Trump: Making Us Proud Shining Abroad

By: Lloyd Marcus

The elegance, wisdom and class President Trump has displayed on his first foreign policy trip continues to baffle political elitists and fake news media. 1 Corinthians 1:27 comes to mind. “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.”

Trump is a man of the people who speaks like a human being. Obama spoke like an arrogant blow hard. He spoke so high above us commoners that it took Leftist professors to explain the brilliance of his oratory.

Am I the only one who has noticed President Trump’s humility ever since taking office. We were told Trump’s legendary ego would be a major stumbling block. But all I have seen is a man who realizes the huge responsibility placed upon his shoulders by We the People. Trump appears laser focused on winning for America.

Obama was rude to Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on several occasions and hostile towards Israel. http://bit.ly/2rErzVo Never have I seen Netanyahu as relaxed and smiley with a U.S. president as he has been with Trump. When Trump spoke at the Israel Museum, his words brought tears to my eyes.

“Israel is a testament to the unbreakable spirit of the Jewish people. From all parts of this great country, one message resounds, and that is the message of hope. Down through the ages, the Jewish people have suffered persecution, oppression, and even those who have sought their destruction. But, through it all, they have endured and, in fact, they have thrived. I stand in awe of the accomplishments of the Jewish people, and I make this promise to you: My administration will always stand with Israel. (Applause.) Thank you very much.”

Regarding Israel, God said, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you, I will curse…” Genesis 12:3

Trump has restored our relationship with Israel. Praise God!

The late Dr Wayne Dyer said, “Nobody knows enough to be a pessimist.” I interpreted his comment to mean there are too many unknown variables in a situation to correctly predict a negative outcome. Over the 8 years of Obama, pessimists faithfully emailed calling me a naive idiot for writing and working to restore my beloved country. They said it was too late and all was lost. Obama and the Left had successfully brought down America from her throne as the world leader. Rather than our tradition of striving to be all one could be, we had become a nation of deadbeats, happy to feed on the breast of big ultra-controlling government.

No one imagined Trump whom political elites and media regarded as the cartoon presidential candidate would win in an electoral landslide; proving pessimists wrong. This is why it is unwise to stop fighting for what is right. Leftists use the Madison Avenue advertising technique of promoting their extreme views as sophisticated and mainstream. They say our patriotic and Christianity rooted views are backwards and racist. In reality, we are the majority and Leftists are the weirdo minority. Trump’s election confirmed this truth.

Signing 90 executive orders in his first 100 days, Trump is swiftly dismantling Obama’s horrific legacy. http://read.bi/2pWWGrF It is as if Obama’s reign of terror was only our shared national nightmare that never really happened. I realize we still have a long way to go to overturn Obama’s mess. But Trump has made remarkable headway.

Grasping at straws to criticize Trump and brand us hypocrites, Leftists ask why aren’t we demanding that Trump use the term “radical Islamic terrorism”, considering we criticized Obama for not using it.

Well, the obvious difference is Obama not only refused to name our enemy, he protected our enemy at every turn. In response to numerous Islamic terrorist attacks on U.S. soil, Obama’s DOJ threatened to jail anyone caught speaking badly about Islam. http://bit.ly/1mxTG1G

We know where Trump stands in regards to Islamic terrorism.

During his speech in what some might call the belly-of-the-beast, Saudi Arabia, Trump challenged Muslims to fight Islamic terrorism. Trump said, “Drive them out. Drive them out of your places of worship. Drive them out of your communities. Drive them out of your holy land and drive them out of this earth.” http://bit.ly/2r1peTT Folks, that is incredibly bold, anointed and God inspired.

I marvel at what this unpretentious common man is achieving on our behalf on foreign soil. As always, I advise you to keep President Donald J. Trump in your prayers.

A Memorial Day Remembrance

By: Kent Engelke | Capitol Securities

As widely expected, OPEC agreed to extend production cuts for another nine months. Oil and oil shares traded lower, perhaps on the “buy on rumor” and “sell on fact” scenario. The market thinks higher prices will lead to greater shale production, a view that the major oil companies do not ascribe to.

Shale production prices are rising for a number of different reasons including the lack of qualified workers and the sharp rise in fracking materials. Moreover, the “majors” have stated shale affects production at the margins and is no substitute for large upstream facilities which have all been but abandoned.

Oil peaked about 3 years ago, tumbled about 75% in about seven months and then doubled in three months. Oil has since traded a tight range of $45-$55 barrel. Will oil now double again as was the case in 2000-01, the result of greater demand and less supply? As noted the other day, today in many regards is analogous to the oil implosion of that era.

Trading is expected to wane throughout the day ahead of the three day Memorial Day holiday. Please remember all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in your thoughts and prayers. It is because of these few that we are able live the incredible life we all are living in a country where we can write or speak anything about our leaders without fear of recrimination. What is even more incredible, we can make these statements regardless of validity.

Thank you to all those families who have sacrificed so much for so many!!

Last night the foreign markets were mixed. London was up 0.01%, Paris was down 0.92% and Frankfurt was down 0.62%. China was up 0.07%, Japan was down 0.65% and Hang Sang was up 0.03%.

The Dow should open nominally lower. The 10-year is up 6/32 to yield 2.24%.

Late-Night Trump Hatred vs. Primetime News

By: Roger Aronoff | Accuracy in Media

The anti-Trump venom from the mainstream media has become so virulent that broadcasters and reporters alike risk becoming little more than extensions of the late-night “comedic” lineup, bashing the President without regard for truth or factual accuracy. And above all, most of these journalists realize, and sometimes admit, that they want to help the Democrats win the next election.

The comparison between late night show hosts and the news media becomes stark when one compares Joy Reid’s new segment on MSNBC, “Flip This House,” to  Bill Maher’s “Flip A District” on HBO in the run-up to the 2014 elections. The goal for both of them was to try to help Democrats win elections, with Maher admitting on his website that he was “outright meddling with the political process.”

“The 2018 midterm elections are still more than a year away, but the Democrats are already hoping to flip this house,” said Reid on her show, telling Democratic candidate Linda Weber, “So we will be paying attention to that race, and we will see if you can flip that House district.”

This comes very close to an endorsement. Has Reid or MSNBC registered as a Super PAC? Isn’t this an example of a corporation, Comcast, making significant donations to a political party?

It has gotten to the point with the news media, such as MSNBC and CNN, that broadcasters air anti-Trump messaging as vitriolic as late night show hosts’ so-called comedy routines. The point is to ridicule, not to report. And if reporting is necessary, the news media print fake news, as John Nolte documented for The Daily Wire in his article, “8 Facts Contradict the MSM’s Serial-Comey Lies.” At this point, it’s hard to distinguish the late-night comedy fake news from the primetime MSNBC or CNN line-up of fake news.

Take, for example, CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who said to Trump defender Jeffrey Lord that if Trump “took a dump on his desk, you would defend him.” Cooper later apologized, but his comment was indicative of the level of discourse that takes place regularly on MSNBC and CNN, when it comes to Trump. Mika Brzezinski questioned Trump’s patriotism. The First Amendment protects all of this speech, but the point is how much hatred and contempt it reveals toward the President and the more than 60 million Americans who voted for him.

Consider the coverage of supposed collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians. In a May 24 NPR piece, “Why the Russia Investigation Matters and Why You Should Care,” the author argues that “Russia is accused, as [former CIA Director John] Brennan said, of not only trying to influence the election by hacking and releasing emails, but engaging in a full-fledged influence campaign through propaganda to get Donald Trump elected.” He continues, “That’s the assessment of 17 U.S. intelligence agencies.”

It is not the assessment of “all 17 intelligence agencies,” but rather the assessment of the CIA, FBI, NSA and the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) only, all four of which were headed up by Obama political appointees. But this oft-repeated soundbite has been used to bolster the left’s passionate attempt to impeach Donald Trump. Former DNI James Clapper testified that “there were only three agencies directly involved in this assessment plus my office.” As we have reported, Clapper told the Senate that “We had no way of gauging the impact that—certainly the intelligence community cannot gauge the impact—it [Russian cyber activities] had on the choices the electorate made.”

But Bill Maher, who frequently talks about Trump voters living in a “fact-free bubble,” was still repeatedly peddling the “all 17 of our intelligence agencies say that” nonsense just last week, with his usual simian smirk. It had been debunked long ago, but Clapper had done so again just days before.

“Former CIA director John Brennan testified before the House Intelligence Committee…that he was not sure if there was any evidence of collusion between the Russian government and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign,” reports Breitbart. This is nearly a year into this phony investigation.

It may be that the mainstream media are loath to “normalize” Trump by reporting on him in an objective and fair manner. I recently pointed out how CBS News’ Bob Schieffer was challenged for possibly “normalizing” Trump because he called Trump’s speech “presidential.” Schieffer justified himself as trying to report objectively.

The left is still apoplectic that Trump won a presidential election that they believe should have been handed to heir apparent Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. Nothing short of impeachment is a sufficient remedy.

Perhaps members of the media, aware of this Trump Derangement Syndrome, are wary of the fate of those who embrace, or even treat fairly, President Trump. For example, Jimmy Fallon, the host of NBC’s Tonight Show, still suffers from the aftereffects of tousling Trump’s hair and giving him what Salon called a “hair-raising softball interview.” “Was this Fox News?!?” screamed the Salon headline.

In contrast, Bill Maher has kept the hate going. When he brought Trump ally Boris Epshteyn on the show, he made a “gentlemen’s” wager that Trump would be “out by Christmas.” He also observed that “It looks like he [Trump] is trying to get impeached.”

CBS’s Stephen Colbert has given similar treatment to the President. “Fortunately, folks, there is a band of heroic go-getters who can lead us out of this dark time,” he said. “Congressional Democrats,” he added, continuing to mock.

“And as Mr. Fallon is well aware, viewers haven’t seen him in quite the same light since an interview he conducted with Mr. Trump in September, which was widely criticized for its fawning, forgiving tone,” reports The New York Times in a recent piece. It quotes Fallon as saying that “They have a right to be mad…If I let anyone down, it hurt my feelings that they didn’t like it. I got it.”

Colbert’s show has edged out Fallon in total viewership for the first time, but Fallon continues to outperform in the key demographic of adults 18 to 49.

What is clear, however, is that anti-Trump reporting boosts ratings. Business Insider reports that Fox fell to third “during primetime in the coveted advertising demographic of 25-54 year-old viewers, the first time it had done so in 17 years…” MSNBC and CNN outperformed Fox.

For the time being, Trump hatred drives ratings. But journalists, having stooped so low as to be indistinguishable from third-rate, hostile, buffoonish comedians like Maher and Colbert, should remember what it is they sacrifice in sullying their integrity in an attempt to cash in on Trump Derangement Syndrome. Certainly some of them are sincere, but others may just be giving the network bosses exactly what they want.

Fed Minutes Were Largely A Non-Event

By: Kent Engelke | Capitol Securities

In my view, there was little surprise in the FOMC Minutes. The Minutes indicate a rate hike may occur as soon as the mid-June meeting however with the caveat that “it would be prudent” to wait for evidence that the recent slowdown in economic activity had been transitory, as has been the case. The Minutes also indicated a plan that would gradually shrink the Fed’s $4.5 trillion balance sheet.

At the time of this writing, Fed fund futures are suggesting a 90% chance of a hike occurring in three weeks. Last week, the odds fell to under 80%, the result of the political turmoil in Washington.

Many times I have commented a major reason for an average annual growth rate of 1.8% since 2001 is the result of virtually nonexistent monetary velocity. As noted, the monetary velocity or the turnover of money is at levels not experienced since 1959.

Excess bank reserves are gargantuan, over $2 trillion versus the historical average of $1 billion.

I will argue that if velocity accelerates, so will growth. The vast majority of the Treasury yield curve now has negative yields, an environment historically associated with inflationary growth.

What are the odds August 2017 will be the inverse of August 2008? At the conclusion of the July 2008 FOMC meeting, the Committee indicated the risks were on the upside. Two weeks later, the Fed reduced the overnight rate, the first time the FOMC took action in between meetings in many years because of the emerging financial crisis.

Most are extrapolating the last 10 years into the next 10 years, stating a 3% annual growth rate is virtually impossible for the intermediate future. As widely noted, from 1945-2001 the economy grew at an average annual growth rate of 3.0%

I reiterate, if monetary velocity accelerates for reasons discussed many times, 3% may be too low of a target. Wishful thinking? Who ever thought President Trump would be regarded as the Hope and Change President as indicated by virtually every sentiment indicator. Such will increase the uncaging of the proverbial Animal Spirits.

Last night the foreign markets were mixed. London was down 0.02%, Paris was down 0.08% and Frankfurt was down 01.6%. China was up 1.43%, Japan was up 0.36% and Hang Sang was up 0.80%.

The Dow should open nominally higher. The 10-year is unchanged at a 2.25% yield.

Special Counsel Mueller Will Get His Man

By: Cliff Kincaid | Accuracy in Media

One of the big problems with the media is that journalists publish so many things that aren’t true, especially when they are writing about people in positions of power whom they want to pursue their liberal agendas.

Consider this statement from a Politico article by Garrett M. Graff about the special counsel investigating Russia-gate: “Robert Mueller might just be America’s straightest arrow—a respected, nonpartisan and fiercely apolitical public servant whose only lifetime motivation has been the search for justice.”

This so-called straight arrow blew the biggest terrorism investigation in the history of the United States—the post-9/11 anthrax mailings which killed five people, and spread terror and panic in the populace.

We knew al-Qaeda carried out the actual 9/11 terrorist attacks. That was an easy one to solve. Al-Qaeda had declared war on the United States and had been broadcasting their intentions to hit the U.S. In a major intelligence failure, our CIA, FBI and other agencies failed to stop the deaths of almost 3,000 people.

But then-FBI director Mueller was also in charge of solving the post-9/11 anthrax attacks. He ignored the abundant evidence of an al-Qaeda role in those, too, because the FBI had picked up the anthrax mailer and let him go. He went on to bring down Flight 587 with a shoe bomb. All of this was just too embarrassing for Mueller to admit. A deliberate cover-up was engineered.

What’s more, FBI director Mueller purged government materials of information that identified the nature of the Islamic terrorist enemy. Judicial Watch has explained how this “disturbing” turn of events occurred. They document that training materials deemed “offensive” to Muslims were purged following secret meetings between Mueller and various Islamic organizations. What’s more, Judicial Watch indicates that Mueller thus became an agent of a broader Islamist “influence operation” aimed at “our government and Constitution.”

So Mueller failed to officially recognize the role of al Qaeda in the post-9/11 anthrax attacks, and then blinded the bureau from recognizing more evidence of Islamic terrorist operations on American soil.

And this is the guy who will get to the bottom of Russia-gate?

Among other things, Mueller fingered an innocent man for the anthrax mailings, and was sued by an FBI agent who led the inquiry. His investigation wasted years on a wild goose chase. Analyst Kenneth J. Dillon says Mueller’s mishandling of the investigation led to the suicide of scientist Bruce Ivins, who was conveniently blamed for the mailings.

“My research on the 2001 anthrax mailings case suggests that Mueller was responsible for the suicide of the alleged but wrongly accused mailer, Bruce Ivins, as well as for the subsequent cover-up. Mueller appears to have lied to a Senate committee about Ivins and destroyed key alibi evidence for him,” Dillon told Accuracy in Media (AIM).

There is no evidence that Ivins actually mailed the letters, and former FBI agent Richard Lambert says the FBI has “a wealth of exculpatory evidence” regarding Ivins. That evidence has conveniently turned up missing for independent investigators like Dillon who are seeking it through Freedom of Information requests. The FBI, he says, has been sitting for more than a year on one request for 16 pages from the official investigation on Ivins.

If we had a functioning democratic system and an honest press, we would have pressure on the FBI to investigate former director Mueller. Instead, Mueller is now in charge of investigating the President of the United States! This is how the “deep state” works.

Appropriately enough, the Politico article is accompanied by a photo of Mueller and his sidekick, former FBI director James Comey. That photo captures the truth about a relationship that makes Mueller’s task as special counsel a supreme conflict of interest that should disqualify him from the task. But Washington insiders remain quiet about the conflict because they want to see Trump go. They know Mueller is a company man who will protect Comey and savage Trump.

Those who say there is no evidence of a crime in Russia-gate miss the whole point. Mueller will produce evidence of a crime out of nothing if he has to. Former national security adviser Michael T. Flynn’s dealings with a Russian TV channel, though conducted out in the open for everyone to see through a speaker’s bureau, could become the basis of some flimsy “obstruction of justice” charges against Trump, his former boss who fired him.

It’s the old familiar “what did he know and when did he know it” routine that can trip up anyone, even a president.

Trump fired Comey for incompetence and frustration over his Russia-gate investigation that goes on and on, with no end in sight. Trump wanted to see it over and the facts to come out. He wanted the intelligence community to verify that evidence of “collusion” was not to be found after many months of fruitless investigation.

Both Democrats and Republicans realized that Comey was not up to the job. But now Democrats (and some Republicans) are gleeful. They know Mueller will protect Comey and get Trump.

Journalists are quiet about Mueller’s atrocious record on Islamic terrorism because they want his special counsel office of ambitious liberal attorneys to leak to them as the inquiry goes forward. Republicans on Capitol Hill are quiet because they know the FBI can destroy them through leaks.

At least under J. Edgar Hoover we had an FBI that investigated America’s enemies. Mueller’s job is to damage and destroy a President elected by the people. His job is to protect his friend, former FBI director Comey, who used a spurious document, the “Trump Dossier,” to conduct an inquiry that has turned up nothing. A former British agent compiled the dossier but the fingerprints of the Russians are all over it.

This document, which guided the FBI investigation, is the ultimate in meddling in America’s elections and democratic system, and the media pretend not to recognize it. Instead, the media repeatedly tell us that the Russians wanted to defeat Hillary.

As we said in a previous column, America’s elected government is hanging in the balance, and the media are cheering on this spectacle. What should the American people conclude if a “special counsel,” with seemingly unlimited resources and power, brings down a President elected by those people?

They should not be blamed for losing faith in the system. They are losing faith now as Washington pursues a phony scandal while the Islamic terrorists strike and kill young innocent teenagers in the heart of the West.

Remember that Americans losing faith in the system was supposed to be one of Russia’s objectives. Ironically, the Russia-gate investigation is designed to do just that. We have a government that can’t investigate itself.

It looks like the plan is to drag out the Mueller probe for a couple of years, so that the Democratic Party can take back the House of Representatives in 2018 and initiate impeachment proceedings against Trump. The Senate won’t convict, but Trump could be forced to step down.

None of this had to happen if America had maintained a free and independent press, willing to subject the FBI to the scrutiny they apply so recklessly and anonymously to Trump.

It is strangely appropriate that FBI apologist Garrett M. Graff wrote a book praising Mueller. He quotes Comey as saying about him, “His gift is that he’s decisive without being impulsive. He’ll sit, listen, ask questions and make a decision. I didn’t realize at the time how rare that is in Washington.”

Comey was described by Graff as having worked for “years” alongside Mueller. Yet Mueller is the straight shooter who will get to the bottom of the mess that Comey found himself in and which necessitated his firing?

How can any objective observer conclude anything other than that Trump is right when he says he is the target of a witch hunt?

It’s a dishonest press, and it’s going to get worse.

So while the special counsel pursues the chimera known as Russia-gate, the Islamic terrorists who killed innocent young girls in Britain now have their sights set on the United States.

Trump’s initiatives to protect the American people from such attacks are tied up in the liberal courts.

But Mueller will get his man!

James Simpson on Manchester: Beyond fed up! Time for talk is OVER!

By: James Simpson | BombThrowers

Goddammit! Beyond fed up! Time for talk is OVER!

God forgive me. I was enjoying a rare respite from my work yesterday, when my senses were suddenly assaulted with the news of yet another terrorist slaughter — this time of at least 22, mostly young people and little children, at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England.

Here we go again!

How many families, how many children, how many brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, mothers, and fathers need to die in senseless mass murders before the political class will see the light? How much horrible loss will we as a people tolerate before we scream “Enough!” and pick up torches and pitchforks and literally drag them out of their homes? Are we ever going to reach the breaking point where the deadly consequences of their policies that we have to face every day will finally percolate into their incomprehensibly dense psyches? Will they ever be compelled to do what is right?

When, oh when, is enough, enough?

I traveled to Los Angeles, California this weekend to attend American Freedom Alliance’s Heroes of Conscience awards dinner for two American heroes: David Horowitz and Philip Haney. Horowitz, a former leftist, heads the David Horowitz Freedom Center, battles for free speech on college campuses and has been a stalwart defender of conservatives and conservative causes for decades. For his efforts, he is routinely threatened, sued, and demonized nationwide by our sick media and political class (including more than a few “conservatives”). Haney is the Department of Homeland Security whistleblower, who was targeted and investigated by the Obama administration for his work as a DHS intelligence analyst exposing Islamic terrorists in the U.S. For his efforts, he was punished by his employer, threatened by nameless others, and vilified in the sick media. He wrote a best-selling book about it, See Something, Say Nothing.

The keynote speaker at this event was Geert Wilders, leader of the Party for Freedom (Partij voor de Vrijheid, or PVV) in the States-General, which is the Dutch parliament. Wilders has spoken out forcefully against the incremental Islamization of Europe and the West. For his troubles he was convicted of “hate speech” in his native Netherlands, has had his life repeatedly threatened, and must travel with a small army of security professionals forever at his side. He’s been shunned by the Dutch political class, despite a strong showing in recent elections that made his party the second-largest in the House of Representatives and is smeared as an “Islamophobe” by the sick Western press everywhere.

Is there an echo in here?

Wilders’s speech carried a powerful message: we must stop bowing to political correctness. We must name the enemy for what it is: Islam. And Wilders emphasizes, it is not “radical Islam,” but plain old Islam. He says that while there are plenty of moderate Muslims, Islam is not moderate. It is not, he notes, merely another religion. It is not even primarily a religion. It is a totalitarian political-military doctrine of conquest. And we ignore this distinction at our mortal peril.

The next day, Muslim terrorists struck again. Following the horrific attack in Manchester, British Prime Minister Theresa May stated:

The images we hold in our minds should not be those of senseless slaughter, but of ordinary men and women who put concerns about their own safety to one side and rushed to help.

But all I could think about was the impossible suffering of those parents who will now have to bury their children.

Reciting what sounded like tedious left-wing pap, the prime minister said there were: “messages of solidarity and hope of all those who opened their homes to the victims.”

Messages of solidarity and hope? Solidarity with or for what? Cleaning up yet another mess? Hope for what? Good weather?

She solemnly predicted:

There will be difficult days ahead. We offer our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of those affected. We offer our full support to the authorities, the emergency and the security services, as they go about their work, and we all, every single one of us, stand with the people of Manchester at this terrible time.

That is so reassuring! And I am sure the good people of Manchester are bubbling over with gratitude to the PM for such nice sentiments.

And today, let us remember those who died, and let us celebrate those who helped, safe in the knowledge that the terrorists will never win, and our values, our country and our way of life will always prevail.

Wait… what? “Safe in the knowledge that the terrorists will never win”?

Safe in the knowledge? Never win? On March 22, five others were killed and 50 wounded when a Muslim terrorist plowed into pedestrians on London’s Westminster Bridge in sight of Parliament. There have been numerous terrorist attacks in Great Britain going back years.

What, pray tell, is the body count that defines the prime minister’s definition of “winning”?

“Our values, our country and our way of life will always prevail”?

When? When is this going to happen? When will our values prevail?

We are surrendering them every day. When will our country prevail, when it is increasingly not our country at all, but a destination for welfare-sucking communities from hundreds of nations, speaking hundreds of languages turning it into a Tower of Babel?

When are we going to see one single action taken to halt this lunacy? Because for my money, these elitist politicians have been surrendering the entire store to our enemies for decades! And now the chickens really are coming home to roost.

Prime Minister May spoke platitudes, nothing but platitudes! And promised nothing but more of the same!

All I could think was:  this is your fault. Yes, you. You, the political class. You, the spineless, politically correct elitists. You the debauched, treasonous media. You the treacherous, hypocritical and destructive Left — who out of countless self-serving motives or simply abject cowardice, have allowed ceaseless immigration of openly hostile, arrogant people, who don’t assimilate, don’t intend to assimilate, and tell us every day, what they intend to do — and then, surprise of all surprises, they do it!

When are you going to face the consequences of your actions? When will you acknowledge your bottomless stupidity? What will it take for the truth to percolate into your empty, pretentious heads?

And I would ask of us, when are we going to force you to do so? Do we literally have to pick up the torches and pitchforks? Be forewarned: there is a tipping point beyond which we will no longer tolerate the intolerable, we will no longer accept being endlessly taxed to support a nation of ungrateful aliens who attempt to murder us in the streets then join the media echo chamber calling us “bigots” and “Islamophobes” when we object.

American Center for Law and Justice chief counsel Jay Sekulow posted a very good piece earlier today titled, “Anyone Want to Argue Against Trump Travel Ban After UK Attack?”

Do they? Let’s ask them.

Donald Trump needs to right now, today, issue another executive order against travel to the United States from those same terrorist-plagued countries that were included in the earlier orders (EO 13769 and EO 13780). Dare the judges to defy him yet again. He also needs to demand an emergency appeal of the prior EOs to the Supreme Court. If newly minted Justice Neil Gorsuch is truly the genuine conservative constitutionalist everyone is claiming, that should settle the issue once and for all rather quickly.

The time for talk is over. The time for mindless platitudes is over! The time for action is way past due. So let’s not waste another second.

The time is NOW.

Protecting and Serving Those Who Protect and Serve

Special to The Noisy Room | CopsDirect.org

In 2010, Aaron Negherbon was contacted by a college buddy who was serving as a Marine Corps Captain in Afghanistan. He was told his friend’s unit had been overrun the night before and they were desperately in need of some basic supplies. Negherbon was asked if he could help.  He pulled together the requested supplies, and shipped them out.  Soon, another request came in. And then another. Negherbon also fulfilled these requests and came to learn something few American’s are aware of.

“I always thought our forward-deployed troops had access to all the supplies they could possibly need to do their jobs and stay safe,” he said from his East Bay, California office. “I was shocked, and a little angry, to realize they didn’t. When I heard that bottle caps were being used to mark IED’s I knew something was seriously wrong.”

With a lifelong respect for our troops and first responders Negherbon decided to act. He quit his lucrative real estate career to launch a first-of-its-kind military charity intended to fill the gap between immediate troop supply needs and an often long and complicated requisition process sometimes dictated by spending priorities. The result was TroopsDirect (www.troopsdirect.org), a donor-driven, 501(c)(3), in which forward-deployed troops make supply requests which are then fulfilled by TroopsDirect.  From request to delivery, anywhere in the world, is typically seven days or less. This stands in contrast to the typical supply chain time frame which can take weeks, months or sometimes, never.

Most shocking to Negherbon was the types of supplies being requested. “I anticipated troops needing items like socks and protein powder. I wasn’t anticipating what makes up the bulk of our shipments which are items such as tourniquets, ballistic helmets, rifle slings, communication equipment and special chalk for marking IED’s.”

Since its inception, TroopsDirect has shipped more than 3 million pounds of requested supplies in to the hands of our troops, frequently Special Forces units, and has done so with an extraordinary administrative budget of just 4%. “I didn’t launch TroopsDirect to get rich,” said the married father of two. “The idea of an American donating in support of our troops not having as much of that donation go directly to our mission as possible was a non-starter. I had a job. This is a calling.”

Over the years Negherbon has developed close working relationships with many of the top military suppliers in the nation and began to see the crossover between many of the items used by troops and those by police and first responders. He started calling local police departments and quickly learned that local law enforcement departments throughout the nation were facing similar challenges as our troops. Budget cuts and funding priorities have left many departments, particularly those in smaller towns and rural areas, forced to do more with less. The result is that both officers and citizens are less safe.

“I was surprised to learn that our first responders are often in the same boat as our forward-deployed troops when it comes to supply access,” said Negherbon. “The reality is that we’re facing new threats today and that requires additional training and equipment. Hard spending decisions need to be made. But I don’t think an officer or citizen’s safety should be compromised in the process.” And with that, Negherbon brought his overseas efforts stateside to help serve those who serve us.

CopsDirect (www.copsdirect.org) follows the same successful model as TroopsDirect. Departments make supply requests and CopsDirect delivers.  Also funded by concerned citizen donations, with the same program fulfillment percentage, the recently launched organization is focusing its initial efforts towards the supplies that keep officers and citizens safe such as DOK’s (Downed Officer Kits), body cams, K-9 supplies and protective head gear. The organization hopes to soon include Naloxone, beneficial to those suffering opioid overdose, in to their supply chain.

Despite the current climate and politicization of our law enforcement agencies, Negherbon is quick to point out that CopsDirect is a non-political effort. “Cops don’t ask if someone is a conservative or liberal prior to laying their lives on the line to protect and serve. Just like a victim doesn’t ask a cop when they’re in need. Ours is an American effort that transcends political ideologies. It’s not an “Us vs. Them” situation. It’s about “We.”

Despite just recently launching, CopsDirect has already delivered ballistic helmets and roughly 1,500 Downed Officer Kits to more than 20 Police and Sheriff Departments throughout the nation. As more learn about the organization the requests and donations are rapidly increasing.

While Negherbon wishes there wasn’t a need for CopsDirect or TroopsDirect, and hopes for the day he will be able shutter both organizations because our troops and first-responder needs are being met, until that day comes he’s committed to doing what he feels is his role as an American.

“The sacrifices our soldiers and law enforcement officers make every day demanded that I step up to do my part. Thankfully, I’m not alone. Countless concerned citizens have stepped up in support of what we’re doing knowing that what they donate will go directly to helping to ensure the safety of those we rely on both here and abroad. And because of them, American lives are saved.”

Is Trump The Real Hope And Change Administration?

By: Kent Engelke | Capitol Securities

Confidence is building the global economies are accelerating. Data from both France and Germany was greater than expected. Statistics at home are also stronger than projected. Oil rose again as OPEC all but approved an extension of production cuts for another nine months.

I ask what happens to oil prices if the global economies continue to accelerate at current levels and oil production declines as thought? Many believe OPEC will cheat on production quotas. Thirty-five years ago, everyone believed OPEC would continue to curtail production for political purposes.

Wow, how the psychology has changed.

There are a growing number of analysts suggesting the reason why OPEC is reducing production is because this group lacks funds for infrastructure investment. Transfer payments and military budgets are straining budgets. Sunni banks are around 110% loan to deposit ratios, thus suggesting there are liquidity issues. Many theocracies have entered the international debt market for the first time.

I believe today is analogous to 1998-2001. The final leg of that cycle was oil prices again doubled because of stronger than expected growth and reduced production.

Commenting about other markets, equities and Treasuries were quiet. The political headlines were non-sensational with all wondering what to believe.

Speaking of headlines, according to Bloomberg and based upon the Michigan Consumer Sentiment Survey, in a series that tracks responses on news heard about government economic policy, since December, an average of 23% of respondents have a “favorable light” about NEWS of government economic policy. This is up from an average of just 2% between January 1978 and November 2016. Prior to this period, the highest level recorded was 9% in February and March 1981.

Conversely, the unfavorable comments about government economic policies are 18%, rising from an average of 15% in the months immediately after the election. This is considerably lower than the record high level of 40% reached in October 2013. It averaged about 25% during the last four years of the previous administration

Wow! Talk about Hope and Change!!

What will happen today?

Last night the foreign markets were mixed. London was up 0.26%, Paris was down .12% and Frankfurt was down 0.19%. China was up 0.07%, Japan was up 0.66% and Hang Sang was up 0.10%.

The Dow should open flat. The 10-year is unchanged at a 2.28% yield.

The Montana Kid

By: Lloyd Marcus

Mary and I are in Montana with the Conservative Campaign Committee working to defeat Pelosi’s latest impeach Trump minion, Rob Quist who is running for congress.

A small incident brought a smile to my face and my spirit. At the breakfast buffet in the hotel, a kid around 7 years old asked me. “Excuse me sir, is this stuff free?” I replied, “Yes it is.” His mom saw him, smiled at me and herded him over to her other two children.

Folks, there was so much good news about that child’s parenting in his behavior. He was polite, beginning with, “Excuse me…” Today, rudeness in children appears to becoming the norm.

The lad was respectful, calling me sir. Obviously, he was taught the old-school biblical principle of respecting ones elders. My brother has coached kids football for 30 years. He said a striking disturbing change he has noticed is kids no longer fear or respect adult authority.

I had a relative whose mom treated him like her little prince, refusing to allow anyone, including his step-dad, to discipline him. He had problems his entire life; refusing to respect anyone including his school teachers, girlfriends and employers. As you would expect, he could not keep a job, fired numerous times. He died young. Parents do a great disservice to their children when they withhold discipline.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Another thing really neat about the little boy is he knew not to touch things that did not belong to him. Watching him stare at the selection of fruity yogurts told me he really wanted one. But, he was not going to take one without permission.

Parents who allow their kids to run around a store opening and eating sweets; touching, playing with and breaking things drives my wife nuts. She wants to reign in the unruly children. I tell her to chill out, mind her own business and let the store’s employees handle it.

I saw my little friend enjoying his breakfast with his mom, dad, younger brother and toddler sister. I pray that he will grow up to become a prosperous and responsible adult. His parents have given him a good foundation.

We need a solid win in Montana to embolden Senate Republicans to come up with a strong Repeal Obamacare bill. If extreme liberal democrat Rob Quist wins here in Montana, fake news media and democrats will use it to stall momentum for the repeal of Obamacare. http://bit.ly/2ra1myk

I hope my Montana kid’s parents are Republicans who will vote for Greg Gianforte, Thursday, May 25th.
