Hillary Clinton endorsed by New York Times & Communist Party USA

  • Hillary Clinton “…repair[ed] relations around the world that had been completely trashed by the previous administration.” (NYT)
  • Hillary Clinton “…will build on the achievements of Obama’s presidency.” (CPUSA)
  • Hillary Clinton “…led the fight in ensuring that poor women get federal funds to pay for their abortions.” (NYT)
  • Hillary Clinton will “defend the integrity of democratic structures, governance, and traditions [big government].” (CPUSA)

The very first sentence of the New York Times editorial endorsing Hillary Clinton trashes Republican presidential candidates as being the purveyors of “empty propaganda slogans.” While in comparison, Democratic primary voters who seek a “substantive debate over real issues,” the authors gush, “have the chance to nominate one of the most broadly and deeply qualified presidential candidates in modern history.”

As the ideological lines become increasingly blurred, perhaps an endorsement from Communist Party USA (CPUSA) is a positive step in the right direction for the progressively-indoctrinated youth vote. And clearly, the watchdogs are turning a blind eye.

Sam Webb, former national chairperson for CPUSA who currently serves as CPUSA’s public spokesperson says that although Hillary Clinton is not Bernie Sanders, she “will build on the achievements of Obama’s presidency. In other words, her White House will press for economic, social, and political reforms on a range of issues, including existentially necessary action on climate change.”

Webb, not the sharpest tool, warns ominously:

If the Republicans win the presidency, that firewall against far-right extremism that the Obama administration represented will disappear and the barbarians will be no longer at the gate, but likely in charge of the whole castle.

The NYT astonishingly praises Hillary Clinton’s efforts as Secretary of State, claiming that along with Obama and their shared vision, Clinton “allowed the United States to repair relations around the world that had been completely trashed by the previous administration.”

Hillary Clinton, according to the Old Grey Lady (who is most certainly not a lady) deals with the most “substantive” of issues like her support of gun control, regulating the “business establishment” and “the wage gap for women, especially for women of color.” Clinton also led the fight in ensuring that poor women get federal funds to pay for their abortions.

For his part, Sam Webb of CPUSA continues to say that Hillary,

“will fight for the full range of democratic rights – collective bargaining rights, wage rights, job rights, women’s rights, civil rights, gay rights, voting rights, immigrant rights, and, not least, health rights – as well as defend the integrity of democratic structures, governance, and traditions [code for big government].’

As an aside, the NYT also condescendingly trashes Republican candidates for having experience outside of Washington. One can almost feel the sneer:

“…it would be comical to watch any of the Republican candidates try to make that case [regulations for Wall Street and banks], given that they are all virtually tied to, or actually part of, the business establishment.”

On Clinton’s use of the military, the New York Times explains:

“…we have no doubt that Mrs. Clinton would use American military power effectively and with infinitely more care and wisdom than any of the leading Republican contenders.”

Webb laments that if a Republican wins the White House, he or she will “ramp up militarism, [engage in] climate change obstructionism, and the wholesale shrinkage of the public sector.”

Webb continues:

To make matters worse, this concentration of state power in the hands of the extreme right at the federal level is matched and augmented by its control of thirty state governments, ubiquitous voice in the major media, network of well-funded think tanks, pastors in the pulpits, energetic grassroots constituency, and nearly bottomless war chest – thanks to the Koch brothers and other right wing billionaires.

Which brings me back to the slogan ‘Bernie or Bust.’ If too many interpret it to mean Bernie or no one, least of all Hillary, it becomes an action (or inaction) that could well cede the country to right wing extremists.

Explain to this author what the difference is between the Democrats, the socialists and the Communists again?

Neither of the articles mentioned the Constitution.

Chris Michalakis is a Detroit, Michigan labor leader and socialist activist.

He is the former president of the Metro-Detroit AFL-CIO Central Labor Council. Prior to that position, he served as the Metro-Detroit AFL-CIO secretary-treasurer and worked for the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 876, as their state-wide Legislative and Political Director. He serves on the board of Progress Michigan and the advisory board for the Restaurant Opportunity Center of Michigan. He is also active in the Michigan Alliance for Immigrant Rights and the Trade Union Leadership Council.

Michalakis is the youngest serving CLC president of a major metropolitan area and the first foreign-born CLC president. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and a student at Wayne State University. Chris also serves on the Steering Committee for the D4 Collaborative (Doing Development Differently in Detroit) – including serving on the Food Policy Task Force. In January 2011, he was named a “Michigan Influencer” by Campaigns & Elections Magazine.

In 2011, Michalakis was heavily involved in Occupy Detroit.

Michalakis is involved with two of Michigan’s most influential Marxist groups – Democratic Socialists of America and the Communist Party USA.

In November 2013, Michalakis co-chaired Greater Detroit Democratic Socialists of America‘s thirteenth annual Frederick Douglass-Eugene V. Debs Dinner at UAW Local 600 in Dearborn.

In 2013, Michalakis also keynoted the Missouri Communist Party’s annual Hershel Walker ‘Peace & Justice’ Awards Breakfast,

Michalakis attacked the influence of money in politics, especially in the Republican Party and highlighted the role of its far-right corporate funders in forcing ‘Right-to-Work’ onto Michigan workers.

“For years, the DeVos family, the Koch brothers, the Waltons – here in Missouri you have a guy by the name of Rex Sinquefield – have been putting in obscene amounts of money to create organizations like the Tea Party, Americans For Prosperity, the Republican Governors Association, etc.”

“And they have been funding all of these organizations not out of the kindness of their hearts,” Michalakis said, “but because they expect a return on their investment.”

“The Missouri legislature is currently debating so-called ‘Right-to-Work’ legislation, paycheck deception and attacks on prevailing wage laws. Fortunately, Missouri Governor, Jay Nixon, has vowed to veto these and other anti-worker bills if they make it to his desk.”

Michalakis summed-up his remarks, “The Right Wing celebrated when Michigan fell and became a ‘Right-to-Work’ state. I want to make them regret that that happened.”

Michalakis acknowledges that an early mentor was leading Michigan Communist Party member Carl Reinstein.

He also serves as a member of the Communist Party USA‘s speaker’s bureau Speak Progress.

Cities On Fire – Dallas/Garland

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton
Hat Tip: Arlen Williams

How very appropriate that on May Day, May 1st (Commie Day), protests were staged in Dallas, Texas against immigration and police brutality. Two groups joined forces for the protests: Mothers Against Police Brutality and the Texas Organizing Project. Their common stated goal was an end to law enforcement terrorizing their communities. Translation… the federalization of our police forces. The protests in Dallas were only violent in message, not deed, but they are setting the country on fire Constitutionally and figuratively. This is not grassroots – it’s staged. Things are never ever what they seem anymore.

Let’s have a look at exactly who was behind the protests in Dallas on May Day…

We’ll start with Moms Against Police Brutality. I’m sure all of you have heard of the various Mom’s groups out there: Moms Against Drunk Driving, Moms Against Guns, Moms Against Knives and now Moms Against Police Brutality. There are a number of others as well out there. I suspect they all have similar roots.

The mission of Mothers Against Police Brutality is to:

  • Unite and support Mothers and families nationwide whose children’s lives were stolen and have suffered injustice at the hands of local police.
  • End the killing of unarmed and mentally ill persons by law enforcement personnel.
  • Change police deadly force policies, practices and training.
  • Hold police accountable through independent investigations of misconduct, brutality and homicide by police officers.
  • Help restore trust between police and the communities they are sworn to serve and protect.

In the end – what their mission is boils down to the nationalization of our police forces. Plain and simple. Brought to you by Barack Obama and his wing man, Al Sharpton.

Their partners are some very familiar organizations. Along with numerous chapters of Students Against Police Brutality, their national partners include:

And what do a number of these groups have in common? The Communist Party USA and United for Peace and Justice: UFPJ is a coalition of more than 1400 local and national groups throughout the United States who have joined together to protest the immoral and disastrous Iraq War and oppose our government’s policy of permanent warfare and empire-building. They are a partner organization of the Institute for Policy Studies, which in essence is George Soros. The National Coordinator is Leslie Cagan. Several Marxist organizations are involved in the UFPJ leadership, but the most influential has been the Communist Party USA, through their members and Steering Committee such as National Coordinator Judith LeBlanc, Steering Committee members such as Jacqueline Cabasso, Libero Della Piana and Siri Margerin and affiliate leaders including Rosalio Munoz, Alfred Marder and Erica Smiley.

Mothers Against Police Brutality also allies with Cornel West. They gave a special thank you to the Nation of Islam as well for providing security.

Texas Organizing Project is the new alias for ACORN. ACORN is the Progressive zombie organization exposed by James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles that just won’t die. They just keep being resurrected under different names.

TOP received $20,000 from the Tides Foundation – yep, George Soros again. They also got a grant from the Open Society Institute. They claim to seek social and economic equality in Texas – how very Marxist and un-Texan.

Nice flag you’ve got there…

Frank Crowley Courts Building in Dallas. (Vernon Bryant/Staff Photographer)

Signs with sayings such as “black lives matter” and “unarmed but still a possible victim,” were paraded and displayed. “Dallas is Baltimore. Dallas is Ferguson,” said John Fullinwider, with Mothers Against Police Brutality. Backing the Blue rallied on behalf of the police.

The marches ended in Dallas after about five hours with no arrests reported. About 500 attended – not a big number, but in a conservative state such as Texas it shows the Progressives are busy little Marxists who are at war, intending to turn a red state into a blue state with whatever it takes… chaos, protests or riots. These things are on their hit parade and are coming. Their chants of “This is what democracy looks like!” mingled with “Down, down deportation; up, up immigration!” and “Si, si, puede!” will reverberate across the nation this summer. I suggest ear plugs and antacid.

Pamela Geller – Atlas Shrugs

In Garland, Texas at the “First Annual Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest,” which this site promoted, two armed gunmen with semiautomatic weapons opened up on a security guard wounding him in the ankle. He will be fine thank God. They supposedly had explosives. The event was sold out with about 300 attendees and ran late – which probably saved their lives. As this was going down outside, they sang God Bless America inside… I couldn’t be prouder of everyone there. Most of them were also armed. And I am overjoyed the two ISIS thugs are dead.

From CBS here is the timeline:

7:45 pm CT: Officers tell Gabriel Roxas that two suspects were shot dead. Pamela Geller spoke to CBS 11 from lockdown via phone at 7:45 pm CT. In addition to echoing our ground team, she told a news producer, “I heard officers talking of possible explosions in backpacks and the car.” Sources told CBS 11 there was a report of a ‘grenade’ at an area Walmart, but the Garland PD said none was found.

8:11 pm CT: Joe Harn, spokesman for the Garland Police Department, tells CBS 11 two men pulled up in vehicle on the roadway in front of the center and began firing at a Garland ISD security guard. Garland Police returned fire and killed both suspects.

8:11 pm CT: Suspects’ vehicle being checked for explosives. It is scheduled to be detonated.

8:20 pm CT: Authorities tell CBS 11 that SWAT will escort 48 people at a time out of arena soon, but many are parked in a now secured area and cannot access cars.

8:30 pm CT: Garland ISD spokesman Chris Moore says one of their security guards was shot. His name is Bruce Joiner. He has been with the district for 8 years. He has non-life threatening injuries after being shot once in the leg. He’s in stable condition at a local hospital.

9:00 pm CT: Security guard Bruce Joiner released from hospital.

9:12 pm CT: No press conference until authorities have cleared the suspects’ vehicle.

9:29 pm CT: Muslim Response to Dallas Shooting. Harris Zafar, Vice President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association told CBS 11 via email: “People need to hear a strong Muslim voice condemning this insanity.”

9:29 pm CT: Suspects’ bodies still at the scene.

10:16 pm CT: Joe Harn of the Garland Police Department told CBS 11, “We were prepared for it.”

10:33 pm CT: Harn holds a press conference. When asked about the suspects, he said, “They drove out, got out, and opened fire on the security officer.” When asked about their identities, no information was disclosed.

10:34 pm CT: There were reports of a third suspect, but Harn said, “I don’t have any idea about that.”

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack – the contest was held at the same location and in the same room as a pro-Shariah law event was held just recently. When the killers opened fire and one reached for his backpack, one police officer didn’t hesitate, he took them out. That’s exactly what should have happened. That officer and others there did their jobs and I’m proud of them for it.

The SITE Intelligence Group reported that an ISIS fighter claimed on Twitter that the shooting was carried out by two pro-ISIS individuals. In a series of tweets and links, a Jihadist named as Abu Hussain AlBritani, which SITE said was British ISIS fighter Junaid Hussain, claimed that ‘2 of our brothers just opened fire’ at the Prophet Muhammad exhibition in Texas. ‘They Thought They Was Safe In Texas From The Soldiers of The Islamic State,’ added the tweet. And ISIS thought they could do whatever they wanted – not in Texas evidently, you asshats. Both of the dead terrorists were from Phoenix, Arizona. It is also being reported that the FBI knew of their planned attack for several hours at least beforehand and did nothing about it. FBI director James Comey revealed that the agency had information that Elton Simpson was interested in heading to Garland, Texas, before he and his companion, Nadir Soofi, opened fire at the Mohammed cartoon contest. Comey told reporters that the FBI had alerted the police in Garland, Texas, shortly before the event. Officers on the ground never saw the warnings, however, and no attempt was made to warn the organizers or their security team of the threat.

The suspects’ bodies are seen next to their vehicle as it is searched for explosives
at the event. Two men got out the vehicle and opened fire, wounding a security guard in the leg,
before they were shot dead by police.

ISIS supporters claimed on Twitter that one of the gunmen was a man calling
himself Shariah Is Light.

Their getaway vehicle also looked like there was damage from an explosion to it, probably form SWAT preemptively blowing it up just for good measure.

Since the attack, ISIS has taken credit and both men were confirmed Islamists. As Pamela Geller put it on Fox News, this is a war on free speech. Pure and simple. Islam is trying to strip us of our Constitutional rights and we will not be silenced.

There had been no credible threats before the event and the shootout lasted seconds with about 20 shots being fired. Although there were no threats, Pamela and Robert have traveled with security for over 10 years and they had paid for heavy security for the event. This is a way of life for Geert Wilders. What a sad statement that is.

Any innocent blood spilled is all over Obama’s hands on this… he opened the borders and let them in. Hell, he’s flown and bused them in from all over the world. He’s brought ISIS here and now the fight is at hand.

Im back, follow & shoutout inshAllah – JazakAllah khair.

The Daily Mail couldn’t even bring themselves to show Mohammad in their report. After the Charlie Hebdo murders, this should be a stark reminder to Americans we are not immune from such atrocities. The war is now here and touching each of us personally. Matthew Vadum at FrontPage Mag says it best, “The anti-cartoon Jihad has come to America.”

From CNN:

“We say to the defenders of the cross, the U.S., that future attacks are going to be harsher and worse. The Islamic State soldiers will inflict harm on you with the grace of God. The future is just around the corner.”

And the AFP:

“Two of the soldiers of the caliphate executed an attack on an art exhibit in Garland, Texas, and this exhibit was portraying negative pictures of the Prophet Mohammad … We tell America that what is coming will be even bigger and more bitter, and that you will see the soldiers of ISIS do terrible things.”

After being attacked by both sides of the aisle for holding a contest to draw Mohammad, a contest that basically showcased free speech, Pamela put it bluntly, “Everyone seems so eager to surrender. I never will.” And neither will I. Those who stand against Pamela Geller and anyone taking a stand for free speech against Shariah Law and the Islamists, I’ll ask you what Bill Whittle has asked… which are you… a fascist, a coward or a moron? Or are you all three? #IStandWithPamelaGeller

Senator Ted Cruz:

“We saw the ugly face of radical Islam in Garland, Texas, recently,” Cruz said of a “Draw Muhammad” event there, “Thankfully, one police officer helped those terrorists meet their virgins.”

Dreams from Obama’s Different Fathers

By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media

President Obama on Monday is celebrating his “My Brother’s Keeper” initiative, designed to create and expand “ladders of opportunity” for young blacks, many of whom have no fathers to guide them. But does President Obama have the credibility to deal with this crisis when he has failed to acknowledge as President the debt that he owes to his mentor and father figure, Communist Frank Marshall Davis?

What’s worse, Obama’s own half-brother, Malik Obama, is calling the President a con man who has failed to help members of his own poverty-stricken Kenyan family. Asked if President Obama has contributed to the foundation for his father, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., Malik told filmmaker Joel Gilbert, “No. No. Nothing.”

Perhaps the senior Obama isn’t Obama’s real father, after all.

The fatherhood crisis in black America was illustrated by the controversy over a black mother in Baltimore pulling her son off the streets when she caught him throwing rocks at the police during the riots. The mother, Toya Graham, has six children but no husband.

In addition to his initiatives on behalf of black fathers and their sons, Obama has unveiled a “fatherhood pledge,” which goes as follows:

“In response to President Obama’s call for a national conversation on responsible fatherhood and healthy families:

  • I pledge to renew my commitment to family and community.
  • I recognize the positive impact that fathers, mothers, mentors, and other responsible adults can have on our children and youth, and pledge to do all I can to provide children in my home and throughout my community the encouragement and support they need to fulfill their potential.”

Signers are told that “President Obama grew up without his dad, and has said that being a father is the most important job he has. That’s why the President is joining dads from across the nation in a fatherhood pledge—a pledge that we’ll do everything we can to be there for our children and for young people whose fathers are not around.”

In one of several stories expected to highlight Obama’s alleged commitment to the progress of black people, Yahoo! News describes Obama’s Monday launch of a new foundation to help black youth as part of his presidential legacy.

But in the blockbuster revelations that have been ignored by the pro-Obama “mainstream media,” Malik Obama, son of Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., told Joel Gilbert in an interview from Kenya that he feels disappointed in, used and betrayed by President Obama. “In the beginning, I didn’t think that he was a schemer,” Malik Obama said. “His real character, his real personality, the real him, is coming out now.” Malik says that after using his Kenyan family for political purposes to get elected, Obama has largely abandoned them.

Malik is so disillusioned that he wants his half-brother to take a DNA test to see if he is really related to him.

The version of Barack Obama’s family history that continues to be disseminated nationally is that he grew up without a dad after his father, Barack Hussein Obama Sr., abandoned the family. The experience of not having a dad is said to have sparked Obama’s commitment to strengthen the black family through the “responsible fatherhood” initiative and the “My Brother’s Keeper” program. The foundation launched on Monday is an extension of the latter.

Gilbert asked Malik if he had approached Barack Obama about getting some funds to help bury their aunt, Zeituni Onyango, in Kenya after she died in Boston.  Malik responded, “Yes I did. I told him that she’s our aunt, she’s your father’s sister, she loved you very much and we need to do something for her. We need around $20,000 and he said that was too much and that it seemed like she deserved what she got. And I was saying in my mind, ‘what kind of person is this?’ And I told him, ‘you say you’re your brother’s keeper, I don’t feel it, and I don’t see you living up to what you say.’ She had really been good to him when he came. I felt really sad that he would just abandon her like that. I just left. She was stuck there for a month. People were trying to raise money and we finally got her back.”

“The White House had no comment on Onyango’s passing,” the Boston Globe reported at the time.

Malik’s statement to Obama, “you say you’re your brother’s keeper, I don’t feel it, and I don’t see you living up to what you say,” is just another indication that Barack Obama’s family history is questionable.

Obama’s claim to have been abandoned by his Kenyan father, Barack Hussein Obama Sr., is usually combined with the story that he was raised by his white grandparents in Hawaii. However, this has been demonstrated to be a carefully concocted lie designed to hide the fact that his grandfather picked black Communist Frank Marshall Davis to be Obama’s childhood mentor in Hawaii.

According to Barack Obama’s book, Dreams from My Father, Davis, referred to as “Frank,” gave him advice on such topics as going to college and race relations, telling him that blacks “have reason to hate.” Davis’s true identity in the Obama book Dreams from My Father was obviously concealed because of his controversial background—which has been extensively documented by Accuracy in Media—as a suspected Soviet espionage agent, pornographer and pedophile.

It was communist historian Gerald Horne who initially disclosed “Frank” to be Davis at a 2007 event announcing that the archives of the Communist Party USA were being stored at New York University’s Tamiment Library. He had noted Davis’s influence over Obama and predicted in his remarks, “Rethinking the History and Future of the Communist Party,” that Obama would go down in history as a major and influential figure.

Despite Obama’s professed concern for the future of the dysfunctional black family, he has never been asked publicly by the media to explain his relationship with Davis, and he has avoided even mentioning the subject in public, except for one 1995 appearance that just recently surfaced on the Internet in a video. Obama said in that appearance that Davis had schooled him on the subject of white racism before he went off to college.

At one time, Malik Obama said, they were very close. Yet, Barack Obama has largely abandoned his family in Kenya. “He doesn’t want anything to do with me anymore,” Malik said. “I don’t understand how somebody who claims to be a relative or a brother can behave the way that he’s behaving, be so cold and ruthless, and just turn his back on the people he said were his family.”

Gilbert, the director of a film claiming Obama’s real father is Davis and not the Kenyan Obama, asked Malik if he thinks Barack Obama may be the child of Frank Marshall Davis rather than Barack Hussein Obama Sr. “There’s a great resemblance,” Malik replied. “I think Frank Marshall Davis and Barack, they look alike. Some kind of moles I see on his face and Frank, he has those too. There’s a resemblance.”

President Obama has promised to visit Kenya in July. White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz said, “he did not yet know whether the President would visit with members of his extended family,” CNN reported.

Gilbert asked Malik, “Do you expect when he comes to Kenya that he will come to see you?” He replied, “No, I don’t expect that. I don’t. He’s coming to Kenya right now. I’ve not been informed…An embarrassment and demeaning.”

We are two years into the second term of the presidency of Barack Obama and still serious questions are raised about the history and background of the President of the United States.

However, Gerald Horne and others on the left always have seemed secure in their knowledge of what this presidency represents.  “At some point in the future,” Horne had said, “a teacher will add to her syllabus Barack’s memoir and instruct her students to read it alongside Frank Marshall Davis’ equally affecting memoir, ‘Living the Blues’…”

At that point, perhaps, we will learn the complete truth about Barack Obama and Frank Marshall Davis.

Top Communist Admits: Communist Party ‘Utilizes’ the Democratic Party – a Lesson for Constitutionalists

By: Trevor Loudon
New Zeal

New national chair of the Communist Party USA, Chicago man John Bachtell, has admitted that his Party “utilizes” the Democratic Party “to advance its agenda.”

John Bachtell

John Bachtell

Writing on the People’s World website, Bachtell explains that much of the left wants to abandon the Democratic Party (as much of the “right” wants to abandon the GOP) to form a radical third party.

In an article entitled A radical third party? I agree! Bachtell explains:

Certainly, there’s widespread disillusionment with both the Democratic and Republican parties. That’s reflected in the latest Pew Research poll: 38 percent of voters describe themselves as independent, 32 percent as Democrats, and 25 percent as Republicans. In 1991, the three were approximately equal.

While acknowledging that both major parties are heavily influenced by Wall Street, Bachtell sees a big difference:

However, it’s not enough to make sweeping generalizations about the Democratic and Republican parties. It’s true both parties are dominated by Wall Street interests, but it’s also necessary to see how each party differs, particularly their social bases and how this affects their policies.

While the Republican Party is led by the most reactionary sections of Wall Street capital including the energy extractive sector and military industrial complex, it also consists of extreme right-wing elements including the Tea Party, white supremacists, social conservatives, right-wing evangelicals, climate deniers, anti-reproductive rights groups, etc.

Meanwhile the Democratic Party is also home to labor, African Americans, Latinos, other communities of color, women, most union members, young people, and a wide range of social and democratic movements. These constituencies exert influence on party leadership and hold positions at all levels.

Therefore, it makes sense, according to Bachtell, for the Communist Party to stick with the Democrats until a viable third party is feasible. To Bachtell, progress towards socialism is possible only after the “right” is soundly defeated.

The Communist Party’s tactics for political independence rest on several interrelated elements. First, they occur within the constraints of the two-party system. We don’t operate in a parliamentary system which allows proportional voting. Instead, winner takes all, and during the general election it usually comes down to voting for one of two candidates most likely to win.

That means candidates are backed by coalitions. Under these circumstances voting based on purity of positions is not a viable tactic. Coalition forces may disagree with a candidate on one or another issue, but find they must support candidates for strategic reasons – to advance issues and create a more favorable terrain of struggle.

Our tactics also occur within the framework of our strategic policy of building a broad coalition to defeat the extreme right, which we see as the main danger to democracy and social progress, embodied within today’s Republican Party. There are voting constituencies that presently support the GOP that have to be won over. Such an approach sees the need to actively challenge right-wing and GOP ideas that influence sections of the people, especially working-class whites, for example, through hate talk radio. This includes racism and intolerance which are key issues dividing the working class.

We see this as one of the stages in the long struggle for advanced democracy and socialism. Without decisively defeating the most reactionary sections of monopoly capital, disintegrating Republican Party support at every level, it’s hard to see winning more radical and advanced programs and policies and waging a fight against the monopoly class as a whole.

We envision a prolonged process toward political independence, with many turns, advances and defeats, utilizing many forms, resulting in a radical third party based in labor, working-class neighborhoods, communities of color, and democratic movements. Such a coalition third party must extend its reach beyond urban areas, to suburbs, exurbs, rural areas, and in “red” states and congressional districts.

Until that glorious day arrives, the Communist Party will continue to “utilize” the Democrats:

First, we are part of building the broadest anti-ultra right alliance possible, uniting the widest array of class (including a section of monopoly), social and democratic forces. This necessarily means working with the Democratic Party. This differentiates us from those left groups who underestimate the right danger and overestimate the readiness of key class and social forces to bolt the Democratic Party.

Second, our objective is not to build the Democratic Party. At this stage we are about building the broad people’s movement led by labor that utilizes the vehicle of the Democratic Party to advance its agenda. We are about building the movements around the issues roiling wide sections of people that can help shape election contours and debates.

The Communist Party often upsets less mature Marxist groups because of their refusal to abandon the Democratic Party, despite not always getting every item on their agenda immediately.

As an experienced Communist, John Bachtell understands that in spite of difficulties and disappointments, the Communist Party agenda is far better served by infiltrating the Democrats than by marching in the streets yelling revolutionary slogans.

The Communist Party and their only marginally less radical Democratic Socialists of America allies can point to real achievements under their “friend” Barack Obama. Obamacare, illegal immigrant “amnesty,” the NEW START Treaty with Russia, negotiations with Iran, military budget cuts and recognition of communist Cuba, are all Communist Party policies, implemented through the Democratic Party.

Bachtell understands that to prematurely break with with the Democrats, on some Quixotic adventure of forming a new leftist third party, would almost certainly hand the next few elections to the GOP. He fears that a revitalized GOP, led by Ted Cruz, or some similar figure, would roll back most, or all of the Communist Party’s hard fought gains.

If US Constitutionalist conservatives and Tea Party activists can show similar political discipline and maturity, they will abandon plans for a suicidal third party agenda – for now. Instead they will work through the GOP, as the Communists have through the Democrats. Learn from the opposition. Utilize the GOP machinery and voting base to build a big Constitutionalist base inside the GOP. Build your strength, do as the Communists have done, primary any vulnerable GOP candidates who will not support your Constitutionalist agenda.

The Communists did that to Senator Joe Lieberman from Connecticut. Now, virtually no senior Democrats will buck the Communist line. They know the price.

So, the Tea Party and their allies need to take back the GOP for Constitutionalism and ensure that someone of the caliber of Ted Cruz or Scott Walker is the GOP Presidential nominee in 2016.

If that happens, Americans can have a second “Reagan Revolution” even better than the first. If it doesn’t, the Communist Party will have theirs.

If Constitutionalists fail and Jeb Bush, or some similar milksop becomes the GOP nominee, they should gather all their forces, leave the GOP en masse and run against him as a third party. At that point, Constitutionalists have nothing left to lose. They should also make it very clear to the GOP hierarchy and major donors that a third party will inevitably follow any further “dirty tricks,” or other attempts to frustrate the will of the people.

Less than a thousand hardcore Communist Party activists and their few thousand Democratic Socialists of America allies effectively dictate Democratic Party policy.

If the much larger Constitutionalist/Tea Party movement can learn from their opponent’s tactics and maturity, they can have a real shot at restoring the Republic.

The battle for America is not between the Democrats and the Republicans. It is between the Communists and the Constitutionalists. The Constitutionalists must better understand their opposition and borrow some of their tactics, if they want a chance of victory.

Rep. Kathy Castor: The Castro Brothers’ Best Friend in Florida

By: Trevor Loudon
New Zeal

No Florida Congress member can take more credit in laying the groundwork for President Barack Obama’s “normalizing” of diplomatic relations with Communist Cuba than Tampa area Democratic Party Representative, Kathy Castor.

KathyC

Despite a very strong Cuban-exile, anti-Castro lobby in her home state, Rep. Castor has been relentless in her quest to make life easier for the terrorist-sponsoring, revolution exporting Castro brothers.

Using commercial opportunities and trade as bait, Rep. Castor has helped build a powerful lobby in her own state, which has set the stage for President Obama’s unilateral decision.

Rep. Castor is not a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus or similar pro-communist alliances.
She emphasizes commercial advantage over ideology in her campaign. Castor will also criticize Cuba’s abominable human rights record when convenient.

However, I believe she is just as ideologically committed to the Castro cause as is President Obama himself.

Interestingly, a report to the Communist Party USA was supportive of several Democratic candidates in the 2004 election cycle, including “Barak” Obama and Kathy Castor’s mother, Betty Castor, in her race for the US Senate from Florida:

It would be helpful for each district to single out House seats that can be swung from Republican to Democrat to develop our list of key races, which includes progressive Frank Barbaro in New York and Cynthia McKinney in Georgia.

A number of exciting candidates are emerging in the Senate, in the first place Barak Obama in Illinois, and also several progressive women including Betty Castor seeking to retain retiring Bob Graham’s seat as Democrat…

Incidentally, Betty Castor was appointed by President Obama in September of 2011, to the J. William Fulbright Scholarship Board, which oversees the worldwide Fulbright Program. On November 13, 2014, the Board elected her as Chair to begin a one-year term on January 1, 2015.

If the Communist Party liked Betty Castor, they should just love her daughter.

Much of Kathy Castor’s pro-Cuba activism has been in conjunction with the Washington, DC based Center for Democracy in the Americas, a spinoff of the far left Center for International Policy, and the notoriously pro-Castro Institute for Policy Studies.

In April 2013, the Center for International Policy partnered with the Alliance for Responsible Cuba Policy Foundation to host “Rapprochement With Cuba: Good for Tampa, Good for Florida, Good for America.” Rep. Castor provided the opening remarks at the Friday evening cocktail event in Tampa, FL and welcomed the panelists. The following day, the panelists discussed the Obama Administration’s Cuba policy, the State Department’s list of terrorist states, the Cuban-American vote, the US Congress’ Cuba policy, doing business in Cuba, deep water oil drilling in Cuba’s territorial waters and travel to Cuba at the Historic Cuban Club.

The highlight of the evening was hearing Representative Kathy Castor (D-FL) express her specific interest in normalizing relations with Cuba. According to Representative Castor, “Congress needs to change its policy towards Cuba, but Congress doesn’t have to act for the U.S. to begin to engage.

“I am confident that change is on the horizon,”Castor began. “Think about what can happen at the Port of Tampa, ports all across the Southeast. All across America. These are values that we share as Americans — trade, travel and the ability to have a productive dialogue. There’s no reason any longer that it should not move forward.”

Among those cheering Castor that evening was panelist and The Nation magazine contributor, Peter Kornbluh, of the DC-based National Security Archive (another Institute for Policy Studies spin-off). He called Castor a “trailblazer for a new, modern, post-Cold War policy towards Cuba,” and said that the four-term congresswoman can be the catalyst to redefine the Florida-Cuba relationship, which until now has generally been controlled “by Castro-hating exiles who live in Miami.”

Kornbluh has a history of cheerleading for communism.

When a $14 million aid package for the anti-communist Nicaraguan “Contras” came up in the spring of 1985, Congress initially voted it down. Just forty-eight hours before the vote, Sens. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) and John Kerry (D-Mass.) traveled to Nicaragua. Their “celebrated meetings with the Marxist-Leninist Sandinista junta leaders, which captured the headlines and helped sway Congress, were arranged by Peter Kornbluh, then a fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies. Within a week, the Sandinista president, Daniel Ortega, flew to Moscow and secured $200 million in Soviet aid.” “Shocked and embarrassed, Congress reversed gears” and granted $27 million in aid to the “Contras.”

The Institute for Policy Studies’ 33rd Annual Letelier-Moffitt Human Rights Awards were granted, Thursday, October 15, 2009. One of those the Award was named for was Cuban intelligence officer and Institute for Policy Studies staffer Orlando Letelier, killed by a Chilean government ordered car bomb in Washington, DC, September 21, 1976. Kornbluh was on the Award selection panel.

Rep. Kathy Castor also attended the Center for Democracy in the Americas’ 7th Anniversary Event, July 11, 2013.

Kathy Castor traveled to Cuba in early April of 2013, with members of her staff and representatives of the Center for Democracy in the Americas.

As she told the May 19, Tampa Bay Times on her return:

Cuba is changing, however, as I learned on my recent fact-finding visit. Cuba has embarked on meaningful economic reforms, which deserve encouragement by the United States, not continued isolation. President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry have a window of opportunity to engage and encourage reform in Cuba and should act now…

Reforming Cuba policy will improve our diplomatic standing in the region and, at a critical moment, strengthen the credibility of our policy against terrorism. The Summit of the Americas concluded in 2012 with a warning from our allies that if Cuba is not allowed to attend the 2015 Summit of the Americas in Panama, they will boycott this important regional conference. The Obama administration should use the next two years to put U.S.-Cuban relations on a constructive path.

Castor said Fidel Castro is no longer in power and described his brother, President Raul Castro, as “a much more practical ruler.”

“They are still a hard-core communist nation, but they are embarking on market reforms in their economy that deserve encouragement,” said Castor.

Castor said she plans to ask President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry “to open talks to lead to greater trade and travel opportunities.”

In December of 2013, the Center for Democracy in the Americas convened “Cubans in the New Economy: Their Reflections and the U.S. Response,” C.D.A. co-hosted at George Washington University and featured Cuban guests, plus Alex Lee, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Rep. Kathy Castor and several other mainly leftist “experts.”

The Center for Democracy in the Americas connection is problematic from another angle.

Until recent times, the Center listed as one of its key Advisory Board members as the infamous Julia Sweig.

Also listed among “former fellows, project co-ordinators and staff” of the Institute for Policy Studies, Julia E. Sweig is the Nelson and David Rockefeller Senior Fellow for Latin America Studies and Director for Latin America Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations.

In October of 2008, in Miami, Christopher S. Simmons, one of America’s foremost authorities on Cuban Intelligence, a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army and a career counterintelligence officer, identified several Cuban spies and their operations in the US. He later added several other names.

Speaking of Sweig, Simmons noted:

She may be one of two very unique categories of agents – an Agent of Influence or a “Persona de Confianza,” – another DI intelligence category. She has directed numerous Council-sponsored Task Forces on Latin America, currently serves on the Board of Directors for Foreign Affairs en Español; consultant on Latin American affairs, Congressional Program, The Aspen Institute (1999-present); Project Director, Center for Preventive Action Commission, Andes 2020: A New Strategy for the Challenges of Colombia and the Region (2004); Director, Independent Task Force, U.S.-Cuban Relations in the 21st Century, A Follow-On Chairman’s Report (2001). Wrote OPED pieces re Elian scenario and “Cuban terrorists” in the U.S.

In 2002, Sweig published her book, Inside the Cuban Revolution: Fidel Castro and the Urban Underground. Among those she thanks in her acknowledgements are six Cuban Intelligence Officers: Jose Antonmio Arbesu, Ramon Sanchez Parodi, Fernando Garcia Bielsa, Hugo Yedra, Jose Gomez Abad and Josefina Vidal. Not surprisingly, Sweig does not acknowledge that the six are career Intelligence Officers. The six Cuban spies she thanks are:

  • Ramon Sanchez Parodi Montoto: Became the first Chief of the Cuban Interest Section in Washington, DC on September 1, 1977, when the US and Cuba re-established diplomatic missions. This career spy served in Washington until 1989… Experts remain undecided as to whether he is DGI or from the infamous America Department (DA). In testimony before the US Senate, Dr. Daniel James charged Sanchez-Parodi with targeting the Congressional Black Caucus to foment opposition to existing US policies toward Cuba.
  • Jose Antonio Arbesu Fraga: Director of the America Area (formerly the DA) of the International Department of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC/ID). Following the 1992 resignation of legendary Cuban Intelligence officer Manuel Pineiro, Jose Antonio Arbesu Fraga, one of the DA’s Vice Directors, was selected as his replacement. In May 2004, Mexico forbade future visits by Cuban officials Arbesú and Pedro Miguel Lobaina-Jimenez de Castro.
  • Fernando Miguel Garcia Bielsa: As a 1st Secretary at the Cuban Interests Section, he was one 14 spy-diplomats expelled in May 2003. Earlier this year, Garcia Bielsa served as the Political Counselor in Santiago. Normally, Garcia’s extensive DA service, long-term ties to US terrorist groups (i.e., Puerto Rican extremists) and past service in the US would make his Santiago posting an anomaly. However, Santiago is likely a relatively benign operational area for a “burned” spy to continue to work with leftists groups and American agents.
  • Josefina de la C. Vidal Ferreiro: First Secretary at the Cuban Interests Section. One of 14 expelled in May 2003.
  • Hugo Ernesto Yedra Diaz: Yedra attracted considerable attention on November 22, 1977 when his briefcase exploded in the lobby of an Upper East Side apartment building. Yedra had set the case down to call for an elevator and apparently failed to activate the safety device on the case’s self-destruct device. Yedra lived in the building, but gathered his documents and fled the scene before police could arrive to investigate.
  • Jose Gomez Abad: A central figure in an attempted terrorist effort known as the “Black Friday Attack” on November 17, 1962, just weeks after the Cuban Missile Crisis. The FBI detained three Cuban Diplomats from its UN Mission and seized a cache of explosive and incendiary devices. Washington detained the Cubans on espionage-related charges and stockpiling munitions for use against US installations. Cuba’s targets included the Statue of Liberty; retail giants Macy’s, Gimbels and Bloomingdale’s; the main bus terminal on 42nd Street; Manhattan’s busiest subway stations – including Grand Central Station and several oil refineries along the New Jersey riverbank. Twelve detonators, several incendiary devices, grenades and 500 kilos of TNT were to be used on Black Friday – the busiest shopping day in the US.

Many of us forget the murderous intent shown by Castro’s agents in the United States.

Rep. Castor is knowingly, or unknowingly, serving the interests of an enemy nation with a long history of spying, subversion and aiding and planning terrorist attacks on US soil.

She has also allied herself with some of America’s worst homegrown subversives.

Should Kathy Castor and her associates be investigated by the incoming Republican controlled Congress?

For more information on Rep. Castor and more than 70 other US representatives and Senators, read Trevor Loudon’s 2015-2017 Edition of “The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the US Congress.”

One Republican With White Supremacists? Try 15 Democrats Mixing With Anti-American Communists

By: Trevor Loudon
New Zeal

The “mainstream media” is excited over revelations that House Majority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) addressed a white supremacist group in 2002.

scalise

And so they should be. The voting public has every right to know the associations of those they elect and pay to serve.

None of us want covert racists or extremists anywhere near public policy. We can all agree on that right?

So, to help the media to do the job they’re obviously so committed to, I’ve compiled a list of very troubling associations for their fearless journalists to investigate and expose.

Did you know that many leading Democrat politicians have close ties to the Communist Party USA? You know… the Party that supports China, Cuba, Venezuela and even Iran.

The evidence below only scratches the surface (for more complete information you can find my books here), but it should be enough to get the ball rolling.

Here’s senior Democratic Rep. Rosa DeLauro with Joelle Fishman, head of the Connecticut Communist Party, in the Party HQ, 37 Howe Street New Haven, August of 2010.

Note Mark Froemke’s name. Also note below that Mark Ritchie, a “non party friend,” was a guest speaker.

This is the same Mark Ritchie who later became Minnesota Secretary of State. The one who kept finding votes until Al Franken had JUST ENOUGH TO GET ELECTED in 2008.

And here’s Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, writing for the Communist Party’s Peoples World in August of 2014.

Over in Illinois, it’s pretty much the same.

And that’s not even looking at Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan, Oregon, Washington State or the Communist Party strongholds of New York and California!!!!

Could there be an issue here?

Communist Party activists don’t hang around senior Democrats to talk about the NFL. They associate with them to discuss matters of mutual concern, to coordinate messaging and campaigns, and to pass on instructions.

Since the Marxists took over the AFL-CIO in 1994-96, the left has been able to effectively write Democratic Party policy. That is why the Democrats have gone so far left in the last 15 years – they are following the Communist agenda.

Will the mainstream media now start falling over themselves in the rush to investigate the VERY EXTENSIVE Communist Party influence in the Democratic Party?

If you want to know more, you can pre-order the 2015-2017 edition of my book: “The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the US Congress.”

It contains more than seven hundred pages on the Communist infiltration of the US government. Not just old history – right here, right now! Learn about the Communist origins of Obamacare, “Amnesty” and the gutting of the US military. Read the profiles of more than 75 untrustworthy US Congress members – all documented.

The book is due for release on April 11th. Click on the button below to re-order your own personally autographed copy, or copies.

Weekly Featured Profile – Kevin Tyson

KeyWiki

Kevin Tyson

Illinois activist Kevin Tyson is a Christian, a communist, an activist and a Chicago Stock Exchange manager.

He is also a former co-parishioner with US President Barack Obama of the infamous Trinity United Church of Christ in South Chicago.

When the church’s pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, came under media attack for his extreme views in 2008, Tyson defended his pastor with the “race card.”

There’s a big element of racism involved in this… The black church itself is under attack.

At the 1998 Black Radical Congress in Chicago, one session was entitled – “Faith as a Weapon: Spirituality and the Role of the Church In The Radical Movement. What are the lessons we can learn from Nat Turner, Absalom Jones, Sojourner Truth, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Jr. and other Black ministers as leaders in the struggle? What is the history of spiritual motivation in the radical/liberation movement?”

Panelists included Democratic Socialists of America Marxists and Obama supporters Michael Eric Dyson and Cornel West, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright himself and Kevin Tyson.

In 1991, Kevin Tyson in Illinois was one of several hundred Communist Party USA members to sign the paper, “An initiative to Unite and Renew the Party” – most signatories subsequently left the Party after the December 1991 conference to found the breakaway Committees of Correspondence.

In 1994, Kevin Tyson in Chicago, was listed on a “Membership, Subscription and Mailing List” for the Chicago Committees of Correspondence,

However, Tyson, like many Chicago activists, seems to have drifted back to the Communist Party orbit.

In 2009, the Party’s Peoples Weekly World carried an article, “Saluting workers everywhere!”

Our unity makes Wall Street tremble.
Employee Free Choice and universal health care!
A ‘green’, demilitarized, democratized economy that works for all!

About seventy Illinois readers of the PWW signed the article, including Kevin Tyson.
