The title is from my friend, Steve Schippert over at ThreatsWatch.org, so I am stealing it. It sums up the protests of the media and talking heads concerning the Afghan civilian casualties. I would ask you to give General McKiernan the benefit of the doubt here and for one brief moment in time, just stop listening to the torrent of American apologies and media hype out there… If for no other reason than they are making me physically nauseous – America has nothing to apologize for except possibly for being dumb enough to elect a socialist extremist to the White House. For that, we should all be sorry…

As the United States and Afghanistan conduct a joint investigation into allegations that scores of civilians in western Afghanistan were killed in U.S. air strikes, the commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan suggested the U.S military may have had nothing to do with those deaths.

The Taliban may be responsible, Gen. David McKiernan hinted.

“We have some other information that leads us to distinctly different conclusions about the cause of those civilian casualties,” McKiernan told reporters in Kabul on Wednesday. He urged caution, while the circumstances surrounding the tragedy remained unclear.

Sketchy accounts of the incident in the Bala Bulak district of the sparsely populated Farah province point to large-scale loss of life during heavy fighting Monday between Taliban fighters and Afghan troops supported by U.S. forces.

Go to the link and read the article. Spread the word far and wide. Don’t let the biased media continue the Murthafication of our military. Our Secretary of State seems to be bent on apologizing to our enemies. I volunteer to pay for a one-way ticket over there just so she can bond with them – sans security that is.
