also organized the passage of Virginia’s first Living Wage legislation (Alexandria and Arlington), education “reform” including the creation of a bilingual immersion program and formation of the nationally-organized Right to the City Alliance – a Freedom Road Socialist Organization front.
Liss’ greatest revolutionary accomplishment however is his work with New Virginia Majority. Under his guidance, New Virginia Majority helped to flip one of the most conservative states in the union into a reliable Democratic bastion.
Freedom Road Socialist organization and their allies in LeftRoots, Communist Party USA, Democratic Socialists of America and the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism are now working to replicate the Jon Liss/New Virginia model through the South and Southwest.
November 7, 2017 was a great night for Virginia Democrats – for Democrats period. Ralph Northam was elected to become the 73rd Governor of Virginia, Justin Fairfax was elected to become the 41st Lieutenant Governor of Virginia and Mark Herring was reelected as the 47th Attorney General of Virginia.
All had been endorsed by New Virginia Majority.
The Republicans held a 66–34 majority in the House of Delegates before the election and were confident of holding a substantial majority. When the dust had cleared, the GOP was down 15 seats, their majority was now a razor thin 50–49 advantage.
The election sent shockwaves through the GOP. The media crowed about a “blue wave” on the horizon.
Under all the hype, the left community knew who deserved the real credit.
From Airlift:
Virginia Governor-elect Ralph Northam’s victory in the Nov. 2017 VA gubernatorial election is being hailed by the press as “the first forceful rebuke of Trump and his party.” On a night that saw other exciting and improbable wins, the Northam vote was the widest victory in decades for a Democratic candidate for governor of Virginia.
And yet, in the lead-up to the election, the Democrats had no Get out the Vote (GOTV) effort aimed at communities of color and others who would be needed to push the eventual winner, Dem. Ralph Northam, over the finish line. New Virginia Majority stepped into the breach to:
- Register 30,666 voters in 2017
- Organize a statewide plan with partners NextGen, Planned Parenthood, SEIU, For Our Future, and Equality Virginia that knocked on 689,000 doors
- Run $150,000 in ads on African-American radio stations
- Fight for 12 candidates—11 of whom won in November
In the video below, Jon Liss discusses New Virginia Majority’s role in the 2017 elections with another former Maoist, Bob Wing.
A member of the Editorial Collective of Organizing Upgrade team serves alongside other Collective members Kim Diehl of Freedom Road Socialist organization, Rishi Awatramani (a former lead organizer at New Virginia Majority), Harmony Goldberg, Calvin Cheung-Miaw and Maria Poblet.
Awatramani, Goldberg, Cheung-Miaw and Poblet are all leaders of the Left Inside/Outside Project, the alliance of Freedom Road Socialist Organization, Communist Party USA, Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, LeftRoots and Democratic Socialists of America, currently working to infiltrate the Democratic Party nationwide.
Note that Liss admits working closely with former Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe to restore voting rights to thousands of Virginia’s convicted felons.
New Virginia Majority did indeed work closely with McAuliffe. They even gave the governor their “Owen W. Hill Freedom Award” for his work on creating tens of thousands of new Democratic Voters with over 200,000 individually signed pardons.
Freedom Road Socialist Organization and LeftRoots leader Claire Tran worked for New Virginia Majority in the 2008 and 2014 election cycles. She has no doubt that New Virginia Majority can take full credit for felon re-enfranchisement in Virginia.
NVM did not ignore the disenfranchisement of people who were formerly incarcerated. Revolutionary thinking is about changing the terrain of struggle. Disenfranchisement of formerly incarcerated people in Virginia, as in many other states, was created with an explicitly racist intent. They worked on an eight-year fight to give people who had been formerly incarcerated back their right to vote – and they won. NVM showed that they had real power on the ground and advocated for re-enfranchisement and when it passed, they did the work to register people.
The relationship between New Virginia Majority and the Virginia Democratic leadership continues to be close.
Tram Nguyen, Co-Executive Director, New Virginia Majority, was named to Governor Ralph Northam’s Transition Committee on November 15, 2017.

Tram Nguyen, left, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam center, Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax center right, surrounded by New Virginia Majority activists, June 7, 2018
Tram Nguyen also serves on the Advisory Board of the Sandler Phillips Center.
December 2017, two major Democratic donors, the husband-and-wife team of Steve Phillips and Susan Sandler, unveiled a new data and political analysis clearinghouse to help other wealthy Democrats figure out how to get the most bang for the millions of dollars they will plow into next year’s midterm elections.
The Sandler Phillips Center is akin to a “financial advisory” firm for politics, Phillips said, that will dig into voting patterns and demographic data and vet on-the-ground activists to help guide investments of liberal political money to federal and state races where it can make a difference.
Geo-demographic data is essential in modern electioneering and New Virginia Majority is very sophisticated in its use of such data to target and turn-out likely Democrat voters.
Steve McClure is a PhD student in the Geography and GeoInformation Science Department at George Mason University.
Specialties: ArcGIS desktop applications,Social networks, critical theory and urbanism. I am particularly interested in action research driven by the needs of community based organizations whose goal is increasing civic participation
Like Jon Liss, Steve McClure was an ’80s member of the Progressive Student Network. He has also written for the Freedom Road Socialist Organization magazine.
Steve McClure contributed an article to FRSO’s Freedom Road magazine Number 2, Winter 2002: “Genoa:global justice and the end of social peace.”
McClure has been working since 2010, out of the Geography Department of Wuhan University, China – while supplying sophisticated geo-political data to New Virginia Majority.
According to McClure:
I have been recently working with Virginia New Majority to make a series of maps to inform planning for precinct walks in Virginia State house districts. It is collaborative, involving emails, exchanges of data back and forth, and skype calls. The core data are lists of individual households by pan-ethnic census categories, geocode them. andI use a point density method to aggregate those households visually, and also aggregate the counts of households by precinct and displsy those numbers atop the cluster map.

Steve McClure map, Fairfax SD37
Steve McClure wrote a blog post, circa 2012, entitled “Actionable Intelligence and Prince William County:”
In the general elections of 2008 Virginia voted democratic for the first time since 1964 with Obama carrying the state. Demographic shifts and increased voter participation rather than a shift in political allegiances account for this outcome. This demographic shift was an artifact of the dynamics of capital accumulation, uneven development and class struggle in a period of neoliberalization, prefiguring zoning and land use patterns.
Focusing on Prince William County, Virginia, I applied spatial interpolation techniques in a GIS to translate the 2008 election returns from the geography of precincts to year 2000 zoning classification areas for further quantitative analysis. The goal was to produce actionable intelligence for working class organizations building popular power at the base.
An article titled: “The Importance of the Fight for the South–and Why It Can and Must be Won” by Bob Wing and Stephen C. McClure appeared in Organizing Upgrade Monday, September 04, 2017.
Electoral action to win political power in the South is a strategic, not an optional, component of any strategy to defeat the right. As regards to elections and political power, we argue:
(1) A critical mass of Southern states can and must be won if we are to block or defeat the right in presidential elections. Three of the five or so critical battleground states are in the South: Florida, Virginia and North Carolina. Southern blue and battleground states plus Washington D.C. hold 38 percent of the electoral votes needed to win.
(2) Winning an anti-rightwing congressional majority depends on winning in the South, as the South has a bigger congressional delegation than any other region and Southern congresspersons also hold key leadership posts within the Republican Party’s congressional hierarchies.
(3) There are tremendous opportunities to build progressive political power and governance at the local level in the South as 105 counties have a Black majority. (Only one county outside of the South has a Black majority.)
While some might dismiss the South, focusing strategically on the Northeast and Pacific Coast as central to a progressive program and the Midwest as the main political battleground, the South’s dynamic growth, historical legacy of Black struggle and powerful political weight make it a critical battlefield.
The nuance is that the South cannot be won as a bloc, but only state by state and county by county. In fact, winning the South in large part means understanding that it is not a monolithic entity and winning it piece by piece: i.e. politically deconstructing the South.
The Chinese government is almost certainly aware of what Steve McClure is up to. Every foreign resident in China is closely monitored by the Communist Party authorities. He is certainly well-accepted by his Chinese colleagues.
From the Wuhan University website:

Steve McClure with Chinese students, Wuhan University
As an English consultant of LIESMARS (Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying Mapping Remote Sensing) in Wuhan University, for many graduate students who are suffering from anxiety and desperation stemming from the arduous struggle for their master degrees or PhDs, Steve is a lifesaver. Whether it is to get their papers published in academic journals or simply to pluck up their courage in international conferences, he teaches them everything….
As an expert in GIS himself, Steve is surprisingly modest…. Steve has earned a stellar reputation, as well as a seat in the front row with some of the most renowned professors in the field.
Consider this: An American Marxist works out of a Chinese University for eight years, supplying information to a communist-run voter registration operation in Virginia with the clear intention of influencing elections not just in Virginia, but across the entire US South.
Is this legal? Is Beijing in any way sanctioning or even assisting this operation to influence US elections in favor of the Democrats? Most of the communist groups working in the alliance to ensure Democratic Party victories such as Freedom Road Socialist Organization, Communist Party USA and Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism are pro-China. It is almost impossible to believe that Beijing is not involved in this program.
Roughly 2,500,000 Virginia voters cast ballots in the “Old Dominion’s” November 2017 elections. Given that New Virginia Majority helped to get 200,000 felons voting, signed-up at least 160,000 minority voters and was part of a huge GOTV effort, isn’t it reasonable to give Jon Liss’ team major credit for the Democrats excellent showing?
Communist-led New Virginia Majority is part of the Steve Phillips network. Working with geo-political information supplied from a Communist Chinese University, New Virginia Majority has had a major impact on Virginia elections and by extension, national elections. Should this be a big story?
Look for Part 10 coming soon: “How Steve Phillips, AND HIS Allies Won The 2017 Alabama US Senate Race ”
A book entitled “The Rainbow Conspiracy” will be released in October 2018.
