The Pentagon Is Now Warning That China Is Training To Strike U.S. Targets

I have warned for many years of the communist Chinese military threat to the U.S. and the world. It would seem that the Pentagon is now vindicating my concerns. They just released a new report that China is likely training for bombing strikes against U.S. targets while developing their nuclear capabilities. They have been doing so for at least three years and I contend, much longer than that. The revelations come in the Pentagon’s 2018 report to Congress on “Military and Security Developments Involving the People’s Republic of China” which focuses on developments in 2017. China wants to leverage its economic, diplomatic and strategic strength to “establish regional preeminence and expand the country’s international influence.”
The report also points out that China is pursuing a nuclear capability on its long-range bombers, saying the Chinese air force “has been re-assigned a nuclear mission.” “The deployment and integration of nuclear-capable bombers would, for the first time, provide China with a nuclear ‘triad’ of delivery systems dispersed across land, sea, and air,” the report said. The report states that in addition to the bombers it already operates, “China is developing a stealthy, long-range strategic bomber with a nuclear delivery capability that could be operational within the next 10 years.” My bet is it will be a LOT sooner than ten years.
The report also says that China has established its first overseas base in Djibouti and that it “will seek to establish additional military bases in countries with which it has a longstanding friendly relationship and similar strategic interests, such as Pakistan, and in which there is a precedent for hosting foreign militaries.” China also continues to develop counter-space capabilities, “including kinetic-kill missiles,ground-based lasers and orbiting space robots,” the report said. It adds that Beijing is also working “to expand space surveillance capabilities that can monitor objects across the globe and in space and enable counter-space actions.”
