President Trump Declares U.S. Will Not Be A Migrant, Refugee Camp On His Watch

President Trump sounds like he’s had enough of this open border insanity and I don’t blame him in the least. He doubled down on his stance on illegal immigration today. Then he went even further and told Americans that we won’t become Europe regarding migrants and refugees on his watch. Good. “The United States will not be a migrant camp and it will not be a refugee holding facility,” Trump said during a press conference. “It won’t be. You look at what is happening in Europe and other places, we can’t allow it to happen to the United States. Not on my watch.” Thank the heavens for that… it would destroy this country once and for all.

Trump launched into a tweet storm early today over all this. You’ve got Laura Bush saying the temporary separation of illegal immigrant families is “cruel” and “immoral.” She added that it is “eerily reminiscent of the Japanese American internment camps of World War II.” Bull crap and shame on her for saying that. “I live in a border state. I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart,” she writes. Perhaps she should go take an actual look at one of these facilities like Breitbart did before adding more fuel to the political fire here.

“Our government should not be in the business of warehousing children in converted box stores or making plans to place them in tent cities in the desert outside of El Paso,” Laura Bush added. “These images are eerily reminiscent of the Japanese American internment camps of World War II, one of the most shameful episodes in U.S. history.” She also wrote about the “trauma” these children face. “We also know that this treatment inflicts trauma; interned Japanese have been two times as likely to suffer cardiovascular disease or die prematurely than those who were not interned.” Oh, give me a freaking break! None of that is true… these children are in what look like dormitories in clean, comfy beds. They are well fed and taken care of.

Trump also reminded his critics that criminals are using these children as human shields. “Children are being used by some of the worst criminals on earth as a means to enter our country,” Trump wrote on Twitter. He also covered the horrific crime rate over the border. “Has anyone been looking at the Crime taking place south of the border,” he wrote. “It is historic, with some countries the most dangerous places in the world. Not going to happen in the U.S.” Then Trump laid the blame where it belongs… with the Democrats. “CHANGE THE LAWS!” he wrote in all-caps. “It is the Democrats fault for being weak and ineffective with Boarder Security and Crime. Tell them to start thinking about the people devastated by Crime coming from illegal immigration.”

“We need borders, we need security, we need safety,” Trump said. Yes, we do. We are a sovereign nation and this has to stop, regardless of what the leftist Democrats demand. He admonished Democrats for grandstanding on the issue of immigration instead of working with Republicans to fix the problem. “If the Democrats would sit down instead of obstructing, we could have something done very quickly,” he said. “Good for the children, good for the country, good for the world.” Trump said he’s ready and willing to accept more immigrants, but their acceptance should be based on skill level. He added, however, that the problem with the country’s immigration laws had to be fixed first. “A country without a border is not a country at all. … It starts at the border, and that’s the way it is,” Trump concluded. So very, very true.

Frankly, the Dems that are trying to beat down doors to these facilities where the children are should be arrested. This madness needs to end. It is political subterfuge and we are being manipulated through children. Just stop it already.

A Case for America’s Goodness

Memorial Day, I caught an interview with WWII veteran, Edgar Harrell who survived the bombing of the USS Indianapolis. Sinking in 12 minutes, 300 boys died on the ship. Nine hundred went into the water.

Sharks devoured hundreds. Mr. Harrell entered the water with a group of 82. By the fourth day only 2 were alive.

Mr. Harrell endured decomposed and disemboweled bodies bumping against him. He thanked God for rotten potatoes to eat and a few drops of rain water to drink. He wept recalling hearing a boy pray, “God, I don’t wanna die! I’ve got a son back home!” Mr. Harrell spent four and a half days in the water; his skin covered in oil.

A technical problem forced a military plane to lower its altitude. Miraculously, a crew member spotted boys in the water. He radioed, “Ducks on the pond!” Another plane arrived witnessing the horror of boys attacked by sharks. Because the plane was not designed for a such a risky water rescue, the plane was ordered not to land. The crew unanimously decided to disobey. Tearing up a motor on impact, the plane rescued 56 boys tying 7 to the wings. Mr. Harrell attributes his survival to divine providence.

In 1835, French sociologist and political theorist Alexis de Tocqueville perceived that America is great because America is good…” Mr. Harrell’s generation knew America was good because they were taught U.S. History without leftists’ bias, distortions and lies.

In 1948 my friend Peg was around 7 years old when her retired Army colonel dad took the family to dinner at their favorite restaurant. After the waitress took their orders and returned with drinks, Peg’s dad noticed a black couple seated before them had not been served. Peg’s dad asked the waitress why. She said they were hoping the couple would leave as they were not wanted there. Peg’s dad replied, “Well, if they are not wanted then we aren’t either!” Peg’s family left and never went back. Peg said her dad taught them respect for all people with that dinner encounter. Americans are good.

Kathy Griffin Savages First Lady Melania Trump: ‘Feckless Complicit Piece of Sh_t’

Gee, what would Father’s Day be without the likes of washed up comedian/troll Kathy Griffin making a fool of herself? Her target this time was First Lady Melania Trump after she released a statement calling for a bipartisan effort on Capitol Hill to put an end to President Trump’s enforcement of a “zero-tolerance” policy toward illegal border crossings. That policy was put in place by the Bush administration and kicked into high gear by the Obama administration. So, I find it ironic that Laura Bush would pen an emotional opinion piece in the Washington Post this weekend begging Trump to put an end to it. As far as Melania goes, she was actually calling on the Democrats to support a Republican bill that would end the separation and that is what ticked Griffin off.

Griffin tweeted, “F*ck you, Melanie. You know damn well your husband can end this immediately…you feckless complicit piece of sh*t.” Classy as always. She thought she was being so very clever trolling President Trump for making a Twitter typo calling his wife “Melanie” when saying she was recovering following a kidney procedure in May.

The hypocrisy is hip deep these days. And while first ladies are calling for the policy to end, let me bring a little clarity to this situation. When we have criminals break the law here in the US, do we have them stay in prison with their children? Of course not. So, why is everyone clamoring to give illegal aliens, who are breaking the law, the right to stay with their children? I don’t get this and the reason is that it is just duplicitous and insane.

Griffin’s tweet also was in reference to the controversy sparked by fellow comedian Samantha Bee’s use of the phrase “feckless c**t” to describe First Daughter Ivanka Trump last month.

Melania feels for the children who are separated from their parents over this. But not because they are abused. They are given soft, comfy beds, clothes, hot meals, medical care and are taught English and other studies while away from their parents. The left is screaming because they only get a couple of hours outside a day. That’s because they are in school and doing chores and they know it. It’s sad they are away from those they love, but their parents are de facto criminals who broke the law and that should override every other consideration here.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed last week that almost 2,000 minors were separated from their guardians at the US border between April 19 and May 31 since the Trump administration implemented a policy to prosecute all illegal immigrants. “Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform,” Stephanie Grisham, the first lady’s communications director, said in a statement shared with the Washington Examiner. “She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with heart.” And that is correct, but it does not mean that the children stay with parents who are being adjudicated because they have violated the rule of law.

Melania’s caring statement did not warrant this vicious, vile attack from Kathy Griffin. All of this began when the left started floating pictures of children in cages. Those pictures were taken during Obama’s tenure, not Trump’s. Children are not treated that way under this presidency. Senior White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway also slammed the media for fanning the hysteria and even comparing the conditions to Nazi concentration camps. Even General Hayden who served under President Bush as the head of the NSA and CIA and Michael Steele who headed up the RNC at one point were comparing this to concentration camps and saying our children could be next. For shame.

Democratic Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar admitted in an interview with CNN that Obama covered up the child migrant crisis during his two-term presidency. “It was kept very quiet under the Obama Administration. There were large numbers of people coming in. The Obama administration was trying to keep this quiet,” he said. And crickets from the Democratic Party until President Trump was elected and decided to stop the open borders policy and restore the rule of law and our nation’s sovereignty. Department of Homeland Security officials fired back at CNN allegations that it “ripped’” a breastfeeding baby from its mother in a denial on Friday. “We do not separate babies from adults,” a DHS official told reporters. “It’s a bright line.” The left is now going around demanding they be let into ICE facilities where children are kept now as if they have the moral high ground. What a joke.

Regardless of what Kathy Griffin says, it’s not the president who needs to stop this. It is a bipartisan Congress coming together and agreeing on an immigration bill. But they won’t do that even though Trump has compromised far more than I personally like with the left on it. They want riots and chaos in the streets. It’s straight out of Saul Alinsky’s play book and it is what communists do to get their way.

Per Breitbart, “Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy is to prosecute all illegal border crossers, including illegal alien adults who cross the border with children, results in border-crossing parents having their children taken into federal custody. This is a loophole known as the Flores Settlement Agreement. The Republican-controlled Congress and Democrats have yet to come to an agreement to close the legal loophole in order for child border crossers to remain in federal custody with their parents.” Personally, I’m good with them being separated, but that’s just me.

Kathy Griffin was silent when the Obama administration enforced the same policy at the US-Mexico border. She is a bitter harpy that just keeps on trying to take her revenge on the Trumps because they wouldn’t pay attention to her. She’s not funny and she’s pretty much treasonous. She’s trying to stay relevant and in the spotlight by taking vicious, hate-filled swipes at First Lady Melania Trump and others. Just pathetic.
