Nationalism vs. Patriotism: What’s the Difference and Why it Matters

By: Sam Jacobs | Ammo.com

what is nationalism vs patriotismThe terms “nationalism” and “patriotism” are often used interchangeably. This is understandable, as they have somewhat overlapping meanings, both of which suffer from a certain amount of vagueness. However, there are a number of key differences between the two that are worth shedding light on. In the final analysis, we believe that the term “nationalism,” while not denoting anything totalitarian by its nature, is not an accurate term for the sentiment that exists in the United States. Nationalism, it would seem, is more suited to Europe or Asia, places with historic nations, united by common language and ethnicity that are necessarily tied with a certain area of land.

There’s a lot to unpack here and the differences are extremely subtle. And to give a bit of a spoiler, we’re not going to be taking the position, as is often the case, that patriotism is fine but nationalism is simply a metastatic and malignant form of patriotism.

First Things First: How Do Both Differ From Libertarianism and Conservatism

Gadsden Flag Don't Tread On Me

Before going any further, it’s worth taking a few minutes to distinguish both patriotism and nationalism from libertarianism and conservatism. We can do this without parsing out the difference between patriotism and nationalism – and for that matter, libertarianism and conservatism.

Audio Proves John Kerry is a Traitor

By: Denise Simon | Founders Code

Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Iranian Foreign Minister and long-time friend of John Kerry, had an interview recording with an economist named Saeed Leylaz in March. The call was recorded and leaked to a London-based Persian news outlet called Iran International.

Inside the call, Zarif revealed that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps actually runs the country and often is at odds with Zarif. Additionally admitted was the death of Qassim Suleimani, the commander of the Guard’s elite force known as the Quds Force has damaged the country. Suleimani exploited his power in the nuclear deal, the war plans in Syria as well as ground operations.

Based on how the New York Times twists the facts and alters the full truth, there are some details spelled out that are interesting, found here.

There are already calls in Washington, DC for John Kerry to resign and there is justification for that, however, not before there is a full hearing in the Senate. Why you ask? Also included in the Zarif interview was the admission that John Kerry often spoke to Zarif and in one particular case shared the highly classified fact(s) that Israel was behind at least 200 airstrikes in Syria. Zarif says he was shocked that Kerry would reveal such protected information and betray Israel.

Trapper’s Quote Of The Week

By: Trapper Pettit

Norm Franz said, “Gold is the money of kings, silver is the money of gentleman, barter is the money of peasants, and debt is the money of slaves.” With Social Security, and pension funds owning most of America’s debt through its citizen’s retirement money, confidence is high that this isn’t going to end well for the average slave. It never does.

Marxism is Defeating America But We Refuse to Notice (Clare Lopez) [Video]

By: Citizens Commission on National Security

Barry Nussbaum: Hello and welcome to ATP Report. I’m Barry Nussbaum. We are honored and so happy to have back with us, National security expert Clare Lopez. Clare is the founder of Lopez Liberty, LLC. She’s got a background in American foreign service. She’s a national security expert. She’s a former CIA big shot, and we’re thrilled to have her back. Hello, Clare.

Clare Lopez: Hey, Barry. Thank you very much. I’m glad to be back with you anytime.

Barry Nussbaum: I want to tell our audience that I am astounded by the theory and evidence to back your theory that you have sent to me. I consider the show we are about to do, and we’re going to do a follow-up after, one of the most important things you and I have ever discussed. In maybe out of the thousand-plus shows ATP has done, this is in the top one or two percent.

You have come up with an understanding of what’s happening in America that was predicted a generation ago by some really, really bad people, and everything that was written and predicted has come true. Tell us, in brief, what the heck I’m so upset about?

Clare Lopez: Well, Barry, what we’re talking about was written in a book called The Naked Communist. The Naked Communist is a book that was written in 1958 by a former FBI agent named W. Cleon Skousen. From his, at that point in time, decades of experience with the FBI and up against communism.

As well, his understanding of the testimony that I think he either heard, read about, or took notes about in the congressional hearings of earlier in the 1950s by Communist and former Communist who came to testify as witnesses in front of the House on un-American Activities Committee and also in the Senate, Senator Joseph McCarthy’s committee.

He put together the book because he wanted to sort of consolidate in one place for Americans to have easy access to read and understand what he had come to understand about the communist threat that was infiltrating the US government and every sector of American society.

Military Veteran: China Wins When U.S. Withdraws from Afghanistan

By: Citizens Commission on National Security

[This is an article by J.M. Phelps of One News Now based on an interview with CCNS member Col. Lawrence Sellin (U.S. Army Reserve-Ret.)]

A former Army officer contends the U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan will bolster a number of geopolitical shifts, giving China an advantage in the region.

On March 25, in his first press conference since taking office, President Joe Biden expressed that the upcoming May 1 deadline to remove U.S. troops from Afghanistan will be “hard to meet,” citing “tactical reasons” for a possible delay. The United States has been at war in Afghanistan for two decades, and efforts to extricate itself increased exponentially during the Donald Trump administration upon the signing of a “peace deal” on February 29, 2020.

Under that agreement, the U.S. committed to withdrawing all U.S. military forces from Afghanistan, while intra-Afghan dialogue and negotiations between the Taliban and the existing Afghan government were called upon to resolve the conflict and stabilize the South Asian country.

Dark Diversity; Our Schools Choose Their Teaching Staff by The Color Of Their Skin, Not The Content Of Character Or The Extent Of Knowledge

By: Tabitha Korol

Diversity in America once meant that one could follow one’s dream by studying and working in any field of endeavor, unhindered by local or federal government. Photo credit ShutterStock.com, licensed.

CLEVELAND, OH – In a small, but vibrant, Middle-America community, there exists a public high school with a wall that proudly displays the achievements of past graduates, so that I welcomed reading the community’s magazine that boasted the school’s latest successes, cited as “diversity.” But it soon became clear that the diversity refers to the staff’s complexions and sexual dispositions. We search in vain for references to interests served, classes offered, careers sought, talents developed, and ingenuity encouraged, and we realize that another order of business is afoot.

America’s first schools, established in the 17th century in the thirteen original colonies, were designed to educate for literacy and arithmetic, but students under 17 were soon studying Greek, Latin, geometry, ancient history, logic, ethics, and rhetoric. Law and medicine were introduced in the 18th century, followed by mathematics and philosophy. The academies provided a rigorous curriculum that stressed writing, penmanship, arithmetic, and languages, and the children were successful; they and their progeny contributed to the makings of a magnificent republic. Horace Mann established that education should be free, universal, and non-sectarian, to aim for social efficiency, civic virtue, and character.  Graduates were to be disciplined, judicious citizens, continuing the American desire for liberty, inalienable individual rights, and sovereignty.  We were successful like no other but, sadly, we appear to have lost our way.

Diversity in America once meant that one could follow one’s dream by studying and working in any field of endeavor, unhindered by the local or federal government. Beyond the basics defined by parents and state, the student was encouraged to forge ahead in any field, even in apprenticeship, with diligence and determination. Individuality was fortified as the only way one could strive and succeed.
