Pigs Do Fly, This is From the Boston Herald Editorial Board

I kept asking, wondering, and hoping that someone that manifested Schiff’s lies or the operation(s) of the FBI and the DoJ during this nightmare to come forward would admit it all was a concocted charade. I never expected it to come from the Boston Herald Editorial Board Staff. Yes, pigs DO fly. And a hat tip for manning up.

Sure would be fun to talk to a member or two of the Board and ask them what was the defining moment for them and what do they know that is not out just yet in the public domain… further… will the Boston Herald write yet another op-ed with each new release of transcripts or documents?

It would be fun for President Trump to invite the Editorial Board to the White House for a beer summit… right? RIGHT?

Boston Herald declares bankruptcy, agrees to be sold

BH: House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has been feeding the American people misinformation for years. He used his position — replete with access to information and people in the know — to distribute wild accounts of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.

The effect was to frighten and alarm millions of Americans, sowing division between neighbors, toxifying our discourse, and raising anxieties.

The Trump administration spent time and resources fighting off the fallacy that cursed them since day one and deprived the American people of a president who could devote his time and energy to the policies they had elected him to enact.

Just a year ago, Adam Schiff was on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, Fox News — anyone who would have him — talking about Trump/Russia collusion “in plain sight.”

Even after the Mueller report clearly indicated that there was no provable collusion or coordination between the Russian government and the Trump campaign, Schiff continued to propagate the lie.

Chris Wallace of Fox News pressed Schiff on the claims, playing the congressman a highlight reel of his assertions of collusion.

Schiff shot back, “What more clear intent to collude could you have than the Russians offering dirt on Hillary Clinton as part of what was described as an effort to help Mr. Trump in the campaign and Don Jr. saying if it’s what you say, I would love it?”

“Intent to collude.”

That after years sounding the alarm about “damning evidence” of collusion with Putin that was “more than circumstantial.” This scandal was “beyond Watergate,” Schiff, privy to all of the sensitive intelligence, told us.

We found out this week that Schiff always knew there was no evidence of collusion. By day he would interview former Obama administration officials including Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power, national security adviser Susan Rice and Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who would tell him there was nothing, and by night he’d jump on a newscast assuring Americans that he’d seen evidence of something.

But there was nothing.

The canard Schiff continued to promulgate was supercharged, though, by the media, who went wall to wall with their coverage. Relics from Watergate were dragged out onto “Breaking News” sets and we were told how serious the matter was.

Hysterical anti-Trump media personalities took to social media to scold anyone who doubted the Russian conspiracy, lecturing us about putting “country over party.”

The coordination between Schiff and the media was pernicious.

As Lee Smith wrote in the New York Post, “The tragic fact is that once-prestigious press organizations, including CNN as well as MSNBC, the New York Times and the Washington Post, weren’t fooled by the collusion hoax. They were an essential part of it.”

Adam Schiff is a vile actor. Democrats must follow their own mantra and put their country over party and eject the snake in their midst.

There are bipartisan endeavors — like infrastructure legislation, economic recovery, and the battle against the pandemic — that have undoubtedly been hindered by the malevolence of the congressman from California who abused his power by weaponizing his position in order to bring down a duly-elected president.

We will continue to bear the poisoned fruit from his actions for years and it will happen again in a different form unless there is a reckoning, once and for all.

Congress Attempting to Issue New Code of Conduct Rules for Judges

This has been building for quite a while and was noticeable if anyone watched any Senate confirmation hearings for judge candidate nominees. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, (D-RI) is one of the loudest drivers of this change.

House Judiciary Committee ranking member Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, is launching an investigation into a draft advisory opinion by the Judicial Conference’s Committee on Codes of Conduct which, if approved, would prohibit federal judges from being members of the right-leaning Federalist Society or left-wing American Constitution Society (ACS).

Jordan’s concern with the draft advisory opinion is that membership in these groups had previously been allowed, and while under the draft opinion this would no longer be allowed, membership in other groups including the American Bar Association (ABA) would continue to be permitted. The committee said their concern with the Federalist Society and ACS is that membership could lead to people questioning a judge’s impartiality when it comes to issues on which those groups have taken positions.

Humm, the judges can participate in events held by those organizations, they just can’t be active members? It was not too long ago that Senator Dianne Feinstein also had a huge issue with Judge Amy Barrett’s fidelity to Catholic theology. Other senators joining with Senator Feinstein were Senator Durbin (D-IL) and Senator Hirono (D-HI).

It is interesting that Trump Judge nominee and confirmed, Judge Ralph Erickson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, also chairs the committee behind the draft opinion. That opinion to change the code of conduct is found here. (Important Read)

Simply put, Judge Erickson has enlisted a panel to challenge the Federalist Society.

The proposed rules change is the latest salvo in a campaign to cast the Federalist Society as too political, and thereby politically risky, for judiciary participation. The Wall Street Journal editorial board labeled the proposal “judicial political mischief masked in high sounding rhetoric,” a step that is spurring a backlash among “judges and others” who should denounce it as “undermining legal education in America and perhaps violating the First Amendment right of association.”

Conservative activists put it more bluntly, calling the rules change a transparent attempt to neuter the Federalist Society. The motivation is obvious, these activists say, after the Senate has confirmed a record number of Trump-appointed judges, many of whom are Federalist Society members or have participated in the group’s events.

“This rules change was probably instigated and driven by people who are upset with the transformation that is taking place in the federal judiciary, and since they are on the left, they are accustomed to addressing problems by trying to censor the other side,” a longtime Federalist Society member told RealClearPolitics. “And that’s exactly what this is — an act of censorship.”

Carrie Severino, the chief counsel and policy director for the conservative Judicial Crisis Network, said the new rule would create a different standard for judges than they have been held to in the past and severely limit their civic participation.

“Obviously there are situations that do require recusal – if someone is involved in a political campaign or directly advocating for a political position,” she said. “But simply being in a group that believes in certain principles — they are misconstruing the Federalist Society by calling it a group that takes political positions.” Read more here.

Trump’s Baptism Scene

While the Corleone family of Godfather fame was the embodiment of mob life and the acquisition of money, power, and prestige through criminal activity, the Trump family––in stark contrast––embodies the nose-to-the-grindstone, upward-mobility glory of the American Dream.

Nevertheless, when I think of the fanatical, maniacal and relentless persecution, accusations, vilification, and sabotage that President Trump has experienced for the past four years at the hands of crazed Democrats––both in and out of office––the infamously stunning Baptism Scene at the end of Godfather One comes immediately to mind.

In that scene, Michael Corleone––who attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where he met his future wife Kay, and who then left college to join the U.S. Marines after the attack on Pearl Harbor––is featured in the baptism ceremony where he has been asked to be the godfather of Michael Rizzi, the infant son of his sister Connie and her husband Carlo Rizzi, in 1955.

The solemn ritual takes place in the splendiferous Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral––built in 1809––a Roman Catholic Church on Mulberry Street in New York City. It is held shortly after the funeral of Michael’s father, the powerful Don, Vito Corleone.

Before Don Vito’s death, however, he and Michael––the ordained heir to his father’s mafia fiefdom––concoct a complex plan to vanquish all their enemies.

As Michael’s wife Kay holds the infant––who is bedecked in a lace-embroidered baptismal gown handed down through generations––the ceremony begins, with the priest intoning in both Latin and English––Let us pray, mercifully hear our prayers, we beseech Thee, O Lord; Oremus: Preces nostras, quaesumus, Domine, clementer exaudi––and then sprinkling the baby’s head with the Holy Water that symbolizes purification and his admission to the Christian Church.

As the organ music builds, Michael says “I do” to renouncing Satan, to renouncing his sins, and to becoming the infant’s godfather. In each renunciation––there are five of them––he reaffirms his commitment to be worthy of this honor.

And with each surge of music in which the priest sprinkles Holy Water on the infant’s brow and Michael affirms that he has renounced his sins, the audience sees Don Vito’s and Michael’s master plan being executed with balletic precision.

PAYBACK

It took years––of intrigue, treachery, heartache––for Michael Corleone to exact revenge on the Corleone family’s enemies, just as it has taken years for the truth of the betrayal of President Trump to be revealed.

But in D.C., the bad guys are usually not shot down in elevators or in a hooker’s bed. Rather, justice is worked through an Attorney General, a special prosecutor, and a handful of honest politicians.

In this case, as it turned out, “the best and the brightest” of the Obama regime and the “best and the brightest” of the leftist media were no match for the singular brilliance of President Trump. His political enemies should have known that for the man who dealt for half a century with the union sharks and cutthroat politicians in New York City, as well as mob bosses on which the fictional Godfather dons were based, the D.C. swamp denizens were small potatoes.

Fuggedabout the fact that these slithery creatures are not honest, moral, ethical, or trustworthy––they are simply not that smart.

It is now clear that President Trump has beaten the Obama regime and the leftist media decisively. Over the next several months, we will see these reptilian putative criminals brought to justice.

And that is not to omit the 35 bottom-dwellers involved in the Russian-collusion hoax, the roles of whom Willis L. Krumholz spells out in sordid detail, including Lisa Page, Peter Strzok, Joseph Pientka, Bruce Ohr, Nellie Ohr, Christopher Steele, Loretta Lynch, Victoria Nuland, Glenn Simpson, on an on––all in obsequious service to the Obama regime.

Not to forget Samantha Power, Obama’s Ambassador to the rancid United Nations, who former South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy said was “the largest unmasker of U.S. persons in our country’s history”––and her ignominious and possibly criminal role in asking that the identity of Gen. Michael Flynn be revealed in classified intelligence reports seven times between Election Day 2016 and the inauguration of President Trump on Jan. 20, 2017, although she testified later of having “no recollection” of the requests, as reported by Miranda Devine in the NY Post.

Let us remember that the fish always stinks from the head. It now appears that this dishonorable cabal was led by Barack Obama and those who financed his own peculiar––indeed fishy––rise to power. And those who participated in the crashingly failed attempts to destroy the Trump presidency––the Russian-collusion hoax, the Stormy Daniels hoax, the Ukraine hoax, the impeachment hoax, the leaking, the lying, the spying, and the media whores who to this day cover for Obama’s many failures and scandals––including this one, Obamagate––are now on the threshold of paying the piper, so to speak.

It may be true that the wheels of justice move slowly. But right now they are moving in the right direction, in the direction of identifying and hopefully indicting and imprisoning the already-disgraced people who participated for the past four years in undermining and trying to destroy a duly elected President of the United States.

Republicans Don’t Dare Call It Treason

As more evidence emerges of the role played by former President Barack Hussein Obama in directing Russia-gate, President Donald J. Trump’s “allies” are leaving the field of battle. They seem not to want to hold Barack Hussein Obama responsible for what President Trump calls the “biggest political crime in American history, by far!”

First, Senator Lindsey Graham said he wouldn’t subpoena Obama to testify before his Judiciary Committee about Russia-gate. Then, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA,) stated that House Republicans have not made any criminal referrals for Obama or 2020 Democratic presidential candidate and Obama former Vice President Joe Biden relating to Russia-gate. Finally, Attorney General William Barr said he did not expect criminal probes of either Obama or Biden in the matter.

This is all we need to know about whether top Republicans in the House and Senate and an Attorney General nominated by Republican President Trump, are serious about getting to the bottom of Russia-gate.

This is so despite the fact that progressive historian Eric Zuesse has written that Obama is in “severe legal jeopardy” because of his role in sabotaging the Trump Administration. He explains, “The biggest crime that a U.S. President can commit is to try to defeat American democracy (the Constitutional functioning of the U.S. Government) itself, either by working with foreign powers to take it over, or else by working internally within America to sabotage democracy for his or her own personal reasons.” In either case, he wrote, it’s treason.

“What we are watching is turning out to be traces of a plot against a government elected by the American people,” said Michael Hudson and Paul Craig Roberts about the role of various Obama officials in sabotaging the Trump Administration. They added, in a story that was published back in 2017, that, “Law requires Trump to arrest those responsible and to put them on trial for treason and conspiracy to overthrow the government of the United States.”

Here we are three years later and Graham, Nunes, and now Barr have not done anything to hold Obama personally responsible. They have failed to provide Trump with the legal basis on which to accuse Obama and others with treasonous conduct.

Left-wingers not beholden to the Democratic Party are willing to admit the obvious. Author Branko Marcetic called the targeting of Trump National Security Adviser Michael T. Flynn “a case of entrapment” and said the FBI “even used outright false claims to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page…” He concluded that the FBI and various US government agencies engaged in “prosecutorial overreach, entrapment, and the criminalization of foreign policy dissent” in the case of Russia-gate.

Trying to appeal to traditional liberals, he notes, “…the fact that the FBI’s misconduct was aimed at a right-wing government this time should be no reason for Democrats to dismiss the magnitude of the scandal.”

The magnitude of the scandal is what makes it treason. This was a direct assault on the American system of government that we now understand was based on a phony dossier, compiled by a former British spy, based on Russian disinformation.

Nunes wrote a book back in 2010, Restoring the Republic, but he has not followed through in the matter of holding Obama accountable. Graham frequently appears on the Fox News Sean Hannity show, posturing as a conservative, but he won’t call Obama to testify at his upcoming Russia-gate hearings. After Barr said he didn’t anticipate criminal charges against Obama or Biden, the conservative legal analyst, Andrew C. McCarthy, agreed that what Obama and Biden did “simply may not be criminal,” even though the Democrats’ may have used counterintelligence powers “for partisan political purposes.”

Why the eagerness to let Obama off the hook? These inside-the-beltway politicians and commentators are afraid to use the word “treason.” They are failing the American people and their president.

In truth, Obama’s motives were two-fold. One, he wanted to disrupt the Trump Administration, making it impossible for Trump to govern and deal with real national security problems. Obama knew this would enable our enemies to gain an advantage over us. Second, he was afraid that the Trump Administration would use the resources of the government to investigate Obama’s own mysterious background and identity. As we argued in one of our Obama books, Comrade Obama Unmasked: Marxist Mole in the White House, “The smoking gun evidence of Barack Hussein Obama’s deep personal relationship with suspected Soviet espionage agent and Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis is the real Russia-gate scandal.”

At one of his press briefings, Trump was asked by the Washington Post’s Philip Rucker “What crime, exactly, are you accusing President Obama of committing and do you believe the Justice Department should prosecute him?”

“You know what the crime is,” Trump replied. “The crime is very obvious to everybody.” He added, “All you have to do is read the newspapers — except yours.”

The answer to the question is treason. It’s obvious.

But in this day and age, treason is not talked about.

To cite another example, consider the actions of the Federal Reserve in hiring the notorious firm BlackRock to help purchase billions of dollars in bonds and securities. At a Tuesday hearing, Senator Martha McSally asked chairman Jerome Powell why a firm like BlackRock, which invests in Chinese companies, had been hired for this purpose. He replied, in part: “All large asset managers buy Chinese securities. These are global asset managers — I’m not here to defend or criticize them for that, it’s just not really relevant to the work that we want them to do.”

It’s “not relevant” when a firm does business with a country and regime that unleashed this virus on the world? Why didn’t the Fed require Blackrock to divest from China? That’s precisely what the National Legal and Policy Center has asked the firm to do.

One of McSally’s concerns was whether the profits made by BlackRock would be used to buy more Chinese companies. “Communist China should not be profiting off of unleashing this calamity on the world and that is something that should unite all Americans, even if they work at BlackRock,” she said.

Powell apparently didn’t think that was “relevant.”

She noted that BlackRock’s website has a page titled “Five Myths and realities about investing in China,” and explained, “According to BlackRock, one of the biggest myths about China is that Chinese state-owned enterprises don’t control their economy, and BlackRock even tries to back that up with data — I won’t go into all of it, but it’s ridiculous.”

Speaking of the Chinese, in November of 2017, as Russia-gate was underway, Obama made a trip to Beijing, to have what was described as a “hush-hush” meeting with Chinese dictator Xi Jinping. They were described as “veteran cadres,” a term generally applied to retired Chinese Communist Party officials.

In the midst of all of this, a Fox News anchor, Neil Cavuto, is attacking President Trump for using a drug he promoted, hydroxychloroquine, in order to prevent coronavirus. His physician said the drug has potential and the risks are relatively low.

Rather than attack the president, he should be commended for practicing what he preaches. But in this upside-down world, in which Obama is accused of treason, and the Federal Reserve uses a China-friendly company to conduct business, Trump is once again made into a villain – and on a so-called “conservative” news channel.
