A Gender Neutral Mr. Potato Head Has His Tater Tots Cut Off

The imbecilic derangement of the so-called “woke” culture warriors is shown perfectly by their politically correct focus on the gender reassignment of a plastic potato. Some say to move on, it is just a toy and its maker, Hasbro, is merely trying to rebrand its iconic toy by removing the sexist “Mr.” from in front of “Potato Head” on the toy’s marketing and packaging.

I would argue that it is more than that. As a toy, it is a way of reaching, and brainwashing, our children, of continuing the left’s attack on the nuclear family, of fundamentally transforming society in a way that neuters both religion and science, and places government between parents and their children, Control the children for a generation and you control the future. As the Christian Post reports:

Toy manufacturer Hasbro stirred controversy immediately after it announced the launch of a “modern” version of its iconic Mr. Potato Head toy line that will drop the honorific “Mr.,” to be more “inclusive” and to let kids create their own type of potato families, including two moms or two dads.

“Hasbro is making sure all feel welcome in the Potato Head world by officially dropping the Mr. from the Mr. Potato Head brand name and logo to promote gender equality and inclusion,” the company said in an announcement Thursday about the new line that will be released this fall.

The company later backtracked in a statement that muted references to multi-gender inclusiveness but its intentions as part of the “woke” establishment are clear. If you can convince children through the use of a toy that gender and family structures are a choice then convincing children and their parents that they can and even have a right to change their gender should be easy. Gender reassignment of children has been the longtime goal of President Biden’s pick for assistant secretary of Health and Human Services, Rachel Levine. As the Washington Examiner reports:

President Biden’s pick for assistant secretary of Health and Human Services, a transgender physician from Pennsylvania, has advocated the chemical castration of children questioning their sexuality for nearly a decade.

Rachel Levine, who would make history as the first transgender official to be confirmed by the Senate, has long held several controversial beliefs on the topic of pediatric medicine — some of which rose to the surface during her confirmation hearing on Thursday.

Although most questions asked of her focused on how she would facilitate the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and direct policies to avoid future health catastrophes, Sen. Rand Paul, a Kentucky Republican and medical doctor, grilled Levine on her past statements promoting hormonal therapy for minors who say they’re transgender.

“Like surgical mutilation, hormonal interruption of puberty can permanently alter and prevent secondary sexual characteristics,” Paul said, after comparing transgender surgeries to genital mutilation. “The American College of Pediatricians reports that 80% to 95% of pre-puberty children with gender dysphoria will experience resolution by late adolescence if not exposed to medical intervention and social affirmation. Dr. Levine, do you believe minors are capable of making such a life-changing decision of changing one’s sex?”   

Levine wouldn’t give a clear yes or no answer to that question on the surgical mutilation of children or the use of so-called chemical “puberty blockers” on the growing and changing bodies of children lest the gender warrior agenda of the Biden administration be exposed. Sen. Paul also noted the hypocrisy of Levine and the left is suggesting the chemical castration of children, whether chosen by children, coerced by parents, or mandated by government through legislation, as PJ Media noted:

Paul went on to destroy the Left’s double standard, noting that many leftists screamed like hyenas that off-label use of medication was the end of the world when it came to hydroxychloroquine use for COVID-19.

“I find it ironic that the Left that went nuts over hydroxychloroquine being used possibly for COVID are not alarmed that these hormones are being used off-label. There’re no long-term studies. We don’t know what happens to them. We do know there are dozens and dozens of people who have been through this who regret that this happened. And a permanent change happened to them. If you’ve ever been around children, 14-year-olds can’t make this decision…we should be outraged that someone is talking to a three-year-old about changing their sex.”

Indeed, we should be outraged. A child, even a teenager, is not equipped with the life experience, maturity, and judgment to ponder such a question or decision. This is a parental decision, not a governmental one. And it should be based on sound moral teachings and on science.

Yes, the science. In fact, this is one area where science and religion are in firm agreement. There are only two genders and our anatomies spell out the difference. He created male and female. God does not put people into the wrong bodies. As Dr. Ben Carson notes, to push or force gender reassignment on children is one of the worst forms of child abuse:

Dr. Ben Carson, a retired pediatric neurosurgeon, described the pushing of left-wing transgender ideology upon children as “child abuse” on Friday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

Marlow recalled Thursday’s confirmation hearing for Dr. Rachel Levine, a man who describes himself as a woman.

“We’re being told it’s scientific to allow children to change their genders, either with treatments or with surgeries,” Marlow said. “This is not science. It’s so far beyond it, but give me your sense of someone who’s lived his life as a scientific person.”

Carson replied, “Well, I think they have completely neglected biology. Biology tells us that there are males and there are females, and there’s a reason for that, and we also know that the human brain is an incredibly complex organ and it’s not fully developed until your mid-to late-twenties.”

“So why would you be asking a pre-adolescent about these complex issues?” Carson asked. “Why would we even be complicating their lives? Children are curious by nature, and of course, they’re going to ask questions and explore things. That doesn’t mean that they want to change their sex. And to confuse them in that way, I think, is child abuse. It certainly has nothing to do with science. These radical things are actually going to ruin people’s lives long term.”

The ruination of people’s lives, particularly women’s lives is seen in the push to allow biological males to identify as women and participate in and dominate women’s sports. Where are the feminists to protest the ending of the athletic dreams, and scholarships, of young women who are doomed to lose against biological males who, even with their tater tots missing, still have their male muscular and bone structure they grew up with? This and all other gender distinctions and protections are to disappear if the Orwellian-named Equality Act, just passed by Nancy Pelosi’s House with the help of three RINO Republicans, somehow manages to become law. As CNS News reports:

On Thursday, Democrats in the U.S. House (and three Republicans) passed the Equality Act, a sweeping pro-LGBT bill that, among other things, essentially equates “gender identity” with biological sex. Rev. Franklin Graham labeled the bill “dangerous,” and explained that it would destroy girls’ sports and women’s privacy by allowing men (transgender women) to be legally recognized as females.

“God made us male and female, and that’s it,” said Graham in a Feb. 22 post on Facebook. “With some 6,000 years of human history, it has only been in the last few years that people have come up with all of these additional designations for gender identity.”

“Have you heard of the Equality Act?” he asked. “The name might sound good, but it’s deceiving. It has nothing to do with equality. It’s just a smokescreen to force Americans to accept the LGBTQ agenda and it creates a lot of INEQUALITY for Christians and all people of faith. It punishes individuals and organizations that disagree based on their moral convictions.”

“If passed into law, the Equality Act could prohibit religious organizations—Jewish, Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, all—and churches from hiring only like-minded people who believe what they believe,” explained Graham.

“The Equality Act would destroy women’s and girls’ sports in this country as we know it,” he added. “It would allow biological males who choose to identify as females to compete for titles, scholarships, and recognition at all age levels.”

“The Equality Act would erase women’s privacy,” said Graham, “in locker rooms, dressing rooms, homeless shelters, restrooms, and more.”

Let me be so indelicate as to suggest that the issue is common sense simple – where you pee ought to be determined by what you pee with. Period. This nonsense about self-identifying as a woman so a man can use the same restroom as someone else’s daughter is just that – nonsense. Just as it is nonsense about the Almighty putting you in the wrong body. You might be confused, but God is not. Male and female He created them and I’m quite sure He knew the difference.

So it was welcome news when President Trump flushed Obama-Biden’s transgendered restroom push and decisively  revoked the Obama administrations “guidance” to educational institutions that requiring bathroom use based on birth gender and genitalia constitutes sex discrimination:

The Trump administration revoked an Obama-era mandate compelling public schools nationwide to permit restroom and locker room access on the basis of gender identity — a move that could have significant ramifications for a case before the Supreme Court concerning transgender rights.

The Departments of Education and Justice issued a joint guidance Wednesday evening rolling back the order. The two-page “Dear Colleague Letter” said the Obama administration had failed to substantiate the claim that Title IX’s prohibition on “sex” discrimination in education also applies to gender identity.

“In these circumstances, the Department of Education and the Department of Justice have decided to withdraw and rescind the above-referenced guidance documents in order to further and more completely consider the legal issues involved,” the order reads. “The Departments thus will not rely on the views expressed within them.”

The guidance also said the federal government must recognize “the primary role of the States and local school districts in establishing educational policy.”

This nod to states’ rights as well as common sense is hopefully a sign that the federal government under President Biden is overusing federal power to social engineer society along progressive and liberal lines. It is good news and legal ammunition for states that have resisted this absurd form of political correctness like North Carolina.

North Carolina rightly resisted the politically correct federal bully challenging its common-sense law, HB 2, which says restrooms should be limited to people with the appropriate plumbing, and that crossdressers sharing the facilities with your daughter, wife, and daughter are not a good, or safe idea.

North Carolina filed a lawsuit challenging the Department of Justice’s ultimatum demanding that the state cease and desist enforcement of that law  As NBC News reported:

It was the state’s response to the US Justice Department, which last week gave Gov. Pat McCrory until the end of the day Monday to respond to a letter that said the law violates federal civil rights statutes.

Monday’s lawsuit called the Justice Department’s legal position “a baseless and blatant overreach” and a radical reinterpretation of federal laws, especially the Civil Rights Act’s ban on sex discrimination.

“Transgender status is not a protected class,” under the law, the suit said, and if the Justice Department believes it should be, it should ask Congress to change the law.

Of course, a reinterpretation of the law and bypassing Congress was nothing new for the Obama administration, which seemed to think that saying that only biological females may use the ladies’ room is equivalent to having “whites only” drinking fountains. This is. of course, nonsense. Rosa Parks made history by sitting at the front of the bus. She did not try to use the men’s room at the bus station.

Being black is something you cannot change. Discriminating on that basis is wrong and perniciously evil. But saying a man’s civil rights are being violated because he self-identifies as a woman and needs to use the ladies’ facilities is nonsense based on politically correct psycho-babble.  Sorry, dude, if you feel you are trapped in the wrong body, deal with it. But you already have a restroom designed just for you.

You are not being denied equal access to a public accommodation. Having the wrong body, if that is to be believed, does not entitle you to use the wrong restroom. It was never the intent of the 1964 Civil Rights Act to allow boys to use the little girls’ room. It is also dangerous, allowing any creep to put on make-up and a dress and follow your daughter, sister, or wife into the restroom.

This was the same sort of nonsense that led the Supreme Court to ignore both federalism and state laws to say gay marriage was a civil right as much as interracial marriage was. But being black is something one cannot change and allowing blacks and whites to marry did not change the state, culturally, and historically sanctioned institution of marriage as a union between one man and one woman.

Transgender restrooms change everything. Amazingly the right to privacy championed by liberals has been jettisoned by liberals who see nothing wrong or dangerous in the concept. Kimberly Ross, writing for RedState, notes the slippery slope this puts society on:

The attack on gender norms has increased exponentially over the past few years and will continue as biologically-assigned gender becomes offensive. Even large, middle-class retailers like Target have gotten on board with the trend to erase the fine lines which define male and female. Last August, Target began to remove gender-based signs. Earlier this year, they introduced a gender-neutral home goods line, so kids won’t feel like they’re being pushed in a specific direction. On the contrary, it is quite alright to encourage the traditional idea that boys should be boys and girls should be girls. In fact, we must…

The slippery slope to accepting everything begins by refusing to acknowledge that DNA is stubborn, and that who you were created to be is not a mistake. If we never question transgenderism, though it battles against inherent norms, then we’ll begin to put a stamp of approval on everything. As recently reported by The Independent, a criminal psychologist announced online that pedophilia is a sexual orientation, like being gay or straight. While I’m not asserting that trans individuals are in any way child molesters, I do believe that promoting a delusional view of gender, and making rationalizations along the way, has led us to this point where we must accept and never question anything.

Over a million signatures were gathered on a petition opposing Target’s gender-neutral bathrooms. These are not bigots but husbands worried about wives, parents worried about their children literally being exposed to something they should not be forced to deal with.

In response, more than 1.1 million customers joined a boycott sponsored by the American Family Association.

“Nearly everyone has a mother, wife, daughter, or friend who is put in jeopardy by this policy,” AFA President Tim Wildmon said. “Predators and voyeurs would take advantage of the policy to prey on those who are vulnerable.”

PALMDALE – A 33-year-old Palmdale man who allegedly dressed as a woman while secretly videotaping females using a department store bathroom was charged with several misdemeanor counts Tuesday, authorities said. Jason Pomare was charged with six counts of unlawful use of a concealed camera for the purposes of sexual gratification, according to Sergeant Brian Hudson of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau.

Sexual predator jailed after claiming to be ‘transgender’ to assault women in shelter 

A biological man claiming to be ‘transgender’ so as to gain access to and prey on women at two Toronto shelters was jailed “indefinitely” last week after being declared by a judge a “dangerous offender.” Pro-family leaders are pointing out that this is exactly the type of incident they warned of as the Ontario government passed its “gender identity” bill, dubbed the “bathroom bill,” in 2012.

There will be sexual assaults among these incidents to be sure. No responsible parent lets their child use a public restroom without accompanying them. Free-for-all restrooms only make the vulnerable more so. Okay, not all transgendered people are predators. But when did surgically altering your body bestow upon anyone an alleged constitutional right to use another gender’s restroom.

The whole concept of someone being “trapped” in the wrong body is nonsense. Evangelical Christians and others believe the Almighty does not make such mistakes. If someone is confused about their sexual identity, they should just drop their drawers and take a wild guess. It is ironic that liberals who insisted we stay out of the bedrooms of homosexuals and lesbians now insist transgendered people should not stay out of the wrong bathroom.

We are all equal but we are also different. Deal with it, liberals.

This is the brave new world that supposedly 81 million Americans voted for. Somehow I doubt that but then again cancel culture does not allow me to doubt that. Freedom and liberty and the Constitution are dying as we morph from a world of twice-baked potatoes to half-baked ideas. Secure your tater tots. It’s going to be a bumpy ride.
