Dodging Bullets in Dearbornistan
By: Merrill McCarthy
I Would Do My Jihad Over Here.”

We have a troubling story over here in Dearborn Heights, Michigan about a young man who planned to wage violent jihad against a church close to his work in Detroit.
He thought the church would be a good choice because it was a gun-free zone and target-rich with capacity for 6,000 congregants. The would-be-shooter’s plot was not carried out because his father found and confiscated the jihad kit in his car consisting of a gun, ammo and a mask. Thwarted in his initial plan to terrorize the citizens of Michigan and the world, he told an FBI undercover agent about wanting to use a knife or a sword to achieve his “dream of beheading someone”.
For months, twenty-one-year-old Khalil Abu-Rayyan, self-proclaimed Palestinian Muslim, has been peppering social media with violent and hateful speech, threatening jihad. The FBI tuned in and an undercover agent learned of the violence contemplated by this young man who wanted to go “Sahwat” hunting, a term for an Iraqi who opposes ISIL. An arrest was made before he was able to put his plans into action and he is currently in detention.
An audio clip of the arraignment reveals a well-spoken young man with no trace of a foreign accent. He was probably born here or has lived here most of his life. And yet, it appears his allegiance is not with the USA, but with an Islamist terrorist organization based in the Middle East.
Think about the lack of assimilation and what it means. This young man of fighting age could not make it overseas to wage jihad so he settled for doing it here:
He settled for a proxy target; a church having no ties to his enemies in the Middle East.
While we have many unanswered questions, the two that seem to be at the forefront are:
1) Why would someone who has lived in the USA for a lifetime, like the San Bernardino shooter, or this young man take up arms against innocent countrymen who have no ties to ISIL?
2) Why would the parents of an obviously dangerous young man fail to turn him over to the authorities when they had first-hand knowledge of intended criminal acts, much like the blind eyes turned to the bomb factory in San Bernardino?
Maybe there is something about the culture of these enclaved communities that do not resemble the America we know.
Places like Dearborn could be picked up and set down in the Middle East without skipping a beat. The signs on the stores are in Arabic, the food is Arabic and the language is Arabic. The ideology on-the-street is largely Sharia. (51% of US Muslims want the option of living here under Sharia)
A few months ago a man having a business breakfast in Dearborn overheard a quartet of retiree age men at a nearby table discussing world affairs. Since this man speaks Arabic, he understood the whole conversation and it was not pro-American. In fact, one of the men at the table went as far as saying that he wished he had the courage to strap on a suicide vest himself, and that perhaps if he were ever given a terminal cancer diagnosis he might just do it. Incredible! These are suicidal and murderous ideations. If a psychiatrist had heard them he would have been required to notify authorities about the outward threat and then would have to admit the man to a residential treatment hospital for protection because of suicidal thoughts.
And yet, this is coffee shop conversation in an enclaved city where Sharia Law is observed in many ways and Christians are stoned for sharing the gospel on a public sidewalk.
In Dearborn, a father can find a gun, ammo and a mask in his son’s car and think that taking the items away from him will solve the problem, or a family in San Bernardino can overlook a bomb-making operation in their son’s kitchen and a neighbor can decide reporting very suspicious behavior would be riskier that having people possibly injured as a result of that suspicious behavior.
These “lone wolf” attackers, inspired by social media seem to be on the rise. Pretty soon we will run out of enough FBI agents to monitor what is going on. More attacks will not be a surprise. We might as well expect them. We need to have better ways to identify and defuse them. Thanks to the FBI, we have dodged bullets on this one, but maybe the next time we will not be so lucky.
We need more help from the families and the communities of these young jihadi “wannabes” because the signs are always there. It is not enough to take away the weapons when you find them. The authorities must be notified and if not, the culpable families may need to assume civil and criminal responsibility for looking the other way when tragedy could have been prevented.
The community needs to step up as well. These “lone wolf” attackers are always presented as a shock to their neighbors, although that message is changing. In the San Bernardino shooting, as well as this one that was nipped in the bud, the initial public statements have been made by the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Trial, the biggest terrorism financing prosecution in American history. CAIR has been identified as a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood which has been condemned as a terrorist organization by the UK and several Middle Eastern countries.
So far, the message from CAIR on this case is that “we should not rush to judgment,” but actually their early appearance on the scene is a dog whistle to anyone else who may be contacted for a quote to defer to the CAIR spokesperson who will have the official spin – beware of Islamophobia.
CAIR is not interested in the truth. If an imam is radicalizing young men in Dearborn or elsewhere, we will not hear about it from CAIR. What we will hear is CAIR on the offense with claims of Islamophobia if people start asking too many questions or veer off the politically correct pathway. CAIR will not assist in getting to the truth and in the past have urged people to not cooperate with the FBI unless absolutely necessary.
The greater question here is about our flawed immigration policy, especially the Refugee Resettlement program. Why continue to bring people here who do not want to assimilate and are instead bringing the Middle East conflict here to be fought on our soil? The church full of worshippers Abu-Rayyan wanted to shoot-up was not his enemy, just an unfortunate casualty of his misguided ideological world view and the policy of flooding America with people who hate us.
It is correct for us to be concerned about bringing in unvettable Syrians or others who may be terrorists with fake passports. But we must also start finding ways to vet people who we have already brought in to our country. We must understand the ideology that guides their actions and recognize that they may be no more than economic migrants who have no allegiance to the USA at all, or worse, Islamists pursuing a world without non-Muslims.
We must be more realistic about projecting our patriotic values. We cannot assume we all share the same world view. Every day we learn more to prove we don’t.
AIM Editor on Conservative Commandos radio about Media and Muslim Brotherhood

AIM Editor Roger Aronoff appeared on December 17 on the Philadelphia, PA Conservative Commandos radio show to talk about his recent column “Media Continue Attacks on Muslim Brotherhood Critics.”
Aronoff’s article discusses how Frank Gaffney, a strong national security advocate warning about the dangers of shariah law and the Muslim Brotherhood, was attacked during a recent CNN appearance for allegedly promoting “McCarthyite” politics, and also belittled by The Washington Post’s Dana Milbank.
Aronoff said that Gaffney, who heads the Center for Security Policy, is “someone who I have great admiration for.”
“I think he’s been a powerful force in this country for good, and for peace through strength,” said Aronoff.
Gaffney has been a leading critic of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has been clearly identified as a Hamas or Muslim Brotherhood front organization posing as a civil rights organization, noted Aronoff.
CNN host Don Lemon misled his viewers by falsely claiming during his segment with Gaffney that “There is no direct knowledge that we had that CAIR has anything to do with the Muslim brotherhood.”
“The FBI used to have a relationship with CAIR, and after the Holy Foundation trial a decade or so back, they cut off ties with them because it became quite clear that they are a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood,” said Aronoff. “And these are sensitive topics, but our survival is at stake.”
“So the real question—and this should be a discussion—Should we be concerned about the Muslim Brotherhood, or should we just think of them as sort of the Elks Lodge of Muslims?” asked Aronoff on the show.
“Let’s go ahead and make the disclaimer right now,” said Aronoff, continuing, “we’re not saying all Muslims are terrorists, but I guess we’re saying that all jihadists are Muslims, and that jihadists, whether they are the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood types or the Iranian Shiite, they are of great concern.”
Aronoff argued that Obama really has gotten a “free pass” on having advisors who are connected to the Brotherhood. “I think it’s something that should be asked of every candidate: what they know about them, and what they think about them.”
Asked why the mainstream media refuse to cover the truth, Aronoff said that the mainstream media are still largely in bed with the Democrats, and “always looking to protect them, cover for them.” The mainstream media remain corrupt and biased so that its members continue to ask tough “gotcha” questions of Republican presidential candidates, like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, whilerefusing to give Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton the same treatment, noted Aronoff.
Media Continue Attacks on Muslim Brotherhood Critics
By: Roger Aronoff
Accuracy in Media
The mainstream media never tire of attacking those who warn that the Muslim Brotherhood has established deep ties to the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton. That might just be because the media have forged their own intimate ties to the Muslim Brotherhood group, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Preeminent figures who dare to contradict the narrative of the liberal media, arguing that the greater concern is terrorism or shariah law, not Islamophobia, are regularly cast as conspiracy theorists, and worse, outright racists.
The head of the Center for Security Policy (CSP), Frank Gaffney, has been repeatedly attacked by the media for his message that Americans cannot be forced to yield to shariah. On December 8th he said on CNN that CAIR has “been established in court to be a Muslim Brotherhood front organization” that associates with the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas.
“The fact that nobody, including your guest recognizes that reality and suggests it’s a conspiracy theory or something to sort of try to obscure it is a scandal,” he told CNN’s Don Lemon. The other guest, Michael Weiss, a senior editor at The Daily Beast, declared that Gaffney’s words were “deranged hysteria masquerading as national security policy,” and likened his rhetoric to McCarthyism.
Each and every presidential candidate should be asked their opinion of the Muslim Brotherhood and its influence on the American government, we urgedback in September. “Should the Muslim Brotherhood be viewed as some benign, moderate organization?” we asked, “Or instead as the organization that spawned Al Qaeda and other significant terrorist organizations?”
“The Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) has provided a detailed analysis of several members of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) who are official advisors to the White House or various agencies within the Executive branch,” we reported. “The question…is whether or not we should care about the influence of the MB on this and other administrations.”
CNN’s Don Lemon falsely maintained that there wasn’t a connection between CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood. Instead, he broadcast a statement by CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad.
“Shortly after CAIR’s founding in 1994, Nihad Awad, CAIR’s executive director, was videotaped publicly declaring support for Hamas,” wrote Kyle Shideler for Townhall.
Shideler, the Director of the Threat Information Office (TIO) at Gaffney’s Center for Security Policy, argues that this was a “televised ambush” of Gaffney. You can watch the complete segment at the Breitbart website and decide for yourself.
As Citizens’ Commission on Benghazi (CCB) member and head of the IPT, Steven Emerson, recently pointed out, “CAIR’s connections are not really matters of interpretation” because the FBI has “internal documents” demonstrating its strong ties to terror.
“The FBI read those documents and promptly cut off communication with CAIR ‘until we can resolve whether there continues to be a connection between CAIR or its executives and HAMAS, the FBI does not view CAIR as an appropriate liaison partner,’” writes Emerson. Yet, he observes, The New York Times continues to peddle CAIR’s “garbage.”
The Washington Post also peddles its own garbage about the threat of Islamophobia. Dana Milbank’s December 15 column in The Washington Post focused in part on how “Respectable conservatives long ago abandoned Gaffney, but Trump Made Gaffney Safe Again.” Watch out, conservatives, a “far-right provocateur” such as Gaffney may be influencing the presidential campaigns of Republicans Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Rick Santorum and Ted Cruz.
“The killers who plotted and executed the massacre in San Bernardino are no different than Islamic supremacists the world over,” writes Gaffney for the CSP on December 14. “For them, terror is one of the tools used to advance an agenda aimed at imposing worldwide the repressive politico-legal-military code they call shariah and establishing a global Caliphate,” he continues. “Other techniques employed by the granddaddy of all modern jihadist groups, the Muslim Brotherhood, involve more stealthy efforts to penetrate and subvert from within our civil society and governing institutions.”
As we have repeatedly noted, Mr. Milbank is the type of columnist who has built his career upon identifying conservatives that he believes he can belittle at a distance. He emphasizes others’ missteps or alleged hyperbole and conspiracy theories while ignoring his own biases. He makes no effort to challenge Gaffney’s claims about the Muslim Brotherhood, but instead relies on snarky, personal attacks. This plays into the mainstream media’s overall playbook, where the so-called mistakes made by conservative figures are unforgiveable and unforgettable. In Milbank’s world, President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and other liberals, of course, rarely err, but when they do, it is not a reflection on their character.
Neither, apparently, does Milbank err; he links to one of his prior columns that Accuracy in Media has thoroughly debunked.
“In other actions, this friend of GOP presidential candidates [Gaffney] has made allegations about Clinton aide Huma Abedin’s ‘deep personal’ ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and said Abedin (also a Trump target) may have advocated for laws against ‘sharia blasphemy,’” asserts Milbank, linking to his assessment of an “ugly” Heritage Foundation panel on Benghazi.
As we reported last year, Muslim advocate Saba Ahmed attended the Heritage Benghazi panel, after which Milbank accused the panelists of “ugly taunting” following Ahmed’s question. We later exposed Ahmed’s, and Milbank’s, false victimization story.
Mr. Milbank’s article also failed to note at the time that Ahmed ran her own lobbying firm, was a Democratic Party activist, and was close to the Portland, Oregon convicted Christmas tree bomber. Instead, Milbank described her as an American University student, which was also true. More recently she has re-invented herself as the head of something called the Republican Muslim Coalition, which appears to be little more than a website void of any substance. Yet she has made it onto the Fox News Channel’s “Kelly Files” with Megyn Kelly on at least two recent occasions.
Despite the continued misreporting, members of the CCB continue to sound the alarm about the Muslim Brotherhood’s inordinate influence under the leadership of President Obama.
“The Obama administration has already demonstrated its proclivity to side with the wrong party—al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood—in Libya and Egypt,”write CCB Members Pete Hoekstra and Clare Lopez. “We should not allow ourselves to become drawn into such mistakes again, especially when the ability of the West, Russia and Iran to fully destroy ISIS—or its jihadist ideology—is not entirely clear right now.” Hoekstra is the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
Both CCB members Retired Admiral James “Ace” Lyons and Clare Lopez are with Gaffney’s CSP while simultaneously serving on the Commission. You can watch Admiral Lyons address the issue of the Muslim Brotherhood, after being introduced by Gaffney, at a CSP event. This video has been viewed more than 400,000 times.
Far from a conspiracy theory, the influence of CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood upon this and future administrations must be confronted head on, whether members of the mainstream media choose to look the other way, or peddle CAIR’s lies.
Listen Live – Another Lawfare Loss for CAIR “Muslim-Free Zone” Declaration Can Not Be Suppressed
Robert Muise, Co-Founder & Senior Counsel of the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC), will be interviewed by John McCulloch on Tuesday December 1st at 6 PM EASTERN
regarding another Lawfare loss by the Council on American Islam Relations (CAIR). This time a Federal Court granted the AFLC’s Motion to Dismiss CAIR’s law suit against a Florida gun shop’s declaration of its premises as a “Muslim Free Zone”.
“This dismissal was yet another AFLC victory against CAIR and its jihadi lawfare against patriotic Americans across the country. This victory follows on the heels of a recent victory against CAIR in a Michigan federal court where CAIR’s subpoenas were quashed and CAIR’s nefarious client sanctioned for abusive practices. CAIR was born from a jihadi terrorist conspiracy, and it has done little to distance itself from those bona fides. CAIR is on notice: if you attempt to use the courts to conduct your civilizational jihad, AFLC will be there to defend law-abiding, patriotic Americans and our nation’s national security. We will match and defeat your civilization jihad with our constitutional lawfare in every courtroom across the nation.”

Politico Exonerates, Blames Snowden for Paris
By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media
Some of our media, including the publication Politico, seem totally confused about the role of NSA defector Edward Snowden in the crimes of the terrorists who murdered and maimed hundreds of people in the Paris attacks. The verdict is in: he has bloody hands.
In a November 16 story, “Blaming Snowden for Paris,” David Perera of Politico insisted that no evidence had surfaced that the “revelations” of NSA defector Edward Snowden had “made a difference” in the case of the Paris terrorist attacks, and there was no evidence the perpetrators had “used encrypted communications to conceal their activities.”
Once again, the publication had gotten ahead of the facts in this story, prejudging the case in order to get Snowden off the hook for facilitating the activities of the Islamic State, or ISIS.
Politico is the same publication that alleged that GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson had admitted fabricating an offer of a West Point scholarship, only to reverse course and drop the claim in a rewritten version of the same story.
Only 24 hours later, after exonerating Snowden, the publication again reversed itself, running an interview with Michael Morell, the former acting head of the CIA, who said the Snowden revelations not only helped the Islamic State but probably contributed to the Paris attacks.
Morell stated, “First, ISIS went to school on how we were collecting intelligence on terrorist organizations by using telecommunications technologies. And when they learned that from the Snowden disclosures, they were able to adapt to it and essentially go silent…And so, part of their rise was understanding what our capabilities were, adjusting to them so we couldn’t see them. No doubt in my mind. And the people who say otherwise are just trying to defend Edward Snowden.”
As embarrassing as this was, the original Politico story had referred to “journalist Glenn Greenwald” as “a Snowden ally” who was arguing “that U.S. officials had complained of difficulty tracking terrorist communications long before the NSA whistleblower emerged.”
It’s true that the terrorists had been evading the NSA before Snowden went to Russia, but that was beside the point. What Morell and others were pointing out is that Snowden had made it easier for the terrorists to plot to kill Europeans and Americans.
Rather than being a “journalist,” Greenwald is a political extremist who speaks before Islamist, Marxist and libertarian groups. He has, for example, been afeatured speaker at conferences sponsored by the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Cato Institute and the International Socialist Organization. At one of these conferences he declared that al Qaeda’s 9/11 terrorist attacks on America were “very minimal in scope compared to the level of deaths that the United States has been bringing to the world for decades—from Vietnam to illegal wars in Central America…”
He is more than a “Snowden ally.” He is a mouthpiece for Snowden’s illegal disclosures and an accomplice in his alleged espionage activities.
A former gay pornography executive, Greenwald was the recipient of the first annual I.F. Stone Award, named in honor of the left-wing journalist identified as an agent of influence for Soviet intelligence. At the awards ceremony, Greenwald said that Soviet agent Stone “pioneered what modern journalism ought to be.”
Snowden is supposedly a “whistleblower,” but that is a false designation considering that he illegally leaked classified information and fled to Russia rather than face up to the authorities and take his punishment. He is specifically charged with espionage.
Despite the claim about encrypted communications not playing a role in the attacks, Politico had itself reported on November 16 in a separate article that “Terrorists linked to the so-called Islamic State are employing encrypted Internet services—including a new generation of mobile messaging apps—that the authorities do not have the technological capability to break, according to intelligence sources, public comments by senior officials, and evidence disclosed in recent criminal trials.”
By November 18, Cory Bennett of The Hill newspaper had identified and cited a 34-page ISIS manual on how to conceal communications from the NSA and other intelligence agencies. Bennett noted that the Arabic document was translated and released by analysts at the Combating Terrorism Center, an independent research group at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
“It includes warnings to avoid Instagram because it is owned by Facebook, and Dropbox because former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice sits on its board of investors. Famous government leaker Edward Snowden has also criticized Dropbox over its privacy, the document notes,” added Bennett.
In other words, the Islamic State is taking Snowden’s advice and openly citing the NSA defector’s expertise on planning terrorism against the West. The reference to Snowden is clear in the translation.
This means that no honest journalist can claim that Snowden’s activities have not helped the terrorists who want to kill us.
Bennett wrote a separate story noting evidence first developed by NBC News that ISIS had set up a 24-hour “help desk” to advise terrorists about encrypting their communications in order to evade authorities.
In the NBC News story, Josh Meyer quoted counterterrorism analysts affiliated with the U.S. Army as saying that the ISIS help desk is “manned by a half-dozen senior operatives around the clock” for the specific purpose of “helping would-be jihadists use encryption and other secure communications in order to evade detection by law enforcement and intelligence authorities.”
Now that it has been definitively proven that Snowden’s disclosures have aided ISIS in planning acts of terror, it is time for the media to start examining the Snowden network that AIM has been exposing for several years now. All of his apologists, including such figures as Fox News contributor Andrew Napolitano, should apologize to the world for rushing to the defense of this despicable character, who now clearly has blood on his hands.
It was Napolitano who had declared, “I would describe this man [Snowden] an American hero, as a person willing to risk life, limb and liberty in order to expose to the American people one of the most extraordinary violations of the American principles, value judgments and the Constitution itself in all of our history.”
The evil genius of Snowden’s collaborators was to frame his defection in terms of alleging that he was a “whistleblower.”
He didn’t risk his life or limb but has given up his liberty in return for KGB protection in Moscow.
Citizens of France and possibly the United States, however, will be giving up their lives and limbs so that Snowden can be honored as a hero by Napolitano and his ilk.
The Curious Case of Ahmed’s Clock Part II
By: Brent Parrish
The Right Planet

Ahmed Mohamed (second from left) and Alia Salem (right), Executive Director of CAIR-Texas Dallas Fort Worth.
The brouhaha over Ahmed Mohamed’s “clock” just keeps getting “curiouser and curiouser.”
In case you haven’t heard, Ahmed Mohamed, a 14-year-old Muslim high school student from Irving, Texas, has been hailed by many in the main-stream media recently as an “ingenious tinkerer” who was allegedly “unfairly” targeted because of his religious affiliation after bringing a digital clock “invention” that looked an awful lot like an improvised explosive device (IED) enclosed in a case resembling a small briefcase.
Mohamed claims he simply wanted to bring his “invention” to school to show his teacher. The MacArthur High School teacher he originally approached with his improvised device told Ahmed that it looked a lot like a “bomb.” The teacher advised the young student not to show the contraption to any of the other teachers, lest they mistake the device for a bomb, too.
Via Top Right News:
But Ahmed then brought it into his English class, plugged it in, set an alarm to go off, and did not mention to the teacher who felt “threatened” by it that he already showed it to the engineering teacher, and to ask him about it … which could have easily resolved the security concerns.

Ahmed Mohamed’s digital clock “invention.”
Ahmed was detained and the police were called, until it could be determined what sort of device Mohamed had brought to school. Reportedly, Ahmed exhibited some strange behavior during police questioning.
The Dallas-Forth Worth-based WFAA News reported (via Breitbart.com):
Officers said Ahmed was being “passive aggressive” in his answers to their questions, and didn’t have a “reasonable answer” as to what he was doing with the case. Investigators said the student told them that it was just a clock that he was messing around with. “We attempted to question the juvenile about what it was and he would simply only say it was a clock. He didn’t offer any explanation as to what it was for, why he created this device, why he brought it to school,” said James McLellan, Irving Police.
The WFAA report contradicts comments made by Ahmed Mohamed to the national media following his detention by local police. Mohamed claims he just wanted to show his “invention” to his teacher. If that is the case, why did he not reveal this claim to the police during initial questioning?
Despite it all, the ninth grader has been receiving accolades and gifts.
Via BizPac Review:
After his release, Mohamed became an immediate darling of the left, and received numerous internship and job offers, an invitation to visit the White House, and an Islamic prayer vigil that was held for him at his school.
A few electronic gurus and experts have been taking a closer look at Ahmed’s “invention.” Some of their conclusions regarding Mohamed’s clock are very revealing, and shed a lot of light on what Ahmed Mohamed allegedly “invented.”
Via Thomas Talbot:
This video shows that the supposed clock invention by a 14 year old is in fact not an invention. The ‘clock’ is a commercial bedside alarm clock removed from its casing. There is nothing to indicate that the clock was even assembled by the child. I suspect this was brought into school to create an alarmed reaction.
Another individual (aka “Anthony”), who claims to have an engineering degree, did his own research in an attempt to reverse-engineer Ahmed’s digital clock “invention.” Like Talbot, Anthony claims Ahmed’s clock is nothing more than the internal electronic components of a digital clock removed from its casing and stuffed into a pencil case.
Much of Anthony’s findings corroborate with Thomas Talbot’s analysis. But he goes further by stating he believes he has located the actual model and type of digital clock Ahmed used to build his “invention,” even going so far as to offer the type of pencil case observed in the official police images of Ahmed Mohamed’s “clock.”

“Anthony” writes:
For starters, one glance at the printed circuit board in the photo, and I knew we were looking at mid-to-late 1970s vintage electronics. Surely you’ve seen a modern circuit board, with metallic traces leading all over to the various components like an electronic spider’s web. You’ll notice right away the highly accurate spacing, straightness of the lines, consistency of the patterns. That’s because we design things on computers nowadays, and computers assist in routing these lines. Take a look at the board in Ahmed’s clock. It almost looks hand-drawn, right? That’s because it probably was. Computer aided design was in its infancy in the 70s. This is how simple, low cost items (like an alarm clock) were designed.[…] There’s also silk screening on the board. An “M” logo, “C-94” (probably, a part number – C might even stand for “clock”), and what looks like an American flag. More about that in a minute. Point for now being, a hobbyist wouldn’t silk screen logos and part numbers on their home made creation. It’s pretty safe to say already we’re looking at ’70s tech, mass produced in a factory.
So I turned to eBay, searching for vintage alarm clocks. It only took a minute to locate Ahmed’s clock. See this eBay listing, up at the time of this writing. Amhed’s clock was invented, and built, by Micronta, a Radio Shack subsidary. Catalog number 63 756.
If Thomas Talbot and “Anthony” are correct—and they do provide a convincing and dispassionate assessment—then what exactly did Ahmed Mohamed even invent? And why would he take an alarm clock and just put it in a pencil case? There is nothing at all impressive about that—besides not electrocuting himself while doing it. Removing the innards of a digital clock and stuffing it in an alleged pencil case does not require any considerable talent or skills.
And let’s not ignore the obvious: Why would you put a clock in a pencil case? Is that a particularly novel or useful “invention”? Furthermore, why did he decide to bring it to school?
There is another rather curious aspect concerning the Muslim “whiz kid” from Texas. Ahmed Mohmed is the son of Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, a Sudanese immigrant who is no stranger to making the headlines over the years.
TheConservativeTreehouse.com reports:
… Aside from his presidential bids, [Mohamed Elhassan] Mohamed also made headlines for his bizarre role in Rev. Terry Jones’ incendiary Quran trial. In 2012, when the Florida pastor made good on his threat to burn a Quran in his Gainesville church and put the Quran on “trial,” Mohamed, who refers to himself as a sheik, was apparently the one Muslim willing to play along as the defense in the mock trial. “[The church] put an ad on their channel: ‘Whoever feels in himself he has the power to defend Quran is welcome,’” he told the Dallas Observer. (read more)
Interestingly, Islamic scholar and author Robert Spencer debated Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed back in 2011:
Via Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch:
Here is video of my May 2011 debate with Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, the father of Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old boy who was arrested for bringing a clock that looked like a bomb to school, in an instance of zero-tolerance overreaction or “Islamophobia,” depending on your point of view.
Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed and I debated on the topic, “Does Islam Respect Human Rights?” The results were so bad for him that after the debate, The American Muslim pleaded with Muslims not to debate me. In any case, this debate is one indication that Mohamed Elhassan has been trying for several years to make his bones as a warrior against “Islamophobia.”
The debate starts at 31:48, after an interview with Walid Phares.
Recently, the ninth grader appeared on MSNBC with Chris Hayes. Ahmed did not appear with his mother or father, or even a lawyer, but instead was accompanied by a representative from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization declared an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2008 terror-finance trial against the Holy Land Foundation and its former officials. CAIR was also designated a “terrorist organization” by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2014.
Once again, as far as the media narrative goes, it appears we are dealing with another “the facts don’t matter“ scenario—only the politically correct narrative: “if you see something, say something” … that is, unless you see a Muslim doing something suspicious … then you just best keep your damn mouth shut, you Islamophobic RAAAAACIST!

Obama’s Muslim Identity
By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media
An ordinary citizen who identified President Barack Obama as a Muslim at a Donald Trump town hall meeting in New Hampshire showed that media brainwashing on the subject has been futile. The people understand that Obama asserts he is a Christian, but they just aren’t buying it. Obama has done too many things to benefit Muslims to convince people that he is not one of them.
The latest example was extending an invitation to a Muslim student to come to the White House after he was detained for possessing what appeared to be a bomb. It turned out to be a clock that looked like a bomb.
Naturally, the Obama White House treated this as a case of so-called Islamophobia, when pictures of the device demonstrated that care should have been taken and law enforcement should have been called. Obama refuses to identify Islamic terrorism as Islamic terrorism, but is quick to jump to conclusions about the supposedly anti-Islamic character of the American people. This is the mark of someone who is either strongly sympathetic to Islam, or a Muslim himself.
Robert Spencer has written an excellent article about Ahmed Mohamed’s suspicious-looking device and uncooperative behavior.
Our media are denouncing Trump for failing to “correct” the citizen who identified Obama as a Muslim. They flatly assert Obama is a Christian. The issue here is not Trump but Obama.
We have corrected the record many times on this, but it seems that another explanation is warranted. Politicians can say anything about themselves, but it is up to the media to determine if those claims are true.
If Obama and his aides had a habit of telling the truth, the claim about Obama being a Christian might be assumed to be true. But as we have noted in the past, “Unfortunately for Obama and his backers, the same Obama campaign apparatus which claimed that he is a baptized Christian asserted that the mysterious ‘Frank’ in Obama’s book, Dreams from My Father, was just a black civil rights activist. It turned out that ‘Frank’ was Frank Marshall Davis, a Communist Party member under surveillance by the FBI who served as a mentor for a young Obama in Hawaii.”
So what reason is there to believe that Obama is a Christian just because he says so? He doesn’t act or talk like a Christian, and he doesn’t go to church very often. Instead, he acts and talks like a Muslim. Obama acknowledges in Dreams from My Father that his grandfather was a Muslim (page 104) and that he spent two years in a Muslim school in Indonesia studying the Koran (page 154).
There is no evidence Obama was baptized, in any formal sense, in Jeremiah Wright’s church. What’s more, there is no evidence that Obama ever specifically rejected Islam. Indeed, Obama could have joined Wright’s church in Chicago without disavowing the Muslim faith. Author Edward Klein notes that Wright told him that he “made it comfortable” for Obama to accept Christianity “without having to renounce his Islamic background.”
As we noted in a review of Klein’s book, Wright was asked if he converted Obama from Islam to Christianity, and Wright said, “That’s hard to tell. I think I convinced him that it was okay for him to make a choice in terms of who he believed Jesus is. And I told him it was really okay and not a putdown of the Muslim part of his family or his Muslim friends.”
Obama’s failure to attend church led us to label him “The Politician Without a Church.” We noted that “…if Obama claims to be a Christian, and the evidence suggests otherwise, it is a significant story. That’s because his alleged Christianity was a factor in his 2008 and 2012 victories.”
This is why it’s significant that the American people still aren’t buying the notion of Obama’s alleged Christianity. People have recognized a truth about Obama that the Obama campaign, White House, and the media have tried their best to conceal.
“Trump doesn’t challenge anti-Muslim questioner at event” is how CNN framed the controversy over the Trump event in New Hampshire. The questioner asserted that Obama is a Muslim and that Muslims want to kill Americans. Is that anti-Muslim?
The British Guardian ran the headline, “Donald Trump fails to correct questioner who calls Obama Muslim.”
CBS News ran the story, “Trump declines to correct man who says Obama is Muslim.”
If Obama had demonstrated his Christianity through actions and statements, and if there was indisputable evidence that he was baptized a Christian and rejected Islam, the media might have a point.
In this case, they do not. The behavior of the media is far more objectionable than a simple observation, based on the facts as he perceived them, from an American citizen about the American President.
The record is clear: Obama has lied about his Marxist and Muslim backgrounds. The American people have every right to be suspicious of him.
Iran Deal: Be sure of this much – With Obama’s help, Evil is Winning
By: William Palumbo
The American Report
What began in 2012 with secret negotiations between Valerie Jarrett and Iran has now borne its toxic, likely nuclear, fruit. It is now all but certain, excepting an unlikely Congressional intervention, that the Obama administration will officially legitimize the world’s most prolific sponsor of Islamic terror. This follows on the heels of a surprise announcement that Obama would normalize relations with Cuba.
From Tehran to Havana, evil is winning, and Obama is leading the way.
Let’s recall a few things about the Iranian and Cuban deals, and their negotiators:
Obama’s Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett was born in Shiraz, Iran in 1956. A personal friend of Barack and Michelle since she introduced the couple, Jarrett is widely assumed to be the most powerful person in the White House. The subject of an FBI investigation, Jarrett’s family is connected with old guard Chicago Communists, including Obama’s political mentor, Frank Marshall Davis.
If that weren’t enough to make you question this “deal,” Secretary of State John Kerry’s daughter is married to an Iranian man with family in Iran. Conflict of interest, anyone?
Barack Obama is the president who backed the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood into power during the Arab Spring. After issuing Presidential Study Directive Eleven (PSD-11), Obama allied the U.S.A. with terrorists in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, and is still backing anti-Assad terrorists in Syria. His administration, through the DOJ, has purged all mention of “Islam” and “Muslims” from counter-terrorism. With Obama’s approval, the Department of Homeland Security and the Internal Revenue Service have been weaponized against conservatives and Republicans. Yes, that means Obama views American citizens, not Islamic terrorists, as the most dangerous threat to national security.
Likewise, domestic counter-terrorism efforts have been hampered against Muslim Brotherhood front Islamic organizations, such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), who are now regarded as friends and invited to the White House. Finally, Obama has crippled the U.S. military and intelligence agencies, and left the southern border completely open to whatever murderer, rapist, or terrorist wants to walk in.
Iran, for its part, has been the preeminent sponsor of Islamic terrorism since 1979. Its current leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, personally translated into Farsi the works of Sayyid Qutb, the Muslim Brother who developed the ideology of modern Islamic terror. Iran funds both Hezbollah and Hamas. Iran has a friendly relationship with the terrorist regime of Omar Bashir in the Sudan, where there is ongoing Christian genocide.
Through Hezbollah, they operate narcotics and terrorist networks around the world, including in Latin America. Hezbollah is remarkably powerful in Venezuela and Mexico, and was behind the 1994 bombing in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which targeted Argentine Jews.
Cuba, an Iranian ally, is home to another other rogue anti-American regime that welcomes Hezbollah terrorists. Bill Ayers, the domestic terrorist who launched Obama’s political career, helped organize trips to Cuba for the Students for a Democratic Society with the infamous Venceremos Brigade.
Not only have the Ayatollahs and Castro brothers been rewarded for their treachery, they are being rewarded handsomely: Cuba will now have full diplomatic relations with the United States, and Iran is expected to receive $100 billion in previously frozen funds.
Do you now start to get a picture of what Obama and the U.S. State Department have accomplished?
2016: A Vote for Republicans, or more Terrorists
In a rare show of wise solidarity, GOP Presidential candidates have denounced the disastrous Iranian deal. Indeed, to listen to Republicans today is almost like listening to former Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren, who has publicly blamed Obama for ruining the close relationship between the United States and Israel.
Hillary, who will almost assuredly be the Democratic nominee, is supportive of the deal. Unsurprising, as Clinton was a fellow architect of the Arab Spring, and her personal aide Huma Abedin is tied to the Muslim Brotherhood through her immediate family.
For Americans at all concerned with the future of their country, it should be very clear that the Democrat Party stands with terrorists. Choose wisely in 2016.
#WeWillShootBack: ThinkProgress glorifies black militant violence

- Author Trevor Loudon predicts that Communist-driven violence is ‘imminent’
- New violent hashtag #WeWillShootBack glorified by Soros-funded ThinkProgress
- ThinkProgress announces “black-only” weapons training
- The Nation of Islam planning an October 10 rally in D.C. menacingly titled “Justice….or else!”
Trevor Loudon, expert on socialist and radical movements from New Zealand, predicts that the same rabid pro-communist organizations that incited both the Ferguson and Baltimore riots are applying the pressure for a “black spring” which will further terrorize America in the coming months.
Loudon pointed to an “article” titled “‘We Will Shoot Back’: Meet The Black Activists Who Aren’t Ready To Forgive” published at the Soros-funded “news” outlet ThinkProgress on Saturday glorifying violent hashtag #WeWillShootBack.
The entirely irresponsible violence-inciting article from ThinkProgress confirms that the violent rhetoric is being ramped-up by groups such as the Nation of Islam, who are planning a rally menacingly titled “Justice….or else!” to be held on October 10, 2015 in Washington, D.C.
Some of the comments on a Facebook video featuring Minister Louis Farrakhan illustrate the intense emotions that Farrakhan inspires. One man was rewarded with 220 “likes” for declaring, “…this is the first time a Black leader is openly threatening the government to give us justice or else we’ll ‘clap back’. October 10, 2015 will not be for punks.” Another writes, “I was born for a moment like this…. We are all going to die anyway but if we must die…it must be for something….. THINK ABOUT IT…….” Still another declares passionately, “This time it is a ‘do or die’ situation. If you are not ready to die for justice for our people then stay home!!!!!!”
ThinkProgress also notes that Taurean “Sankofa” Brown, “a self-described revolutionary and proponent of militant self-defense” started the hashtag #WeWillShootBack and wants those who advocate for peace to remember that “black people have always had to take arms up against those who used violence to intimidate them and limit their progress in the United States.” Brown continued,
The point of this movement is to educate and let black people know that we too have the right to protect our families and communities by any means necessary.
The ThinkProgress article, written by Sam P.K. Collins, went on to state that “black trained firearms instructors” will be teaching “[B]lack people across the country” about “gun laws in their state and attend community trainings where instructors will show them how to use and clean their weapons as part of National Gun Registry Day, tentatively scheduled for early August.”
“There is no doubt that pro-communist organizations want to break down civil society in America,” the author of his latest book, “The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the U.S. Congress” told Broadside News.
Back in January, Loudon wrote about Ferguson organizers joining with anti-Israel radicals in the Palestinian Authority and predicted:
Communists and their Islamic allies are looking to build on 2014’s Ferguson riots, to create major havoc in America this year.
In a must-read article published in January, Loudon explains that in addition to gathering in the Palestinian Authority, radical activists around the globe attended a conference in Moscow in part to address the “…ongoing uprising against racism and police brutality in the United States…”
Organizations such as CAIR, the Nation of Islam, the New Black Panther Party (NBPP), the Revolutionary Communist Party, Communist Party USA, the Progressive Labor Party and the Worker’s World Party have been actively inciting race hatred in order to spark riots across the country.
“They want to destabilize America,” Loudon continued.
“A polarized society sets up the conditions that radical elements need to convince citizens that all-powerful government is society’s only hope.”
As rabid anti-capitalists, pro-communist groups seek to control society by fundamentally dismantling America, ultimately spreading communism across the globe.
The ThinkProgress article also featured New Black Panther Party leader Hashim Nzinga, who previously hijacked a Ferguson press conference, as reported at Broadside News.
At the time, Nzinga ranted that President Obama is from Kenya, calling him a “Mau Mau” and further declared:
The Black male is being exterminated…The ones who are not being exterminated, they’re pushing them to be gay and fags so they won’t be productive on reproducing babies. This is about genocide.
The Soros-funded “news” outlet ThinkProgress laughingly claims to be “non-partisan;” but based on their promotion of radical black militants, this author recommends that the outlet update their “about” section to indicate that they are nothing more than a mouth-piece for the radical left.
