Jim Schiebel

The Chair of a far left Democratic Party Political Action Committee, the 21st Century Democrats, has issued a statement attempting to lay blame for the recent tragic killings at the feet of Sarah Palin.

Though he admits he doesn’t know what happened, Jim Schiebel knows who set the stage:

Why did he shoot Rep Giffords?

We don’t know yet.

But we do know that she seems to be surviving this outrageous attempted murder. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, however, was only one victim of this shocking attack, she along with eighteen others were wounded while six others were killed. The details of what happened are just now becoming available, but we are united in our grief and disbelief over these unfolding events. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this senseless act of violence.

We also know that Sarah Palin and Rep. Giffords’ opponent used violent imagery last year urging her opponents to “target” her. Last spring, after she voted to expand health insurance coverage to working families and cut drug costs for senior citizens her office was violently attacked.

Who is Jim Schiebel?

It turns out that Mr. Scheibel is a former “community organizer,” Vietnam War conscientious objector, Clinton Administration VISTA and the Senior Corps director and former Mayor of St. Paul, Minnesota.

More than that, according to Democratic Left, January 1990, comrade Scheibel was a paid up member of the Marxist Democratic Socialists of America.

What is 21st Century Democrats?

One of America’s most influential PACs, 21st Century Democrats has “stood for Progressive causes for over 20 years.”

Founded in 1986 by far left Iowa Senator Tom Harkin, former Texas Agriculture Secretary Jim Hightower (Progressives for Obama), and ultra leftist former Illinois Congressman Lane Evans, 21st Century Democrats has helped elect “progressive politicians such as U.S. Senator Tim Johnson, U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, U.S. Senator Russ Feingold and U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley.”

Its three main goals are to help elect progressive candidates, train young people about grassroots organizing, and lastly, to continue to support our elected officials after Election Day “through our comprehensive progressive network.”

The mission of 21st Century Democrats is to build a “farm team” of progressive populists who will be the future leaders of the Democratic Party.
