Chinese Communist Party Rallies 230 Leftist Parties to Exploit CCP Virus for Political Gain

By: Trevor Loudon | The Epoch Times

A billboard shows the Chinese leader Xi Jinping with the words “Thank you brother Xi,” a message paid for and by a pro-government tabloid, in Serbia on March 30, 2020. When six Chinese doctors landed in Belgrade two weeks before, Serbia’s president greeted them with elbow-bumps before laying a kiss on their regime’s flag, a gesture that sent Chinese social media aflutter. These doctors are now running the Balkan state’s COVID-19 strategy, as Serbia becomes a willing theatre for Beijing’s “mask diplomacy.” For weeks China has been showering European countries with millions of poor quality face masks, inaccurate test kits and other forms of “aid,” recasting itself as the hero in the battle against the coronavirus. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has initiated an open letter calling on its allies and vassal parties across the globe to rally around Beijing and to exploit the CCP virus crisis to advance the international socialist cause.

On April 2, the website of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China published an “Open Letter calling for closer international cooperation in the fight against COVID-19.” According to a same-day report on CCP propaganda outlet Xinhua, at least 230 political parties from over 100 countries had already endorsed or re-published the letter.

While minimizing the seriousness of the virus for domestic consumption, the CCP strategy is to massively exaggerate the problem internationally. The CCP open letter calls the disease outbreak “the most urgent and serious challenge”—perhaps the CCP itself might better fit that description?

“Today, as Covid-19 is spreading rapidly across the globe, it constitutes the most urgent and serious challenge to both the health of humanity and world peace and development.

“Faced with this unprecedented situation, we, major political parties of various countries tasked with the weighty responsibility of improving people’s wellbeing, promoting national development and safeguarding world peace and stability, hereby issue our joint appeal as follows:”

The letter, openly initiated by the CCP, then calls for “coordinated policies” and “mobilization of resources and forces globally” before indulging in some shameless self-praise:

“We are aware that the virus respects no borders, and no country can respond to the challenges alone in the face of the outbreak. … Closer international cooperation, coordinated policies, concerted actions, and mobilization of resources and forces globally will enable us to defeat this virus, a common enemy to all of humanity.

“We take note of the significant progress in the fight against Covid-19 in China, … which has bought time and offered experience to the rest of the international community. We highly commend countries including China for adopting an open, transparent and responsible attitude to disclosing related information in a timely fashion, sharing experience on response and patient treatment, and in particular providing medical and other supplies to the best of their ability to other affected countries. …”

Next comes a coded message to the international communist movement—protect the CCP from international blame and retaliation, protect the CCP’s thousands of agents in Western countries from scrutiny or expulsion, and work toward increased integration with the U.N., World Health Organization, and other anti-Western international organizations:

“We stand firmly against all discriminatory comments and practices against any country, region or ethnic group, and call on governments of all countries to take proactive measures to protect the health, safety and legitimate interests of foreign nationals and students they host. …

“We are of the view that the Covid-19 outbreak has laid bare the need for all countries to further foster the global governance outlook of achieving shared growth through discussion and collaboration and to support the leading role of the United Nations and the World Health Organization in global public health governance. We call for all parties to enhance coordination and cooperation within the framework of the G20 and other international mechanisms for effective international prevention and control as we strive to build a global community with a shared future for public health.”

To date, the CCP has not published a list of the 230 signatories “from major political parties.” This could be because many of them aren’t “major” and most of them are communist.

Significant political parties are known to have signed on to the CCP letter so far include the ruling Communist Party of Cuba and the Communist Party of Nepal. The South African Communist Party, which semi-governs that country in partnership with the African National Congress, has endorsed the letter. The often-ruling and openly communist Progressive Party of the Working People of Cyprus also signed on.

Further down the socialist pecking order the Communist Party USACommunist Party of Australia, the Communist Party of Britain, and the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) have also lent their good names to the effort.

Less well-known parties backing the CCP initiative include the Communist Party of Bangladesh (Marxist-Leninist), Thailand’s leftist Pheu Thai Party, and the militant Rwandan Patriotic Front.

Granma, the newspaper of the Cuban Communist Party, used the CCP open letter as a vehicle for promoting socialist globalism, defending the CCP, and increasing international communist coordination:

“The text, signed by 230 political parties from over one hundred countries, recognizes that the COVID-19 has put the world in front of the most pressing and serious challenge to human health and peaceful global development. …

“Aware that the virus knows no borders, the signatories said that no country is capable of dealing with it on its own, and therefore called for the pooling of resources and forces at the global level through international cooperation, integrated policies and coordinated actions.

“They recognize nations, including China, for their open, transparent and responsible attitude in publishing epidemiological information and sharing experiences in prevention and treatment, especially for their assistance with medical supplies to affected countries. …

“The signatories also committed themselves to maintain close communication at this unique juncture, to give impetus to the battle against the epidemic, honoring their guiding political role.”

The Communist Party of Britain-affiliated newspaper “Morning Star” used the open letter as a springboard to praise the CCP and its Russian and Cuban allies—while strongly attacking the United States:

“China, Russia and Cuba have been among those countries leading the fight, sending medical teams and aid to places most affected by the pandemic. …

“But the US has been accused of acting as a ‘Wild West bully’ by blocking essential medical aid to Cuba and sending warships towards Venezuela.

“Washington has increased sanctions on Iran, preventing it from buying medical supplies on the global market, and ratcheted up an anti-China propaganda war that critics have described as a ‘smokescreen’ to deflect from US failures.”

The CCP’s harnessing of the world communist movement to take advantage of the CCP virus pandemic should not be minimized.

While most of the 230 parties are no doubt small, all will have an important influence in the more than 100 countries they represent. Some are ruling parties with all of the weight of their states behind them. Others have control over local labor union federations, women’s and youth alliances, academia and religious bodies. All are part of the largest coordinated political movement existing in the world today.

The West is already at war with the CCP and its allies. Their goal is to create social havoc, drive the economies of the West into the ground, and gut U.S. military spending. When that happens the CCP, Russia, Iran, and Cuba will run this planet.

Today, we are in a mainly informational conflict—with one side hardly fighting. If the CCP is allowed to win this stage of the war, the West will be in no position to resist whatever comes next.

…And This Woman Is an Idiot

COVID-19 & The Manipulated Information We’re Getting

“State Rep. Tavia Galonski (D-OH-35) tweeted Sunday after President Trump spoke about hydroxychloroquine at his daily press briefing… ‘I can’t take it anymore. I’ve been to The Hague. I’m making a referral for crimes against humanity tomorrow…Today’s press conference was the last straw. I know the need for a prosecution referral when I see one.’”

Of course, Galonski is referring to the International Criminal Court at The Hague which the United States does not recognize. We don’t recognize it for the fact that to do so would put a non-constitutional adjudicating body above our Constitution, our rule of law, and our Supreme Court. Because we don’t recognize the ICC it has no teeth, no authority…nothing.

Now, Galonski either doesn’t understand that her “referral” means diddly-squat (which makes her a blithering idiot), forgot that her “referral” means less than the New York Times at the bottom of a birdcage (which puts her in Joe Biden’s forgetfulness group), or is a political opportunist (which puts her ethics below that of shyster attorneys and CNN and MSNBC’s).

We also need to look at her motivation via her campaign contributors. We need to see if she took any checks or quid pro quo in-kind contributions from big pharma, and here’s why.

In several locations around the world – including Australia, France, and (ironically) China, Hydroxychloroquine, when combined with Zithromax and zinc, has proven incredibly effective against the COVID-19 virus, both as a treatment after infection and as a prophylactic. This would mean that any big pharma concocted, high-priced cure that would hold the treasuries of the world hostage to political extortion wouldn’t be so critical to achieving.

And let me further juxtapose Galonski’s ignorance with this. A poll of 6,227 physicians in 30 countries across three continents, conducted by the global healthcare polling company Sermo, found that they believe hydroxychloroquine to be the best treatment for COVID-19. Further, the poll found that the United States has the lowest percentage of physicians prescribing the drug, although that number is growing.

Sermo CEO, Peter Kirk is quoted as saying, “Physicians should have more of a voice in how we deal with the pandemic and be able to quickly share information with one another around the world.” He alluded to the poll results (albeit his organization’s) as a “treasure trove of global insight for policymakers.”

And let’s file this under the “blind squirrel finding a nut” column.

Bloomberg (of all places) reports that more than 99 percent of the coronavirus fatalities in Italy – one of the world’s COVID-19 hotspots – were people who suffered from previous medical conditions, i.e. they were already identified as vulnerable, sometimes three-times over.

The Istituto Superiore di Sanita, Italy’s national health authority, discovered, post mortem, that of the 132,547 COVID-19 cases only 0.2 percent of the 16,523 fatalities (as opposed to the 22,837 who have recovered completely) were free and clear of any known preexisting condition. Those who died did so from complications related to COVID-19 in concert with their pre-existing conditions. The institute categorized those conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease, among others.

Additionally, Italy has a state-run healthcare system that has established guidelines that mandate, and I quote from The Atlantic: “Those who are too old to have a high likelihood of recovery, or who have too low a number of ‘life-years’ left even if they should survive, would be left to die.” To be more succinct, Italy is not treating COVID-19 elderly patients who present with an advanced stage of coronavirus. Ain’t socialized medicine wonderful…

But I digress.

Again, I am not saying that the COVID-19 virus event we are experiencing isn’t serious. It is. What I am saying is that it is being exploited by opportunistic politicians and special interests that glean benefit through chaos and is over-hyped by the media for ideological purposes.

Given the extremes to which our society has stooped during this event (hoarders should take a good long look in the mirror to examine what kind of person they have become), wouldn’t employing the hydroxychloroquine cocktail within the non-vulnerable community be a positive step toward marginalizing this virus? Rather than investing in the panic that saw New York and Michigan’s governors reverse their “ban” on hydroxychloroquine – only to now passionately exclaim they need more access to the drug, why not remain calm, use common sense hygiene protocols in mass, employ what is now a clinically effective avenue of treatment to the non-vulnerable, and sure-footedly develop treatments and vaccines for the less resilient?

We all must stop feeding at the trough of media, political, and special interest manipulation. In our fast-paced, “gotta-have-it-now”, instant gratification world, we have to take the time to inform and educate ourselves on issues and seek out facts. Just like our addictions to cellphones and social media, we have become dependent on the information we consume via the usual suspect media outlets and a cursory look into their motives points to two things: 1) they are for-profit entities that compete using sensationalism; and 2) each of them is not without their ideological biases and agendas.

Gone are the days of journalism based on “just the facts” and “who, what, where, when, and how.” Today we have opinion-based news that preys on emotions and puts more weight into the speculative “why” of every story. True, fact-based journalism, if not dead, is in critical condition with questionable chances for recovery.

Good thing Italy isn’t in control of journalism’s destiny.
