Khalid Kamau: DSA communist wins Georgia Council race

Khalid Kamau, a member of the Marxist Democratic Socialists of America has resoundingly won a City Council seat in South Fulton, Georgia’s second largest city.

Also Black Lives Matter activist and Democratic Party member, Khalid Kamau, won 43% of the vote in a five-way primary, then 67% in the April 18th run-off.

Kamau’s impressive victory was won with massive DSA support. Marxists from across the country volunteered in, donated to and phone banked for comrade Kamau’s campaign.

According to Pittsburgh DSA:

Thanks to the work of DSA chapters across the country, including Pittsburgh DSA, Khalid Kamau won a whopping 43% of the vote in a five-way race. Our work helped put Khalid in a commanding 1st place, but it was short of the majority needed to win outright. Now we need to work together to put him over the top in the run-off election, so he can help advance the struggle for municipal victories around wages and housing.

“Far too many elected officials start their day thinking of your boss instead of you — but the working people of South Fulton will have a City Council member on their side: Khalid Kamau,” explained Maria Svart, Democratic Socialists of America’s national director. “Khalid’s win today is a tremendous victory for his community and a shot across the bow for politics as usual nationwide.”

Erin Parks, a Metro Atlanta DSA chapter member and Kamau campaign volunteer expressed enthusiasm: “Khalid’s campaign and victory prove that teamwork and a people-centered platform can prevail against all odds. His win is a harbinger of things to come in the Metro Atlanta progressive movement.”

Khalid entered today’s runoff election after coming in first place in a five-way primary election held in March with 43%. In that race, khalid won twice as many votes as the next runner up, and the highest percentage of any candidate running for any office in South Fulton. DSA members across the country made thousands of phone calls on behalf of khalid for both rounds of the election.

Khalid Kamau’s victory is part of a much bigger plan. DSA sees the new City of South Fulton as an opportunity to create the largest Progressive city in the South.

At February’s Young Democratic Socialists gathering, “Revolution at the Crossroads: Igniting the Socialist Resistance Against Trump,” Khalid Kamau “highlighted the right wing’s long-term strategy, especially their use of local races as a path for base building and candidate training. He argued that the left also needs to employ this strategy.”

In April 2017, Quad Cities Democratic Socialists of America member Dylan Parker was elected to the Rock Island City Council, 5th Ward Alderman, with DSA support.

Parker was the thirteenth DSA member holding elected office in the country, including Carlos Rosa, Chicago’s 35th Ward Alderman, Mike Sylvester of the Maine House of Representatives and Julie Ann Nitsch Austin Community College Board of Trustee in Texas.

Khalid Kamau’s victory is also indicative of DSA’s strong interest in Georgia. With more than 300 members in Atlanta alone, DSA aims to use upcoming Mayoral, Congressional and the next Gubernatorial race, to return a much more vulnerable than you might think Red State back to the Blue column.

Patriots vs. Commies: Berkeley Turns Into a War Zone [VIDEO]

Things got frisky in Berkeley, California Saturday when Antifa leftists and Trump supporters faced off. I believe this is only going to get worse over time and spread. The police basically stood back and did nothing. Both sides got their violence on and it was not pretty. One Trump supporter punched a female leftist in the face. He didn’t hold back either… wonder if he realizes he could have killed her. The Antifa thugs wore coverings over their faces and many were in fact bought and paid for by the radical left. Most are college students who have been taught over and over that Marxists are above others and are morally superior to those on the right.

At least 20 were arrested in the violent standoffs, but not until they had their fun. Berkeley was a war zone this weekend. 11 people were injured, including one officer who inhaled some variant of tear gas. There were hundreds of protesters in the streets and many were armed with one form of weapon or another. The Trump supporters wore helmets and came prepared this time. Police are saying there will be more arrests once they review video and social media of the event. There’s a lot of it out there too. Most officers donned gas masks because of tear gas. Fireworks were thrown into the mass of people and police said that pepper spray was used in the crowd.

BERKELEY (KRON) — Twenty people are in custody and 11 people were injured after an enormous group of pro and anti-Trump demonstrators clashed in Berkeley.

Hundreds of President Trump supporters and anti-Trump protesters held dual demonstrations Saturday near the downtown area at 2151 Martin Luther King Jr. Way.

Police expect to make more arrests once they review video and social media evidence.

KRON4 had a team of reporters at Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park, where fights broke out and gas was released on the crowd earlier in the morning.

Those arrested were booked into Santa Rita Jail, according to police.

Due to the release of gas, officers were forced to wear gas masks.

“A large portion of the crowd has now moved into the street and some fights have broken out,” according to Berkeley police. “Currently, Allston Way between Milvia St. and Martin Luther King Jr. Way is blocked.”

Part of the demonstration crowd moved to Shattuck Avenue and Center Street, and these roads were blocked off.

Officers also said they came across several prohibited items including flagpoles, a knife, a stun gun, helmets and signs, and flags attached to poles. Those items were strictly prohibited and officers had confiscated many of them earlier in the day. The Downtown Berkeley BART station was shut down due to a “civil disturbance,” according to BART officials. When officers were asked about the fights, they said they were not at liberty to discuss their tactics. “Our No. 1 goal is to make sure that our community has an opportunity to practice its First Amendment rights,” police Sgt. Andrew Frankel said. But widely circulated video from the scene Saturday showed many Berkeley police officers standing around doing nothing as people literally beat each other into the ground. Several officers said they were ordered to stand down by the Chief of Police.

Within just a few hours of the protests starting it turned violent as Antifa activists threw rocks, used pepper spray and released tear gas at the Trump supporters. Many of the right-wingers wore head and face gear to protect themselves from the expected onslaught and began chanting “Trust fund commies, off our street!” The Trump supporters did not hold back this time and were yelling for the commies to get out of California. Refreshing.

Trump supporters had organized a Patriot Day rally, starring Lauren Southern, a former reporter for conservative Canadian outlet The Rebel Media and Kyle Chapman, a man who achieved Internet stardom as “Based Stickman” after assaulting a member of Antifa with a stick at the March 4th scuffle in Berkeley, among others. This was not a rally or a protest really… it was an all-out brawl. It was total chaos in the streets. Antifa showed up and started the violence, so this can squarely be laid at their feet. But the right decided to dance for a change and boy did they.

Antifa claims to want to stop fascists, but they are the fascists in reality. Every time they appear en masse in black masks, they’re just encouraging millions of Americans to hate them with a burning passion. And Americans are not going to stand passively by while communists run wild in the streets… not anymore.

Juan Pablo Guevara

Juan Pablo Guevara is a Los Angeles musician, songwriter and community activist. He studied recording engineering at The Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA and in 2016 earned a Bachelor’s degree in political science from California State University, Los Angeles.

When he’s not doing volunteer work and serving his community, Juan is a consultant for recording studios, houses of worship, and numerous professional musicians.

For several years, Juan Pablo Guevara was a leader of the Southern California Young Communist League USA, youth wing of the Communist Party USA.

In December 2010, Tashia Holloman, Jordan Farrar and Juan Pablo Guevara were Young Communist League USA delegates to the 17th World Youth Festival, in South Africa, a regular event organized by the still existing Soviet front organization, World Federation of Democratic Youth.

The 18th festival was held in Quito, Ecuador, on December 7-13, 2013. Juan Pablo Guevara, Mik Diddams, Abimael Lucio Sucio, Lisa Bergmann from the the Young Communist League USA represented the United States.

Circa 2015, Juan Pablo Guevara and his comrade Abimael Lucio Sucio, led a split from the Young Communist League USA to form a hard core Maoist organization based in East LA, Red Guards – Los Angeles.

The new organization joined with the New York based Revolutionary Student Coordinating Committee, the Kansas City, Missouri based Progressive Youth Organization and the Texas based Red Guards Austin to form a nationwide Maoist party, Liaison Committee for a New Communist Party. The alliance soon fell apart, after the RSCC’s collapse in 2016.

Juan Pablo Guevara has also been affiliated with the International League of Peoples Struggle, “an international formation of more than 350 organizations from 40 countries promoting, supporting and developing the anti-imperialist struggles of the peoples of the world.”

The organization supports Maoist revolutions around the world, particularly in India and the Philippines.

Aggressive progressives are obsessively busing in volunteers from Michigan, Washington D.C., Maryland, New York, North Carolina and elsewhere in an effort to force a victory in Georgia’s sixth district special election for Jon Ossoff, a former intern for both Representatives John Lewis and Hank Johnson.

Jon Ossoff’s entire campaign seems to be about making President Trump angry. In fact, “his first serious email fundraising pitch” was titled “Make Trump Furious.” Just to prove his “resist Trump” creds, Jon Ossoff attended the Fourth District Day of Resistance shortly after Donald Trump won the election, an event sponsored by U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson “to rail against the incoming Trump administration and the GOP’s Congressional agenda.”

“Punch Trump in the gut”: Kansas socialists back Congressional candidate James Thompson

America’s largest Marxist organization, 20,000 strong Democratic Socialists of America, is intervening heavily in a special Congressional election to be held in the 4th District of Kansas.

DSA wants to “Punch Trump in the gut”…to deliver a shock defeat in the first Congressional election since Donald Trump won the presidency in November 2016. To this end, the socialists are heavily backing Democratic candidate James Thompson in a deep red district vacated by Trump’s CIA pick Mike Pompeo.

Regarded as an impossible mission only a few weeks ago, the April 11th election is now widely regarded as very much “in play.”

Candidate Thompson, a Bernie Sanders supporter,  plays to the middle, emphasizing his military background, but his Marxist supporters regard him as a “progressive Democrat,” very much worthy of their support.

Many Wichita Democratic Socialists of America supporters are actively supporting Thompson’s campaign. The most important is probably the candidate’s right hand woman, Field Director Rhonda Cox.

Rhonda Cox took on the important role of coordinating Thompson’s campaign volunteers in February, 2017.

In November 2016, Rhonda Cox joined the 400 member Wichita Democratic Socialists of America public Facebook groups and has signaled her intention to attend at least two Wichita DSA meetings since then.

Rhonda Cox has worked to enlist help from other “progressive” groups including Sister District and Moveon.org. She says “this is such an important race and a test of the Trump administration. If he (Thompson) can win this race in this red red state of Kansas it will be like punching Trump in the gut”.

Wichita Democratic Socialists of America seems to have made electing James Thompson a top group priority.

On February 8th, James Thompson participated in a debate with four other Democratic Party hopefuls, moderated by Friends University political science professor and Democratic Party activist Russell Arben Fox.

In recent days, the National Republican Campaign Committee (NRCC) used Thompson’s alleged extreme pro-abortion views to attack the candidate in this ad.

The NRCC attributes its ad to statements allegedly made by Thompson at the February 8th event.

“That forum took place at Friends University, and I moderated it, and know exactly what was said about abortion that night, because I was the one who asked the candidates the questions,” says Russell Arben Fox.

“Thompson is pro-choice. But there was nothing – NOTHING – said that evening, by anyone, about “late-term abortions” or “sex-selective abortions.”

Thompson’s campaign has requested that the ad be pulled from a local TV station, but Matt Gorman, communications director for the NRCC, has said on Twitter that “the ad is still airing and is 100% accurate.”

No one unfortunately, has mentioned the fact that Russell Arben Fox has been a key leader of the Wichita Democratic Socialists of America for close to a decade.

DSA hits 20,000 member mark

A year ago Democratic Socialists of America, this country’s largest Marxist Organization, had 6,500 members.

On April 5th, thanks to the Bernie Sanders campaign and the Trump presidency, DSA reached 20,000 signed up comrades. 

A good chunk of this membership is also active in the Democratic Party. They are also organizing down ballot campaigns across the country, in a serious effort to move grass roots politics to the far left.

Their latest victory is Quad Cities Democratic Socialists of America member and Rock Island Illinois diesel technician Dylan Parker who has just won a position on the Rock Island City Council.

While the world is rightly focused on Syria right now, America needs to understand that domestic enemies are also a grave threat to the US Constitution.

Cornhusker Commie: Lou Braatz stands for Lincoln, Nebraska City Council, constitutionalists must pay attention

The United States’ largest Marxist organization, 19,000 strong Democratic Socialists of America, is pushing hard into Republican strongholds across the nation. New DSA locals have sprung up in red states like Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Oklahoma, Idaho, Arkansas, Kansas, Alaska and now Nebraska.

Locals have recently been established in Lincoln and Omaha, with several hundred activists and supporters, recruited mainly from the Bernie Sanders movement.

DSA comrades have already won influence, including Omaha DSA leader Tom Tilden‘s election to the post of 2nd Associate-chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party.

Now, DSAer Lou Braatz is contesting an open seat on the Lincoln City Council.

Braatz is a veteran of three election campaigns: Patsy Koch Johns, who ran successfully for the state Board of Education; Larry Scherer, an unsuccessful legislative candidate; and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

His platform, mentions nothing of key DSA planks, such as elimination of private businesses, but talks benignly about scheduling more City Council meetings in the evening so “working residents can join in the conversations,” a commitment to mitigating the effects of climate change, support for the city’s park system and for promoting a safe, inclusive environment…

Both local and national Democratic Socialists of America have endorsed Lou Braatz’s run, so he will start the campaign with dozens, if not hundreds of campaign volunteers and no doubt a reasonable amount of both in-state and out-of-state cash.

Local constitutionalists and the Nebraska GOP needs to take this race seriously. They should pump money and people into this race to make sure Marxism gets no foothold in Nebraska.

DSA and other leftists are pushing hard in vulnerable red states like Texas, Georgia and North Carolina. Most conservatives laugh at these efforts, but the left knows that urbanization and demographics are on their side. They have already flipped Colorado and Virginia, and are targeting several southern Red States with truckloads of cash and busloads of hardened union campaigners and starry eyed college kids.

The Electoral College saved America in the last election – but it cuts both ways. DSA and their allies on the left understand that if they can flip either Texas, or a trifecta of Georgia, Florida and North Carolina (real possibilities all), there will never be another Republican president after Donald Trump.

Big Names Headline the People’s Summit in Chicago – It’s a Who’s Who of Communists

The commies have truly come out of the closet. The whole gang will be getting together in Chicago on June 9th thru the 11th. Bernie Sanders, Michael Moore, Danny Glover and Van Jones will be headlining the People’s Summit. Chicago is where the headquarters of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) is located. They are still labeling themselves as progressives, but anyone with two functioning brain cells knows these are devout communists… comrades in arms. Thousands will join them to plot taking back America from President Trump and the Republicans. It will be one giant war room.

This should be common knowledge now and come as no surprise to anyone. Van Jones has a long, violent history of being a Marxist. Don’t believe his protestations that he has reformed, he hasn’t. Bernie Sanders calls himself a socialist… in reality, he’s a communist and the current healthcare plan he is presenting to Trump should prove that. He is pushing single payer healthcare. Michael Moore is a Marxist film producer and the editor of The Nation. And Danny Glover never met a communist or dictator he didn’t love.

Soviet-style socialist Bernie Sanders, along with fellow radical communist and CNN commentator Van Jones, Marxist film producer Michael Moore, and Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez-loving stooge and actor Danny Glover will be headlining the upcoming “People’s Summit” to be held from June 9 to 11 in Chicago, the headquarters of the Communist Party USA.

Calling themselves the politically correct term “progressives” instead of the anti-American, anti-freedom communists that they are, the above communist leaders will join thousands of other totalitarians who are hellbent to fundamentally transform America into North Korea or Venezuela.

Groups sponsoring the event include a laundry list of George Soros-funded communist front groups who are butthurt that corrupt and untrustworthy Hillary Clinton was not elected to continue Obama’s lurch to the left.

Among the “convening organizations” listed on the group’s website, include the following: National Nurses United, People’s Action, United Students Against Sweatshops, People for Bernie, Our Revolution, United Electrical Workers, Color of Change, Progressive Democrats of America, Democratic Socialists of America, and Presente.

Many of the groups attending are funded by that old spider George Soros. Mark Svart, national director of the Democratic Socialists of America, had this to say: “President Trump exploited long-standing racial divisions between working people to gain power, when we know he’s packed his cabinet with the same characters who rigged the economy. We all need to team up and fight back, and pro-corporate Democrats aren’t doing that effectively. Democratic socialists know that defeating neo-liberalism is a necessary part of defeating Trump’s right-wing populist agenda and defending democracy itself. The People’s Summit helps us make the alliances we need against capitalism at its worst.” They are terrified that Trump will undo the progress they’ve made in turning America into a communist hellhole like North Korea, Venezuela or Cuba.

If you want to hear the sentiment from these jackals, take a listen to Nina Turner, a former Ohio state senator and a vocal communist supporter of Sanders during the Democrat presidential primary: “There is no force more powerful than a community on the move for justice. We will protest, we will plan and we will preserve in the building of political power from the ground up. This is our moment.” And they really, really believe it. They are saying go, go, go! That is why you see chaos and violence exploding in our streets now.

This is going to be a who’s who of radicals. Others attending include Shaun King, Frances Fox Piven and Palestinian Linda Sarsour. You’ve got proponents of Saul Alinsky, the Muslim Brotherhood and one of the founders of Cloward and Piven. Sounds like the party from hell to me.

Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the US. It is one of two official US affiliates of the Socialist International. It was formed in 1982 from a merger of the Michael Harrington led Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee and the smaller New American Movement. DSA publishes a quarterly journal, the Democratic Left. While claiming to be socialist, Democratic Socialists of America is a Marxist organization, that draws heavily from the ideas of the late Italian Communist Party theoretician Antonio Gramsci. This is the true face of the left. The People’s Summit is an event organized and promoted by the CPUSA and those attending it are communists… pretty much the entire Democratic Party these days. And definitely the enemies within.

Tom Tilden

Tom Tilden, is 2nd Associate-chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party. A position he won in 2016. He is also a Marxist, a leader of the recently founded Omaha Democratic Socialists of America.

Tom Tilden, a longtime activist in Omaha, was one of the key Sanders grassroots leaders in Nebraska. After some encouragement from the Progressive Democrats of America, Tom Tilden, is among those Democratic Socialists of America members setting up shop for socialism deep in Trump country. Tilden is a DSA veteran, having joined when he lived in Chicago in the late ’80s. But when he moved to Nebraska in 1993, Tilden says, he didn’t consider starting a new chapter there, though he remained a member of the national organization. When people talk about “the Left” in conservative Nebraska, Tilden explains, they’re referring to “people in the middle of the Democratic Party leftward. ‘The Left’ is progressive. People don’t usually think in terms of socialist.”

Tilden sees potential in building institutions outside the Democratic Party, but is also a firm believer in trying to stage a takeover from the inside. This fall, he joined Keystone XL pipeline opponent Jane Kleeb on the ticket to run Nebraska’s Democratic Party. She’s now the party’s state chair. Tilden is second associate chair and has similar goals for his work in this position as he does as a local DSA organizer: Reaching working-class voters, especially those who went for Trump, but might yet be won over to the kind of anti-racist, anti-capitalist movement that DSA hopes to build.

“People in rural Nebraska are more progressive than they realize,” Tilden reasons. While door-knocking during the Sanders campaign, he and other volunteers found that many rural voters took firm stands against corporate agriculture and attacks on public education. “I think once we work with them on their issue, they’ll see that the people on their side are not the Republicans.”

Bold Nebraska protesters held a rally in Omaha on January 20th, 2016 to convince senators to reject some of president-elect Trump’s cabinet picks.

The group held a rally at Sen. Deb Fischer‘s office as part of a nationwide “Day Against Denial,” calling on all 100 U.S. Senators to reject President-elect Trump’s climate-denying cabinet selections.

Those in attendance said they were fighting against Trump’s cabinet picks including Rex Tillerson, CEO of Exxon, for Secretary of State, Scott Pruitt for the EPA Administration, Ex-Gov. Rick Perry for Secretary of Energy and Rep. Ryan Zinke for the Department of Interior.

“I want to make sure the Senator knows that this is important issue and there is a lot of people who care about the climate and the choice is here are you on the side of science or are you on the side of Exxon, big energy companies, are you for them or for science? It’s one of the other,” said demonstrator Tom Tilden.

Rally goers said anyone who denies climate change shouldn’t be in the White House cabinet.
