It’s Over! Dems Try To Object To Trump Certification As President… Hilarity Ensues

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton | Right Wing News

Laughing forever over this one. Just hysterical! You have got to watch the videos below. At a joint session of Congress yesterday, they went about the business of certifying Donald J. Trump as the 45th President of the United States through the Electoral College votes. Give credit where it is due here… Joe Biden did his job and handled this as he should have. Look closely as this all goes down. Behind Joe Biden sits the Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and he just cracked up over all this. I don’t blame him.

Barbara ‘commie’ Lee stood up and objected on her own behalf, millions of Americans and the Intelligence Committee over Trump being certified. She’s delusional… Lee does not speak for millions of Americans or the intelligence community. Biden cut her off and gaveled her out of order. She was also booed loudly. Such drama from leftist losers. But, oh so entertaining. And may I just say using the term ‘intelligence’ in the same paragraph as the name Barbara Lee is an oxymoron. Just sayin’.

From The Daily Caller:

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan couldn’t hide his smile when Vice President Joe Biden repeatedly told protesting Democrats to sit down and shut up.

A joint session of Congress met Friday to certify the Electoral College votes cast during the 2016 presidential race.

“Mr. President, I object on behalf of the millions of Americans, including members of the intelligence committee,” Rep. Barbara Lee said before Biden cut her off and she was drowned out by boos.

“There is no debate. Debate is prohibited,” he said. “Objection cannot be received.”

Ryan can be seen smiling throughout the protests.

“Mr. President, I object to the votes from the state of Wisconsin, which should not be legally certified,” Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee insisted.

“Please come to order,” a visibly frustrated Biden said.

Jackson Lee then tried to bring up “the Russian intrusion,” and was again silenced.

Ryan finally lost it and started laughing when Rep. Maxine Waters stood up and asked, “is there one United States senator who would join me in this letter?”

Biden kept pointing out that there was no debate and the objection could not be received. And you have Ryan smiling and smiling. Then here comes Sheila ‘red’ Jackson Lee objecting, claiming the votes in Wisconsin were not legally certified, when they were. Once again Biden called for order in the chamber. Lee popped up again like a demented Jack-in-the-Box, screeching over the ‘Russian intrusion’. Again, she was found out of order by Biden. That gavel got a real workout yesterday.

Paul Ryan finally just lost it when Maxine ‘Marxist’ Waters stood up and yelled, “Is there one United States senator who would join me in this letter?” Uh no… there wasn’t and she was found out of order and out of her ever freaking mind. Despite all the whining and gnashing of teeth, Trump was indeed certified as President. Let the games continue.

It’s over, so sayeth Joe Biden!!!

Can Conservative Ryan Accept Liberal Trump?

By: Cliff Kincaid | Accuracy in Media

Ryan

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) is standing in the way of a hostile takeover of the Republican Party by liberal Democrat Donald J. Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee for 2016. Ryan told CNN’s Jake Tapper on May 5, “I think conservatives want to know, ‘Does he share our values and our principles on limited government, the proper role of the executive, adherence to the Constitution?’” Trumpresponded by saying, in part, that “I am not ready to support Speaker Ryan’s agenda.”

So what is the Ryan agenda? These are some of the items on that agenda and what Trump has to say about them:

  • Ryan became known as an advocate of reforms of entitlement spending programs that threaten to bankrupt the nation. “If we don’t reform our programs, they’re going to go bankrupt,” Ryan points out. Trump, by contrast, says that he will leave entitlement spending untouched. Indeed, Trump called attention to a liberal campaign attack ad purporting to show Ryan pushing a grandmother off of a cliff. “Remember the wheelchair being pushed over the cliff when you had Ryan chosen as your vice president?” he said to a crowd at a South Carolina rally. “That was the end of the campaign, by the way, when they chose Ryan.”
  • Ryan consistently gets a 100 percent rating from the National Right to Life Committee. Trump, by contrast, said in 1999 that he would not ban partial birth abortion and that, “I’m very pro-choice.” He now claims to be pro-life.
  • “Student debt is now bigger than credit card debt,” Ryan says. “Why don’t we break up the college cartel and let students try different options?” In a 2014 speech and policy document, Ryan proposed giving students more options through accreditation reform that would increase competition and reduce costs. Ryan calls this breaking up the “college cartel.” By contrast, Trump has no “official plan” to deal with college costs, except to somehow reform the federal student loan system, The Daily Caller has reported. The publication Inside Higher Ed says a Trump college education plan is now “emerging” under the guidance of Sam Clovis, the national co-chair and policy director of Trump’s campaign. Clovis is described as a tenured professor of economics at Morningside College, a small private college in Iowa.

GOP Congress Critters would rather watch the USA die than give up Power and extreme Wealth

By: Sher Zieve
Gulag Bound

With ongoing acts of patent lunacy—or the darker reason… collaboration—the Republican-controlled US Congress refuses to remove the cancer eating away at Washington D.C. just as the Democrats have done for decades. Instead, the aforementioned Congress seems to prefer the ultimate demise-for-lack-of-proper-care that will soon be the cause of death. One of the primary reasons used as an excuse is the now cliché false fear of being called a “racist” if they oppose the country’s enslavement of its citizens with replacement of illegal ones and totalitarian leftist policies. Note… at some point almost all politicians become leftists in order to enrich themselves and they begin to view their constituencies as “the great unwashed masses” who are beneath them. They, then, begin to use any inane excuse to draw curious eyes away from what they’re really doing. And, at some point it no longer matters on which side they pretend to be… because it’s the side that solely enriches them.

ryan-obama-unknownsourceAfter passing the “Omnibus” bill—which already includes all sorts of snakes and vermin, including, but not limited to fully funding Planned Parenthood, ObamaCare, and the resettlement of Syrians “refugees” and other thousands of assorted Muslims into our country—our replacements, Speaker of the House and Boehner clone Paul Ryan patted himself on the back for passing another bill in the House which eliminates ObamaCare and defunds Planned Parenthood. Do you remember when Paul Ryan said that he’d wait to pass the omnibus bill until after a new POTUS is elected… then passed it in the middle of the night ala Harry Reid and the rest of the Marxist Dems? I watched the video (see second Source below) and even Ryan seems to have difficulty not laughing (watch his facial expressions) when he states more of his own rather apparent lies.

As I’ve stated multiple times before, the USA is now under a one-party political system that has two heads which attempt to speak opposite messages in order to confuse and better control the proletariat. Our Republic was replaced quite some time ago. In the history of our country this has never been clearer than it is today. Our Founders—including John Adams and George Washington amongst others–warned us about a two-party political system.

Adams said,

There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.

…while Washington followed with (in part),

The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty.

Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind, (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight,) the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.

It serves always to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration. It agitates the Community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.

In my opinion, however, it is not necessarily a political party system that is to blame for our current enormous problems. Rather, it is an electorate that—long ago—left the running of the federal government to the “professional” politicians… so that it could grow unchecked in power, wealth (ours) and scope and eventually encompass and subjugate us all. It is also a citizenry, which in large part, turns up its collective nose and says “I don’t follow or get involved in politics” because it sounds worldly and urbane to do so or—perhaps more likely—because of laziness.

Gadsden-FlagGovernments built upon the concept of liberty, property ownership and the equality of pursuit of individual opportunity (to date only one comes to mind and that is the one now being summarily destroyed) cannot survive unless its citizenship becomes directly involved in its policy implementation. When American citizens did become involved in government, organizations such as Planned Parenthood abortuaries and a Bureau of Land Management gone rogue (and for all intents and purposes is now a mercenary institution reporting to the highest bidder) would not be allowed to exist. These—and other oppressive to the people that are now prevalent—would have been stopped in their tracks before their power became so great.

By now, most of us should be—and I believe are—fully awake to the clear and present dangers which face our country and us. More and more are becoming active. Keep it up, grow you numbers and we might actually be able—with courage and lots of work—be able to pull our country out of the Luciferian Left morass. I don’t, however, believe we can do it with the vast majority of those currently in power. Nothing less than a sea change is required.

We have our work cut out for us. One thing about which we must remain cognizant is the vetting of our own candidates. Vote for honesty in packaging of the candidate/candidates this time. If they are caught in a few or many lies… don’t vote for them. If they have supporters of Islam or other enemies of ours on their team… don’t vote for them. If they have voted one way in Congress and now say they support the opposite side in order to obtain a State’s primary vote… don’t vote for them. We don’t have any time left to support these sorts of candidate shenanigans. No more “business as usual” can be tolerated. Look at what we got the last time with a leftist media unwilling to vet their own candidate Obama.

An_Appeal_to_Heaven_Flag-250wAnother step—and I believe the most important if America USA is to survive in any form at all—is to rededicate this country to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and to return to the principles upon which this country was founded. For those who graduated high school after the 1960s, those principles do not and never did include slavery or suppression. Remember that the “new” Obama-Principles do. We’ve done it in the past and we can do it again. It’s time to take our Stand against tyranny, folks and time to take our country back…now!

And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
–Joshua 10:25

ACTION ALERT: Demand Congress Stop Funding Refugee Resettlement With Our Tax Dollars

In the wake of the horrific terror attacks in San Bernardino and Paris, the FBI said it lacks the funds to stay ahead of the escalating terror threats right here in America.  So why would we want to divert any of our tax dollars, which should be directed to reinforcing our nation’s security and intelligence apparatus to protect our families and our nation, to opening the gates to refugees from terror-supporting nations whom we CAN NOT vet and whose ranks ISIS and other terror organizations target to infiltrate?

This Monday and Tuesday, we must flood the offices of our US Representatives and Senators with calls (US Capitol Switchboard: 202-224-3121) urging them to vigorously oppose Refugee Resettlement Funding contained in the Omnibus Spending Bill that will be voted on by 12-11-15!

Then make 4 more calls to insist the same:

  1. Speaker Paul Ryan/Phone: 202.225.3031
  2. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell/Phone: 202.224.2541
  3. Hal Rogers, Chair, Appropriations Committee/Phone: 202.225.4601
  4. Thad Cochran, Chair, Senate Appropriations /Phone: 202.224.7257

Tell your Members of Congress IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT YOU WANT THEM TO SUSPEND REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT FUNDING IMMEDIATELY.

Read Sen. Jeff Sessions’ statement on this: www.sessions.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/2015/12/sessions-omnibus-expected-to-fund-obama-s-entire-immigration-agenda

US Rep. Candice Miller of MI, Vice Chair of the Homeland Security Committee, said:

“I support Governor Snyder’s decision to suspend efforts to relocate Syrian refugees to Michigan, and have cautioned against the Administration’s decision to increase the number being admitted into the U.S.  …terrorist organizations like ISIS are looking for any and every opportunity to exploit a nation’s hospitality to carry out their barbaric attacks against the innocent. Anyone who says we can adequately and safely vet these refugees is wrong because there is no database in Syria and no way to identify who’s who.

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE OF OUR TIME. If you don’t want unvettable refugees from terror-supporting countries in your neighborhood, you must raise your voices NOW. The immigration industry is a powerful lobby and private resettlement contractors have the authority to send refugees to any town, city, neighborhood or location without public notification and local consent.

Patriots respond harshly to House Freedom Caucus’ support of Paul Ryan

By: Renee Nal
New Zeal

The House Freedom Caucus’ support for Paul Ryan’s “highly-conditional bid for House speaker” has left patriots perplexed, with the vast majority of comments on the announcement posted on Facebook decidedly negative.

“Don’t do it. Just don’t cave now…” said Brooke McGowan, Executive Director of Concerned Christians For America. “Why are you not hearing your supporters and constituents???” lamented conservative talk show host Doc Thompson. “PAUL RYAN is sellout Progressive!” he continued.

As reported at Breitbart, Ryan is a fan of amnesty for illegal immigrants and has even “smeared his own constituents who oppose large-scale immigration, and suggested that their aversion to the Ryan-Rubio ‘New America’ vision is fueled by ‘ignorance.'”

Another commenter summed up the author’s feelings:

You all might trust him, but I sure don’t. His votes are not representative of someone who has any intention of limiting government. Terribly, terribly disappointed. I hope you’ll share the names of the politicians who supported Ryan, and the Constitutional conservatives who didn’t.

Conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham took exception to Ryan’s conditions, tweeting:

It is unclear why the House Freedom Caucus exists if they ultimately bow to the establishment, such as in the case of the devastating opinion of the “supermajority” to “support Paul Ryan’s bid to become the next Speaker of the House,” as posted on Facebook.

Referring vaguely to the wannabe-Boehner replacement as a “policy entrepreneur,” the House Freedom Caucus gave no specifics about what it was that enamors them about Ryan, but noted that Ryan “…has promised to be an ideas-focused Speaker who will advance limited government principles and devolve power to the membership…”

Another commenter said in part: “If the Freedom Caucus caves, who is left for us?…”

Tell the House Freedom Caucus how you feel about it on Twitter and Facebook.

Why Are TPA & TPP Being Referred to as Obamatrade?

By: Nancy Salvato

In an article by Connor Wolf called This Is The Difference Between TPP And TPA (Hint: They Are Not The Same Thing), he explains that these two bills are linked together because Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) is a means to fast track passage of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). I am confused by this line of reasoning because as a stand-alone bill, TPA is intended to provide transparency to all trade negotiations by soliciting public and congressional input throughout the process, however, TPP as a stand-alone bill, is a behemoth and most of the information to which the public has access has been leaked. Furthermore, it was negotiated behind closed doors. According to the verbiage of TPA, if TPP is not negotiated using TPA guidelines, the fast track option is negated. So why do news outlets and a wide range of legislators portray these two bills disingenuously? Bundling the TPA and TPP as one idea called Obamatrade is no different than bundling immigration reform and border security, which are two separate issues. One is about drug cartels and terrorism and the other is about how we manage people who want to immigrate to the United States.

Challenges TPA hopes to remedy throughout the negotiating process and in resulting trade agreements have parallels to challenges facing the US and its allies when agreeing to make war on the foreign stage. While one president may assure allies that US troops will assist in gaining and maintaining freedom, i.e., Iraq, a new administration or congress may change the terms, leaving a foreign country abandoned, with the understanding that the US cannot be relied upon to meet its agreed upon obligations. When negotiating foreign trade agreements, this same realization comes into play when negotiations that took place in good faith are undermined by a new administration or congress that change the terms. TPA hopes to create a set of consistent negotiating objectives when hammering out trade agreements, allowing agreements to transcend administrations and congresses.

The following excerpts from a letter written to President Obama from Sen. Jeff Sessions (R, AL) would alarm any person who understands the division of powers and checks and balances built into our rule of law.         Posted in Exclusive–Sessions to Obama: Why Are You Keeping Obama Trade’s New Global Governance Secret? Sessions explains:

“Under fast-track, Congress transfers its authority to the executive and agrees to give up several of its most basic powers.”

“These concessions include: the power to write legislation, the power to amend legislation, the power to fully consider legislation on the floor, the power to keep debate open until Senate cloture is invoked, and the constitutional requirement that treaties receive a two-thirds vote.”

Understanding that Senators Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Representative Paul Ryan have gotten behind TPA, it would be short sited and irresponsible not to probe further into why they aren’t exposing these violations of our rule of law.

According to The Hill’s Daniel Horowitz in TPA’s ‘Whoa, if true’ moment, Cruz and Ryan have explained, “most of the content of the bill is actually requirements on the executive branch to disclose information to Congress and consult with Congress on the negotiations.” Congress would be informed on the front end, as opposed to debating and making changes to what was already negotiated. This is important because as Cato Institute’s Scott Lincicome and K. William Watson explain in Don’t Drink the Obamatrade Snake Oil:

Although trade agreements provide a mechanism for overcoming political opposition to free trade, they also create new political problems of their own, most of which stem from the inherent conflict in the U.S. Constitution between the power granted to Congress to “regulate commerce with foreign nations” (Article I, Section 8) and that granted to the president to negotiate treaties (Article II, Section 2) and otherwise act as the “face” of U.S. international relations. In short, the executive branch is authorized to negotiate trade agreements that escape much of the legislative sausage-making that goes in Washington, but, consistent with the Constitution, any such deals still require congressional approval—a process that could alter the agreement’s terms via congressional amendments intended to appease influential constituents. The possibility that, after years of negotiations, an unfettered Congress could add last-minute demands to an FTA (or eliminate its biggest benefits) discourages all but the most eager U.S. trading partners to sign on to any such deal.

TPA, also known as “fast track,” was designed to fix this problem. TPA is an arrangement between the U.S. executive and legislative branches, under which Congress agrees to hold a timely, up-or-down vote (i.e., no amendments) on future trade agreements in exchange for the president agreeing to follow certain negotiating objectives set by Congress and to consult with the legislative branch before, during, and after FTA negotiations. In essence, Congress agrees to streamline the approval process as long as the president negotiates agreements that it likes.

For a really good argument for fast tracking, watch the video that can be found here:

Here’s why the TPP is such a big deal 03:24

K. William Watson explains in What’s Really in the New Trade Promotion Authority Bill? TPA will actually bring more transparency to the negotiating process:

The current bill would require the administration to provide public summaries of its negotiating positions. This will give the public something concrete to debate without having to resort to conspiracy claims or wild theories. It will also help everyone see more clearly how negotiators intend to implement the negotiating objectives of TPA.

It will also require that every member of Congress has access to the full text of the negotiations from beginning to end.

If TPA actually does what it is intended, a bill like TPP could not possibly be held to an up or down vote because it would not have been negotiated using the processes as outlined. Or could it? This administration passed Obamacare, which is a tax; they wanted comprehensive immigration reform and secure borders yet they openly courted Latin American countries to bring their kids to the border; they said they’d be the most transparent administration but there has been a dramatic lack of transparency, one must pass the bill before knowing what’s in it.

Perhaps what it all boils down to is what Rick Helfenbein writes about in Trade promotion authority, a Washington drama:

There are other conservatives like Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.) who remain adamantly opposed to giving the president (presumed) additional authority. Jones said of Obama and TPA: “Given his record, I am astonished that some of my colleagues are so eager to fork over even more of their constitutional authority to the [p]resident for him to abuse.”

While this article addresses the issue of TPA, it doesn’t begin to address the arguments against TPP, for example The Guardian’s C. Robert Gibson and Taylor Channing’s conclusion that, “Fast-tracking the TPP, meaning its passage through Congress without having its contents available for debate or amendments, was only possible after lots of corporate money exchanged hands with senators.” That is an article for another day.
