Patriots vs. Commies: Berkeley Turns Into a War Zone [VIDEO]

Things got frisky in Berkeley, California Saturday when Antifa leftists and Trump supporters faced off. I believe this is only going to get worse over time and spread. The police basically stood back and did nothing. Both sides got their violence on and it was not pretty. One Trump supporter punched a female leftist in the face. He didn’t hold back either… wonder if he realizes he could have killed her. The Antifa thugs wore coverings over their faces and many were in fact bought and paid for by the radical left. Most are college students who have been taught over and over that Marxists are above others and are morally superior to those on the right.

At least 20 were arrested in the violent standoffs, but not until they had their fun. Berkeley was a war zone this weekend. 11 people were injured, including one officer who inhaled some variant of tear gas. There were hundreds of protesters in the streets and many were armed with one form of weapon or another. The Trump supporters wore helmets and came prepared this time. Police are saying there will be more arrests once they review video and social media of the event. There’s a lot of it out there too. Most officers donned gas masks because of tear gas. Fireworks were thrown into the mass of people and police said that pepper spray was used in the crowd.

BERKELEY (KRON) — Twenty people are in custody and 11 people were injured after an enormous group of pro and anti-Trump demonstrators clashed in Berkeley.

Hundreds of President Trump supporters and anti-Trump protesters held dual demonstrations Saturday near the downtown area at 2151 Martin Luther King Jr. Way.

Police expect to make more arrests once they review video and social media evidence.

KRON4 had a team of reporters at Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park, where fights broke out and gas was released on the crowd earlier in the morning.

Those arrested were booked into Santa Rita Jail, according to police.

Due to the release of gas, officers were forced to wear gas masks.

“A large portion of the crowd has now moved into the street and some fights have broken out,” according to Berkeley police. “Currently, Allston Way between Milvia St. and Martin Luther King Jr. Way is blocked.”

Part of the demonstration crowd moved to Shattuck Avenue and Center Street, and these roads were blocked off.

Officers also said they came across several prohibited items including flagpoles, a knife, a stun gun, helmets and signs, and flags attached to poles. Those items were strictly prohibited and officers had confiscated many of them earlier in the day. The Downtown Berkeley BART station was shut down due to a “civil disturbance,” according to BART officials. When officers were asked about the fights, they said they were not at liberty to discuss their tactics. “Our No. 1 goal is to make sure that our community has an opportunity to practice its First Amendment rights,” police Sgt. Andrew Frankel said. But widely circulated video from the scene Saturday showed many Berkeley police officers standing around doing nothing as people literally beat each other into the ground. Several officers said they were ordered to stand down by the Chief of Police.

Within just a few hours of the protests starting it turned violent as Antifa activists threw rocks, used pepper spray and released tear gas at the Trump supporters. Many of the right-wingers wore head and face gear to protect themselves from the expected onslaught and began chanting “Trust fund commies, off our street!” The Trump supporters did not hold back this time and were yelling for the commies to get out of California. Refreshing.

Trump supporters had organized a Patriot Day rally, starring Lauren Southern, a former reporter for conservative Canadian outlet The Rebel Media and Kyle Chapman, a man who achieved Internet stardom as “Based Stickman” after assaulting a member of Antifa with a stick at the March 4th scuffle in Berkeley, among others. This was not a rally or a protest really… it was an all-out brawl. It was total chaos in the streets. Antifa showed up and started the violence, so this can squarely be laid at their feet. But the right decided to dance for a change and boy did they.

Antifa claims to want to stop fascists, but they are the fascists in reality. Every time they appear en masse in black masks, they’re just encouraging millions of Americans to hate them with a burning passion. And Americans are not going to stand passively by while communists run wild in the streets… not anymore.

Democratic Congressman Lacy Clay Hangs Black Lives Matter Painting In US Capitol

This is beyond offensive. Democratic Missouri Congressman Lacy Clay chose the painting below as part of the United States Congressional Art Competition. The so-called artist is David Pulphus and it is meant to depict the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, where a police office shot Michael Brown. That officer wound up moving and ending his career over this even though he did nothing wrong. Brown charged him and he did what he was trained to do. Black Lives Matter and the left immediately began to push the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot!” lie. That never happened, but tell a lie often enough and you’ll get a good number of useful idiots to believe you.

Pulphus paints the officers as pigs in his artwork. Two of the officers carry guns while protesters march towards them carrying signs that read “history,” “stop killing” and “racism kills.” It’s all kinds of wrong. It’s full of cop-hatred and racism, not to mention pent up violence. And my personal opinion is it just sucks as art. I guess I just don’t get BLM nuance. Pulphus’ artwork won first place in Missouri’s 1st Congressional District, so his painting now hangs in a tunnel between the Capitol building and the Longworth House Office Building. It should be in the trash.

A Missouri congressman has approved a painting that depicts cops as pigs to hang in the U.S. Capitol building.

The painting, done by David Pulphus, shows the unrest in Ferguson, Mo. after a police officer shot Michael Brown, reports the Independent Journal Review.

And the Democratic Congressman who approved the painting? He’s a piece of work himself. Rep. William Lacy Clay, Jr. is supported by the Communist Party USA and the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists. He’s part of the Progressive Caucus and the Black Caucus. Clay is a Marxist and a racist, so it figures he would be all in on this painting. He is a strong supporter of Black Lives Matter as well.

Clay praised the painting as a “colorful landscape of symbolic characters” in a press release. “The painting portrays a colorful landscape of symbolic characters representing social injustice, the tragic events in Ferguson and the lingering elements of inequality in modern American society,” the press release stated. Do tell… so you call cop-hatred colorful? Not everyone shares those sentiments… “Unfortunately, many people of influence have taken part in promoting offensive and inaccurate caricatures of the very people who do the most to protect our families,” Washington GOP Rep. Dave Reichert, a former police officer, told the Independent Journal Review.

A senior Republican congressional aide also blasted the artwork in a scathing statement provided to IJR:

“That a sitting member of Congress thought it was a good idea to honor the depiction of police officers as pigs — in the U.S. Capitol of all places — is reprehensible. I feel incredibly sad that the officers working nearby have to see this on the wall. These officers protect this congressman, his staff, and his office every day, never knowing if it may be their last. Meanwhile, he’s encouraging teenagers in his district to treat police officers as animals. It’s disgusting, and he should be ashamed. This hate masquerading as art needs to be taken down now.”

Naturally, Clay could not be reached for comment. He’s all for others threatening police officers, but when it comes to standing on his convictions, Clay seems to be more missing in action than activist at times. Clay also reportedly called the piece of art the “most creative expression that I’ve witnessed over the last 16 years” during remarks on the House floor.

It’s a massive disgrace that a painting depicting cops as pigs is hung in our Capitol. I’m fairly certain that if President-elect Trump has anything to say about it, that painting will be deep-sixed as it should be.

A gang of “youths” in La Grande Borne, “located in both the communes of Grigny and Viry-Châtillon,” considered to be a “no-go zone” in the southern suburbs of Paris, France, attacked four police officers with Molotov cocktails.

“No, this scene does not take place in Syria,” began the French news outlet Le Figaro (translated), who reported that the attack on police officers was “targeted violence.”

Media Blackout Blue Lives Matter Celebration Event

Saturday, my amazing God-sent team pulled off our first powerful Blue Lives Matter Celebration event. Each celebrity guest spoke masterfully on their topic; educating and dispelling negative myths about our brave men and women in blue.

Radio talk show host Andrea Shea King’s incredible tribute to fallen officers had many wiping away tears. Humorist, AlfonZo Rachel’s rant supportive of cops had the audience in stitches laughing.

Congressman Ron DeSantis spoke expressing his appreciation and support for law enforcement officers. We were presented with a proclamation which concluded, “Now, Therefore, I, Derrick L. Henry, Mayor of the City of Daytona Beach and on behalf of the City Commission do hereby proclaim Saturday, September 10, 2016 as Celebrate “The Blue” Day.”

While I was elated that our event went so well, rich with great musical performances and compelling speeches, I was stunned that not a single media outlet covered the event. We sent numerous press releases and made phone calls to Central Florida radio stations, TV stations and newspapers.

As president of a Central Florida arts center for over a decade, local media routinely responded to every press release I sent from art openings to talent shows and everything in between. Saturday’s Blue Lives Matter Celebration event was newsworthy, the first of a nationwide tour honoring America’s police. The event was extremely educational, entertaining, touching and uplifting, a positive response to those who paint targets on the backs of our courageous law enforcement officers. Why was there clearly a media black out? Not one news reporter showed up folks. Not one.

One has to wonder. How intimidating and entrenched is the evil bogus narrative promoted by the Obama Administration, mainstream media, Hollywood and Black Lives Matter that claims police are our enemies, racist and murder blacks? Why did Central Florida media behave as though our event celebrating police was a leper colony?

To broaden our appeal, someone suggested that I change the focus of my celebration from police to include EMT, firefighters and military. While the suggestion sounded reasonable, it did not connect with my spirit; not in sync with what I felt God led me to do. Still, I ran the suggestion pass one of the powerful orators who spoke at the event, Detective Peter Hernandez.

Detective Hernandez said he would really appreciate me keeping the focus of my celebration on cops. He said civilians do not understand what they go through. When EMT shows up, they are there to attend to someone’s medical needs. Firefighters show up to save someone’s home from burning down; greeted with appreciation. Routinely when police arrive, people are behaving at their worst. Cops are greeted with hostility, danger and extreme scrutiny. Detective Hernandez was not whining or complaining. He was merely explaining why our support and encouragement is so sorely needed.

“Thank you again Mr Marcus for putting on a great and very supportive event. Thank you for also giving me the opportunity to get the word out about the Wounded Officers Initiative. The program’s we are working on will save lives, families, and help law enforcement like no other organization has done before.

It’s really sad to speak about an event to honor law enforcement as being controversial. An event to honor law enforcement should be viral, proudly proclaimed, and most importantly celebrated. Law Enforcement Officers provide the safety and security for all other first responders to operate. Law enforcement are the ones that secure the scenes that provide the fire departments safety so they could extinguish a fire. It’s law enforcement who is first on the scene of those injured and it is them who render first aid until the paramedics arrive.

In 2012 I wrote this blurb which I thinks best defines what a law enforcement officer is and how they stand out. It’s called,

What am I?

I’m a professional driver who drives at high speeds, avoiding moving obstacles, on an open track. But I don’t have sponsors nor endorsements.

I am an educator, a professor of sorts. I’m suppose to know it all and be capable of teaching everyone no matter their grade level. But I don’t get every weekend, holiday, spring break, Christmas or summer off.

I’m a professional fighter. I’ll fight anyone, anytime, any place. No matter how many, the size, or the skill; I must win every time. But I don’t get a golden belt after my win nor cheering fans.

I’m a therapist, a family counselor, a rehab specialist, and a mental health coordinator. I’m expected to give advice, council a family in crisis, identify an addiction, and diagnose a mental illness in no less than 10 minutes from meeting the person and without the aid of a leather couch.

I’m a paramedic. I’m expected to go into a chaotic scene, triage the casualties, determine the appropriate aid, and administer that aid. I do all this as everyone else who is not hurt runs away.

I’m a firefighter. I’m first on the scene of fires. I have no fire proof clothing nor real firefighting skills or equipment. I run in to save as many lives I can and I do it equipped with pure will and a small extinguisher.

I’m a lawyer. I must know all the laws both civil and criminal. I must know the elements to those laws and how to rapidly apply them. I must attend court, truthfully testify, present evidence, and do it on my day off.

I’m a robot. Do without question. Feel without showing. Endure what others can’t. Be fearless while others are in terror. Have skin of steel so that no harsh words, or actions may penetrate.

What am I; I am an American Law Enforcement Officer who answered the call of service for their community. I am the thin blue line that is between those who wish to do evil and those who wish to live in peace. I am the one you run to when you need help but the one you run from when you’ve done wrong. But most importantly I am the one who Cares.”

Dissing our National Anthem: Cool. Honoring Cops: Controversial?

Folks, I just do not know what is going on in our country anymore. A pro-football player was celebrated for refusing to stand for our National Anthem because he says America suppresses blacks. http://trib.in/2bD11YS Meanwhile, other pro-football players were denied their request to honor five police officers assassinated by Black Lives Matter; deemed too controversial. http://bit.ly/2bTnfIV

As for the pro-football player who refused to stand for our National Anthem, he is the product of decades of liberals filling his head with lies about his country via Democrats, public education, mainstream media and Hollywood. There are also ga-zillionaire black celebs, role models, promoting the lie that cops routinely murder blacks and blacks can not catch a break in this racist hellhole called America.

Amazingly, all these liberalism indoctrinated millennial and generation-Xers ignore the huge elephant in America’s living room; a black man elected twice to run our country. Blacks are only 12% of the U.S. population. Therefore, it took mega-millions of white votes to trust a black man with the highest office in the land. Despite obvious evidence proving otherwise, far too many younger Americans still believe the lie that blacks are suppressed and white Americans should feel guilty for being white.

It is truly tragic and down right shameful that liberals have robbed many blacks of appreciating God’s gift of being born American. I am a sixty-something year old black man. I have known from my youth that America is the greatest land of opportunity on the planet for all who choose to go for it. In a nutshell, reject liberal’s you’re-a-victim crap and simply pursue your dreams. This formula works far more times than not.

I am hosting a Blue Lives Matter Celebration event Saturday, September 10th at the Ocean Convention Center in Daytona Beach, FL. Time is 11am -2pm and it is FREE to the public. Y’all come!

Things are coming together wonderfully. Famed jazz singer Lisa Scott will perform our National Anthem. Her hubby JB will perform on trumpet. Country/ Rock singer Stony Sixma will be in the house performing with his guitar. I will croon a few tunes as well. It is going to be a blast.

But folks, I must tell you. It blows my mind that some deem my event honoring our brave men and women in blue controversial. What on earth is happening in our country? Pro football players were celebrated for running out onto the field with their hands up further promoting the lie that Michael Brown was murdered by a cop with his hands up in surrender. Black Lives Matter openly sent out a clarion call to kill whites and cops. Outrageously, Black Lives Matter is celebrated in the mainstream media, honored at the White House and awarded $100 million by the Ford Foundation.

The bizarre reasoning prominent in our country today reminds me of a song we sang in my dad’s east Baltimore storefront church when I was a kid. Sister Davis would start as the congregation joined in, “They’re callin’ wrong right. They’re callin’ right wrong. Surely, we’re livin’ in the last days.”

For the past week, Mary and I have been celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary in beautiful Perdido Key Florida just across the line from Alabama. Thick southern accents abound. We are an interracial couple. From the giant of a man, robust personality good-old-boy boat captain who caught and steamed the crabs he sold us to everyone else we’ve met, Mary and I have experienced warm southern hospitality. I realize our experience is anecdotal. Still, it contradicts liberals’/Democrats’ despicable narrative that Americans, especially southerners, are secret cross-burning racists. It is just plain shameful and evil the way Democrats relentlessly spread victimhood-ism, racial mistrust/hate and division for political gain.

Blue Lives Matter / All Lives Matter

I saw a dolphin this morning. In honor of our 39th wedding anniversary, a patriot couple whom we have never met gave Mary and me the use of their beautiful condo for a week on the water in Perdido Key, Florida. We drove 9 hours to get here. We were here a few years ago and I remember seeing dolphins swimming in one direction in the morning and the other in the evening. We have been here for 3 days and had not seen a single dolphin. I wondered, is it a seasonal thing? Are dolphins not around this time of year?

This morning while listening to Joel Osteen’s sermon on TV, I glanced out the slider and saw a dolphin swimming by. For some inexplicable reason, it filled me will joy. The dolphin swam with such elegance and grace. And then, I saw the second fin. There were two dolphins swimming side by side like a couple. The dolphin couple appeared to glide effortlessly through the water. Peaceful and calm.

Folks, for those of you who do not know, I am hosting a national Blues Lives Matter Celebration event in Daytona Beach, Florida. It will be LIVE streamed over the internet.

Forgive me for seeing the event through a spiritual lens, but that is who I am. God has brought all the right people together to make our celebration great; a much deserved love letter to America’s police.

What inspired me to produce a Blue Lives Matter Celebration event was hearing an interview with author, Heather Mac Donald on Rush’s radio show. Her book is titled, “The War on Cops: How the New Attack on Law and Order Makes Everyone Less Safe”.

Heather exposed cop’s heroic efforts to protect and serve us. Heather said there needs to be a Blue Lives Matter movement.

Well, God led me to move; not to produce a protest rally, but a love letter of appreciation for our heroes; America’s police.

A funny thing has begun happening. More and more people are approaching me about having Blue Lives Matter Celebration events nationwide. A famous comedian buddy is investigating the possibility of he and I together on a Blue Lives Matter bus tour.

Hopefully, we will see dolphins this evening swimming in the other direction. That would be awesome!

Headline: Riots in Milwaukee. “They’re beating every white person!” “Black power!” These extremely disturbing comments are from the audio of the riots aired nationwide. http://bit.ly/2b7uCMA I thought, “Well, Obama, Democrats and mainstream media, are you happy now?

Their relentless spreading and nurturing of the bogus narrative that America is racist and cops routinely murder blacks is responsible for unprecedented assassinations of police, chaos and violence in our streets. For decades democrats have controlled major cities, enslaving blacks on inner city plantations. Democrat overlords filled their black slave’s heads with victim-hood-ism and hatred for whites and America. This is the cause of blacks launching a race war on white America and police. The Democrats’ chickens have come home to roost.

It is truly unfortunate that democrats filling blacks with such negativity has cost them so much, robbing far too many of them of pursuing their full potential. Many moons ago I was a young black man in my mid twenties. I became a born-again Christian and wanted to save the world. I visited youth detention centers and jails to tell them about Jesus. I was struck that so many of those incarcerated were black. I also could not help noticing that many were handsome, bright and even gifted. Their biggest problem holding them back was their negative attitudes. Why try? The white man will stop you and so on. I was politically clueless back then and never tied their hopelessness to democrat/liberal brainwashing.

As Americans, we must come together and counter the Left painting targets on the backs of our nation’s brave men and women in blue.

Saturday, September 10th, I am hosting a Blue Lives Matter Celebration event. National response has been wonderful. Candidly, I had to let it go that some politicians and local law enforcement have backed away; not wanting anything to do with such an event.

Think about that folks. Some Americans are so intimidated, bullied and controlled by evil people that a family event featuring comics, dancers, speakers and singers coming together to celebrate, thank and encourage America’s police is too scary to be a part of. Lord help us. Every-time we shy away from doing the right thing for fear of angering bad people, we embolden them.

I have reached out to several national celebrities to participate. I will announce them as they confirm. Tea Party Express has signed on to help.

This quote by Edmund Burke is probably overused, but so appropriate. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Folks, the Left’s slander of our nation’s police is pure evil from the pit of hell.

Please, please help to pull-off this extremely important event. I prayerfully hope it will spark many more nationwide. At minimum, I need about $10,000. The Ocean Convention Center costs $2000. The production company providing lighting, video, camera with tech, two huge video projection screens and sound system costs $6000. We have to provide light-fare food for the cast and crew. There are other miscellaneous expenses. I am seeking volunteers, but I must provide transportation getting guests to and from the airport. Thus, I need around ten grand to make this event happen.

In light of the epidemic of assassinations of police, Lloyd Marcus is producing a Blue Lives Matter Celebration: Honoring America’s Police – Our Brave Men and Women in Blue.

It will be a fun, upbeat and inspiring family event. Marcus has invited national celebrity speakers and entertainers.

“Candidly, when I decided to produce a Blue Lives Matter Celebration event, I was angry. I was angry over the evil bogus narrative promoted by the Left that has caused assassinations of police across America. Do not get me wrong. I am not apologizing for my anger. Decent people should get angry when evil prospers. It is called a righteous anger. Jesus got angry at the money-changers who disrespected the temple.

However, the further I got into planning the celebration, I began to feel that the event should be a love letter to America’s cops. I realize that sounds a bit corny and touchy-feely. And yet, that is the tone that I believe the rally should embrace. My Blue Lives Matter Celebration will be a fun, uplifting and inspiring event for the entire family.

God willing, I pray that the event will bless and encourage police who lay it all on the line for us every day. I also pray that this event inspires the public to support and appreciate our brave men and women in blue.”

Confirmed guests thus far include:

  • Invocation by Rev. Jean Claude Morin/ Volusia International Bible Fellowship.
  • Radio talk show host Andrea Shea King will present a beautiful tribute to recently assassinated officers.
  • Former NY cop and author, Joe Sanchez will speak at the rally. The New York Daily News named Joe “Super Cop” and the “Arrest Machine”.
  • Mychal Massie, Chairman and founder of The Racial Policy Center will speak at the rally.
  • Famous Alfonzo Rachel can not attend live, but is sending his message on video.
  • Tea Party Express has signed on to help.
  • Famed Political Commentator Wild Bill For America will speak.

A Black Guy Producing a Blue Lives Matter Rally?

Folks, I am sick of being told by people on our side to walk-on-eggshells when pushing back against Leftist activist’s super aggressive attacks on our traditions, values and heroes. Consequently, we continue to allow Leftists to demonize good guys and urinate on everything Americans have held dear for decades. Whenever we say no to Leftist’s attacks on our culture, the mainstream media runs to attack us with the Left’s red-hot branding iron. They burn an “H” in the middle of your forehead, marking you a hater.

Case in point: The horrific epidemic of assassinations of police caused by Black Lives Matter have inspired me to produce a Blue Lives Matter Rally: Honoring America’s Police – our brave men and women in blue. Can you believe that Leftists say celebrating our police is hateful? A few fearful conservatives have told me they want nothing to do with my rally. This is yet another example of how far we have fallen, allowing ourselves to be intimidated and controlled by evil.

You are probably as sick of hearing me state the following truth as I am sick of having to say it. Black Lives Matter was founded on a lie. Their lie says Michael Brown was murdered by a racist white cop while Michael had his hands up, pleading with the officer not to shoot him. The truth is Michael Brown was a 6 foot, 300 pound criminal. Brown was shot while attacking Officer Wilson inside his patrol car attempting to take his gun. http://nyp.st/YvkEeT

And yet, Obama, mainstream media, Hollywood and the Democrat party, all continue to do their part to promote the “hands up, don’t shoot” lie. Despite Black Lives Matter boldly declaring it open season on killing whites and police http://bit.ly/2aDASII, Obama honored the hate group at the White House. The Democrat National Convention featured Michael Brown’s mom as a speaker, in essence, sending out a clarion call to young blacks across America to keep ambushing and assassinating cops. http://bit.ly/29Sr3WZ

Meanwhile, some conservatives caution me not to produce an uplifting family event honoring cops because Leftists will deem the event hateful. It’s a crazy world we are living in folks.

Folks, I realize that bad cops exist, just as there are bad apples in every profession. For crying out loud, Jesus had 12 disciples and one of them was a fraud; Judas. Stats confirm that most cops are good guys daily laying their lives on the line to protect and defend us.

This experience I had as a black youth involving white cops bears repeating.

It was the 1970s. My black cousin had a nervous breakdown. His wife called me to their home. My 6 foot, over 200 pound, cousin held his two toddler sons hostage in his basement. He was an emotional wreck, crying while threatening to murder his boys and himself.

Two white Baltimore cops arrived first on the scene. One officer was young and energetic. The other was older, much slower and obese. The veteran cop struggled up the 8 front steps and hobbled into their row house to the basement doorway. After catching his breath, with wisdom and compassion, the cop reasoned with my cousin. “C’mon son, I know how you feel. But you do not want to do this.” Remarkably, my cousin surrendered to the fatherly cop. He did not spend a long time, if any time, in jail. My cousin is alive and well today.

“But no Lloyd, having a rally honoring cops may anger Black Lives Matter. The media will spin it as a hate event.” Folks, we must counter evil with good.

I have booked the Ocean Convention Center in Daytona Beach Florida for a Blue Lives Matter Rally to honor America’s police, our brave men and women in blue. The date is Saturday, September 10th. The time is 11am to 2pm.

I hope to book Heather Mac Donald to speak and numerous other celebrities. Celebs who cannot physically attend will send their message on video. I plan to do a brief tribute to each officer who has been assassinated by BLM thugs.

I originally planned to have a black choir sing. My black conservative buddy from Racial Policy Center, Mychal Massie scolded me. “Don’t have a black choir. We have enough division. Have a choir of all Americans.” I like that.

It is going to be a great, fun, and uplifting event for the entire family. Hopefully, my buddy from Tim Allen’s Home Improvement TV sitcom, Jimmy Labriola, can come and do his hilarious stand-up act.

I have also asked Victoria Jackson from Saturday Night Live to participate.
