There comes a time in every person’s life where they have to decide what they stand for and what they believe in. What is the line that you just won’t cross, no matter the consequence? Many people never consider that question until they are forced to. For Christians, it is an easy choice. They answer to a higher power than the government or the courts. For Kim Davis, that day came a while back when she was asked to issue marriage licenses for gay couples. The Supreme Court just recently trashed the Constitution and in a move that violated First Amendment freedom of religion, they gave gay couples the right to marry and mandated that all observe that as the law of the land. Kim Davis said firmly, “I will not comply.” Then she stood her ground amid death threats through email, phone calls and social media. She also faces the very real possibility of financial penalties and imprisonment. People are also threatening to burn down her home and rape her on her front lawn. All because she won’t violate her Christian beliefs.
As a County Clerk, Kim Davis has now stated she will continue to deny marriage licenses to gay couples. She says she’s doing so “under God’s authority.” She came out of her office this morning after several gay couples were denied marriage licenses. She asked David Moore and David Ermold, who’ve been rejected four times, to leave. They refused, surrounded by reporters and cameras. There was a tense confrontation while the media gobbled it up.
Ermold said: “We’re not leaving until we have a license.” Davis responded: “Then you’re going to have a long day.”
There was a group in the back of the room cheering Davis on shouting, “Praise the Lord!” and “Stand your ground!” Others screeched that Davis is a bigot and told her: “Do your job!” “The Supreme Court denied your stay,” one of the men told Davis. “I pay your salary! I pay you to discriminate against me right now.” Then they dared her to call the police on them.
I understand the police eventually removed everyone and Kim retired to her office and closed the blinds. This must break her heart. The media made a big deal of the gay couples being teary and red-eyed. They also claimed to be shaking. What manipulative wusses. “It’s just too hard right now,” one gay man said, choking back tears and holding hands with his fiance as they rushed to their car. I don’t believe them at all, they were reveling in the spotlight. I also don’t feel sorry for these people. They could have gone elsewhere for a marriage license – this was to make a point. It’s the gay militaristic persecution of Christians and it is being condoned by the federal government.
Davis’ attorney is standing by her, defending her continued refusal to grant same-sex marriage licenses. A judge today ordered that Davis comply and issue those licenses or appear in her court and tell her why she should not be held in contempt. Her attorney has a couple of solutions he is suggesting to the state of Kentucky. One option would be to allow the Chief Executive of Rowan County to grant licenses. He is willing to do so. Or Davis’ name could simply be removed from the licenses, as it now appears on each one. “She is licensing something with her name on it that licenses something that is a sin and not an appropriate relationship in her Judeo-Christian beliefs,” the attorney said. To implement either of these options, the governor of Kentucky would need to step in.
Davis has issued a statement that she was elected to her office and she is honored to serve as clerk. She has no plans to step down. “In addition to my desire to serve the people of Rowan County, I owe my life to Jesus Christ who loves me and gave His life for me,” she said. “Following the death of my godly mother-in-law over four years ago, I went to church to fulfill her dying wish. There I heard a message of grace and forgiveness and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ.” Davis continued, “I am not perfect. No one is. But I am forgiven and I love my Lord and must be obedient to Him and to the Word of God.”
Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would become the center of such national controversy. You see, I don’t think the state of Kentucky will accommodate her or stand by her. And nothing short of her being impeached and removed or signing those licenses will appease those standing against her. They want their pound of flesh and to make an example of Kim Davis. They want to send a resounding message to America that you have no choice as a person of faith… you must comply and kneel before the State or else.
“It is not a light issue for me. It is a Heaven or Hell decision. For me it is a decision of obedience. I have no animosity toward anyone and harbor no ill will,” Davis said. “To me this has never been a gay or lesbian issue. It is about marriage and God’s Word. It is a matter of religious liberty, which is protected under the First Amendment, the Kentucky Constitution, and in the Kentucky Religious Freedom Restoration Act.” Kim then refused once again to violate her conscience and her beliefs.
A contempt hearing has now been scheduled for this Thursday at 11 am. The plaintiffs don’t want her thrown in jail. I guess they fear her becoming a martyr. They want heavy financial penalties imposed instead. She can’t be fired… she would have to be impeached. There is an option for recall, but what do you want to bet if the election were held again today, she would be reelected? There are more steadfast Christians than they think out there. Davis’ latest refusal comes just one day after the Supreme Court declined to intervene in her case.
Davis was elected last November as a Democrat, succeeding her mother in the office she had held for 37 years, according to the Morehead News. Her staff includes her son.
As this played out today, two opposing groups faced off outside the entrance to the courthouse and exchanged barbs. “At the end of the day, we have to stand before God, which has higher authority than the Supreme Court,” said Randy Smith, leading the group supporting Davis. Ermold and Moore, together for 17 years, cried and swayed as they walked out to chants from the clerk’s supporters. “I feel sad, I feel devastated,” Ermold said. “I feel like I’ve been humiliated on such a national level, I can’t even comprehend it.” Oh, boo hoo.
Davis’ husband came to the office to check on his wife and stand by her side. He defended their faith and said she is “standing for God.” As for himself, he said he believes in the Second Amendment: “I’m an old redneck hillbilly, that’s all I’ve got to say. Don’t come knocking on my door.” Good for him – I like this guy. He pointed to the gay rights protesters gathered on the courthouse lawn and said: “They want us to accept their beliefs and their ways. But they won’t accept our beliefs and our ways.” And that’s the crux of the matter, isn’t it? Religious beliefs are protected by the Constitution… gay rights aren’t, no matter what the Supreme Court says.
Kim Davis will likely go down over all this, but that is a price she is willing to pay for her faith. She won’t be the first American Christian martyr to fall before the federal government and their despotic overreach. She certainly won’t be the last. There is a time and a place for civil disobedience. My fellow Christians, that time is now.
This shocking video describes the imminent threat we face as the State Department moves to secretly bring 65,000 unvetted Syrians to America under Obama’s regime with no local knowledge or control.
The federal Refugee Resettlement (RR) program is operated today by the Global Left, the UN, Islam, and religious frauds. The goal is to Change America by Changing its People.
As a result, we are drowning in refugees who are destroying our Constitutional freedoms, overburdening our welfare system and posing a genuine national security threat.
Will you as an American citizen stand up and fight this national suicide via LEGAL IMMIGRATION?
By signing this petition, you are telling your Governor and state representatives to take specific action to allow City and County Councils to decide if their budgets can support refugee resettlement and if their people want it!
What’s needed is a proviso to your state budget such as this:
No state funds shall be expended to assist in the U.S. Refugee Resettlement Program unless the community targeted for resettlement approves.
Sign the petition if these are your words:
I will not tolerate giving my tax dollars to secretly “planted”, unvetted refugees that would otherwise go to aid poor families in my community.
I demand you do your job by representing the Will of The People rather than the Resettlement industry that may be funding your campaigns.
Once you have signed the petition, check to see your signature among your fellow patriots marked on the interactive map.
Use the social media icons on the petition to share it via email, Twitter, Facebook with your friends and watch the map light up as “Pockets of Resistance” like you fight back.

Thanks to Donald Trump, the major media are being forced to cover the illegal immigration movement, such as the proliferation of “sanctuary cities” across the U.S. that attract criminal aliens, give them legal protection, and let them back out on the streets to commit more crimes. But the really taboo topic is how these sanctuary cities grew out of a movement started by the Catholic Church and other churches.
Over 200 cities, counties and states provide safe-haven to illegal aliens as sanctuary cities, the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) reports. What has not yet been reported is that the Catholic Church, which gave President Obama his start in “community organizing” in Chicago, has been promoting the sanctuary movement for more than two decades.
What’s more, in April, a delegation of U.S. Catholic bishops staged a church service along the U.S.-Mexico border and distributed Communion through the border fence. At the same time, Pope Francis said a “racist and xenophobic” attitude was keeping immigrants out of the United States.
No wonder the pope’s approval ratings have been falling in the United States. Overall, Gallup reports that it’s now at 59 percent, down from 76 percent in early 2014. Among conservatives, it’s fallen from 72 percent approval to 45 percent (a drop of 27 points).
“Few people are aware that this extreme left branch of the Catholic Church played a large part in birthing the sanctuary movement,” says James Simpson, author of the new book, The Red-Green Axis: Refugees, Immigration and the Agenda to Erase America.
Simpson says Catholic Charities, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, and its grant-making arm, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, are prominent elements of the open borders movement.
The sanctuary movement has its roots in the attempted communist takeover of Latin America.
With the support of elements of the Roman Catholic Church, the Communist Sandinistas had taken power in Nicaragua in 1979. At the time, communist terrorists known as the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN) were threatening a violent takeover of neighboring El Salvador. President Ronald Reagan’s policies of overt and covert aid for the Nicaraguan freedom fighters, known as the Contras, forced the defeat of the Sandinistas, leaving the FMLN in disarray. In 1983, Reagan ordered the liberation of Grenada, an island in the Caribbean, from communist thugs.
Groups like the Marxist-oriented Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) were promoting the sanctuary movement for the purpose of facilitating the entry into the U.S. of illegal aliens who were supposedly being repressed by pro-American governments and movements in the region. The U.S. Catholic Bishops openly supported the sanctuary movement, even issuing a statement in 1985 denouncing the criminal indictments of those caught smuggling illegal aliens and violating the law. Section 274 of the Immigration and Nationality Act prohibits the transportation or harboring of illegal aliens.
Two Roman Catholic priests and three nuns were among those under indictment in one case on 71 counts of conspiracy to smuggle illegal aliens into the United States. One of the Catholic priests indicted in the scheme was Father Ramon Dagoberto Quinones, a Mexican citizen. He was among those convicted of conspiracy in the case.
Through the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, an arm of the Bishops, the church has funded Casa de Maryland, an illegal alien support group which was behind the May 1, 2010, “May Day” rally in Washington, D.C. in favor of “immigrant rights.” Photographs taken by this writer showed Mexican immigrants wearing Che Guevara T-shirts, and Spanish-language communist books and literature being provided to rally participants.
An academic paper, “The Acme of the Catholic Left: Catholic Activists in the US Sanctuary Movement, 1982-1992,” states that lay Catholics and Catholic religious figures were “active participants” in the network protecting illegals. The paper said, “Near the peak of national participation in August 1988, of an estimated 464 sanctuaries around the country, 78 were Catholic communities—the largest number provided by any single denomination.”
A “New Sanctuary Movement” emerged in 2007, with goals similar to the old group. In May, the far-left Nation magazine ran a glowing profile of this new movement, saying it was “revived” by many of the same “communities of faith” and churches behind it in the 1980s.
One group that worked to find churches that would provide sanctuary to immigrants in fear of deportation is called Interfaith Worker Justice, led by Kim Bobo, who was quoted by PBS in 2007 as saying, “We believe what we are doing is really calling forth a higher law, which is really God’s law, of caring for the immigrant.”
But conservative Catholic Michael Hichborn of the Lepanto Institute says Interfaith Worker Justice is run by “committed Marxist socialists,” and that Bobo is “highly active and involved with the Democratic Socialists of America,” a group which backed Obama’s political career.

Slater took the opportunity to survey the attendees, asking them questions such as, “What percentage of the male population do you think is gay?” He received a wide variety of answers, the lowest being 28% and the highest, 70%
Using statistics from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Slater surprised virtually every person he encountered telling them the CDC says 1.8% of males are gay.
The radio talker also played a little game with the attendees called, “Which Bigot Said It?”
On a white board, Slater had photos of Donald Trump, Rick Santorum, Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin.
He also posted the following four quotes about gay marriage.
- “Marriage has got historic, religious and moral content that goes back to the beginning of time.”
- “I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage.”
- “I think marriage is as a marriage has always been, between a man and a woman.”
- “For me as a Christian, it is also a sacred union. God’s in the mix.”
Slater read the quotes and asked the gay pride parade supporters, “Which bigot said it?”
After they made their guesses, it was revealed the quotes came from Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Great Lakes state residents and lawmakers are reacting angrily to an undercover video shot by citizen journalists affiliated with the Center for Medical Progress. The 8-minute videotape features Dr. Deborah Nucatola seeming to affirm that Planned Parenthood (Nucatola’s employer), the reproductive rights organization, participates in the illegal trafficking of aborted fetal body parts and tissue for scientific research.
Paul Chatfield, the brother of state representative Lee Chatfield, R-Levering, took to the streets of Petoskey, Michigan in protest this past weekend. About sixty people joined his demonstation, which was held outside the offices of Planned Parenthood of Northern Michigan. Most protestors bore signs, like “Life – the first Inalienable Right.”
Chatfield, who describes himself as a college student with a conscience, said that his initial response to news about the shocking disclosures on the videotape was a flip one.
“I thought it was a joke. We’re not that bad,” he said.
But when Chatfield heard the comments made by Nucatola – who quotes a price of $30-$100 per part to a pair of actors pretending to be representatives of a human biologics company – he realized it wasn’t the stuff of science fiction.
“We’re that bad!” exclaimed Chatfield.
“[The comments on the video] go against everything America stands for,” complained George Horniman of the Emmet County Right to Life organization.
The non-profit, which was the branchild of Margaret Sanger and is controversial for its abortion counseling services, has received federal dollars since 1970. Planned Parenthood’s Annual Report for 2012-2013 reports that the group was awarded over $540 million in government grants for FY 2013.
“It is sad that the government keeps funding Planned Parenthood,” noted Rachel Evans a 22-year-old woman who is pregnant with her first child (whose mother is pregnant with her 11th child), who heard about Chatfield’s protest via local talk radio.
Mitten state lawmakers have also weighed in on the videotape controversy without mincing words. State Senator Phil Pavlov, R-St.Clair issued a press release: “I am calling on the Michigan departments of Health and Human Services and Licensing and Regulatory Affairs to launch formal investigations into Planned Parenthood affiliates across Michigan to determine whether or not any Michigan-based facilities have participated in the horrifying sale of babies’ body parts.”
“We must make sure this is not happening in Michigan, and that if it has, those responsible are brought to justice,” added Pavlov.
Congressman Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, chair of the U.S. House panel on Energy and Commerce, has promised to investigate the claims made by Planned Parenthood’s Nucatola, describing the video as “abhorrent.”
Paul Chatfield injected a spiritual perspective into an already heated debate.
“Government should reflect God’s laws; this is in direct defiance of the Bible,” he said.

The gay population is only 2%. http://bit.ly/1faCE6v Rush said despite their 2% number, they are succeeding in everything they want. He said the majority is just sitting idly by letting it happen. Rush asked his audience of millions, why? “Why is there no uprising against it…why is there no uprising in support of these businesses being shut down?”
An evangelical minister called into Rush’s radio program with an answer. He explained that Christians realize they are engaged in a spiritual battle. He said the reason why Rush is not seeing outward protests is because Christians are fighting back by praying about the Left’s attacks, bullying Christians and forcing its agenda on all Americans.
Folks, timely divine interventions have made me a huge believer in the power of prayer, but I believe God expects us to do our part. The Bible says, “Faith without works is dead.”
Imagine praying for God to give you a job. You do not educate yourself, send out resumes or respond to want ads. You just sit there in your room praying, expecting God to send you a job.
Christian bakery owners Aaron and Melissa Klein are being persecuted for standing up for their right of the “free exercise of religion.” Oregon state official Brad Avakian threw the Kleins Constitutional rights out the window.
Avakian decreed that the Kleins can publicly speak about the case, but he implemented a gag order preventing the Kleins from publicly expressing their view of marriage.
Can you believe that folks? What country does this guy think we live in? Aaron Klein disobeyed Avakian’s outrageous unconstitutional decree. Aaron said publicly that he believes marriage is between one man and one woman. http://bit.ly/1K9kxZv
Allow me to clarify an important point. It is being spun that the Kleins refuse to serve homosexuals. Not true. The lesbian plaintiff is a longtime customer of the Klein’s bakery. When asked to bake a cake for her wedding to a woman, the Klein’s had to decline to remain true to their religious conscience.
Brad Avakian is Oregon’s Bureau of Labor & Industries Commissioner who has decreed that for not betraying their Christian faith, Aaron and Melisa Klein must pay a lesbian couple $135k in damages. Folks, check out this kangaroo court list of alleged damages – “acute loss of confidence,” “high blood pressure,” “migraine headaches,” “pale and sick at home after work,” “resumption of smoke habit,” “weight gain,” and “worry.” No folks, this is not the script of a SNL or Comedy Central skit. This absurd list of alleged damages is real. http://fxn.ws/1D1r17x
Though the minister reported that Christians are praying about the Left’s bullying rather than outwardly protesting, I suspect another reason for Christians’ silence is intimidation. A tactic of the Left is to brand all opposition hate which sends many running to the tall grass in fear.
For example, I proposed patriots coming to Oregon for a rally expressing massive support of the Kleins. Numerous “smart people” cautioned me not to do such a rally because the Left will call it a hate rally.
Okay, so we should allow Christians/Americans to be bullied because the evil bias mainstream media, Democrats and other Leftists will gang up on us and call us names?
Folks, in case you have not noticed, this Leftist invasive army marching across our country occupying everything in sight has gotten out of hand. For crying out loud, the Left wants to ban the term, “husband and wife”. http://bit.ly/1I5PEYg
Lincoln Nebraska schools will no longer refer to the kids as boys and girls because it is not gender inclusive. They must be called “purple penguins.” http://fxn.ws/1HiJ9LS
Leftist media are publishing articles claiming that homosexual marriage is superior to heterosexual. http://politi.co/1dQS1Ql
A Leftist article says homosexuals are superior parents. http://bit.ly/1JUNcnG
A shocking video exposed that Planned Parenthood is harvesting and selling aborted baby body parts. While sipping red wine and eating a salad, an abortion doctor was caught cavalierly explaining how they are careful not to crush the most prized body parts. She, disrespectful of human life, mentioned recently doing a “17 week-er” (aborted a 17 week old baby). Disturbed by her callousness, Dr Ben Carson said at 17 weeks a baby is responsive to its environment. Shamefully, the Left rallied to defend the stone-cold abortionist while demonizing the people who exposed the evil scandal. http://bit.ly/1HybJeu Dr Carson said it is tragic that opposition to a woman killing her baby is deemed (by Leftists) hate for women.
We are fast approaching the day when Christian ministers who preach the Bible will be arrested. http://bit.ly/1gDP9s5
Pushing back against the Left’s tyrannical evil is not easy and could cost you everything.
For the past week or so, this little chorus keeps popping up in my brain. “I have decided to follow Jesus. I have decided to follow Jesus. I have decided to follow Jesus. No turning back. No turning back.”
The Pope Offers the Masses the Opium of Marxism.
Do US Catholics love America enough to actively reject Pope Francis’ Liberation Theology before his historic visit to America this fall?
The speech by Francis to a joint session of Congress could be akin to listening to Reverend Jeremiah Wright preaching social justice and condemning “G-d Damn America.”
