Thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers. Trevor, Andy and his family are okay. They have food, water and a roof over their head. The quake was devastating because it was shallow. Over 65 dead. The Telegraph is now reporting they fear over 150.
Trevor and Andy are back doing research but communications may be very spotty. The government has asked that people communicate via social networking and not make calls. The servers are up and survived. Prayers are always welcome…

“It was horrific. People were covered in rubble, covered in several tons of concrete,” Boehm said, adding that he believed some of them had been crushed to death.
Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker declared a state of emergency and ordered people to evacuate the city center. He said it was impossible to say how many people were trapped in the rubble, but that it was estimated to be more than 100.
