I recently watched the original Jussie Smollett ABC interview on YouTube in which he claimed to have been attacked by racist, homophobic Trump-supporters.

Considering that we now know that Jussie staged his attack and was arrested for filing a false police report, I thought, “This guy should be nominated for an Academy Award.”  In his ABC interview, Jussie’s sincerity, tears, and portrayal as a suffering victimized black homosexual man were insidiously and brilliantly executed. 

Even though Jussie has been exposed as a liar, will leftists continue to use Jussie’s irresponsible, hate-generating lie to smear Trump and his supporters?  Folks, we have seen this kind of leftist propaganda movie before, titled, “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot,” starring young black criminal Michael Brown.

Last year, Lancet Infectious Diseases Journal published a major warning about malaria in Venezuela. In spite of 3 million people fleeing their home country since 2014, the economic conditions in Venezuela continue in a financial tail-spin. Treatment of malaria, measles, and diphtheria, as well as dengue and Zika, are just not being treated. Further, the infant mortality rate is skyrocketing. The most recent population count with malaria is estimated to be 411, 586.

Maduro has called on Russia, Cuba, and Bolivia to help with military action, police action, and even his personal security. Cuba denies there are forces in Venezuela. Hold on Cuba….

Informal information published by Foresightcuba, which is dedicated to presenting statistics about the island, counts Cuba’s military presence in Venezuela as follows: 4,500 Cuban infantrymen organized in 8 battalions of 500 troops, plus a battalion stationed in Fuerte Tiuna; 2 Brigade Generals (Herminio Hernández Rodríguez and Alejandro Ronda Marrero, one stationed in Fuerte Tiuna, another in Barquisimeto); 4 colonels (Rodrigo Hernández Maite, Rufino Zabaleta Corvino, Jaime Freitas Sambrano, and Simon Guillermo Senior); 8 lieutenant colonels; 6 frigate captains, and 25 junior officers.

This information details who they are with name and surname, their functions, where they are based, the weapons they use, and notes that they wear Venezuelan military insignia.

A long-standing situation

According to an article published in February 2010 by journalist Leandro Dario, international assistant editor of the newspaper Dario Perfi, by that time the then president of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, had incorporated the Cuban military into the Armed Forces of the country with the aim of inserting the high command of Cuba into Venezuelan military forces, to ensure their control in the barracks and project socialism. More here.

This certainly now speaks to the humanitarian aid several countries are working to get to the desperate Venezuelan people that Maduro has cut off completely. Just two days ago:

There are 5 naturalized American citizens still being jailed in Venezuela. And China deployed a tech envoy to Caracas, to in many cases, terminate the Internet and other telecom services.

Due to Russia’s support for President Bashar al-Assad in the Syrian civil war, the Kremlin has been given significant more control over Syria’s oil and gas industry. In 2017, Syria asigned a deal giving Russia sole rights to its oil and gas production. In return for saving desperate regimes, Russia has gained significant control over global resource markets on top of its own large reserves.

But Assad has also given Russia a permanent air base and an expansion of Russian naval facilities in the country. The Kremlin is banking on mirroring such agreements in Venezuela. Joint Russian-Venezuelan naval exercises were held in 2008, while two nuclear-capable bombers flew to Venezuela’s La Orchila island in December 2018.

Though Venezuelan law prohibits permanent foreign military bases, Russia and Venezuela announced the creation of a ‘temporary’ long-term Russian airbase on La Orchila soon after the flight demonstration. Together with Venezuela’s Russian weapons imports, the two militaries will find it easier to coordinate Russian power projection in the Caribbean.

Expanding a military presence in Venezuela will bring up uncomfortable memories from the Cuban Missile Crisis. In 2017, Igor Sechin held talks with Cuban President Raul Castro and agreed to expand oil and gas ties. The potential for a Russian base in Venezuela came after steady integration through natural resource industries, a formula that Cuba appears intent on replicating.

Stakes have risen in Venezuela since Russia allegedly sent hundreds of personnel from its most notorious private military company, Wagner, in January. Deploying Wagner will allow Russia to mask its presence in Venezuela, similar to recent conflicts.

Many of Wagner’s personnel are ex-Russian soldiers. They have worked with rebel elements in Ukraine and been granted partial control of re-captured oil and gas fields in Syria. Wagner has also been deployed across Africa to safeguard regimes under scrutiny from the West and international institutions, as well as protect their lucrative mining operations.

Wagner represents a privatization of security backed by the power of the Russian military. Rosneft and Gazprom, Russia’s other resource crown jewels, operate their own security forces, and together could be the force that takes over from the Russian military in Syria and potentially in Venezuela.

Russia’s ability to safeguard desperate regimes has made other ‘rogue states’ increasingly look to Russia as a guarantor of their security. Keeping Maduro in power represents part of a wider policy of assisting other states hostile to wider US foreign policy.

The Kremlin often offers diplomatic support to North Korea and relieved most of its debt obligations to Russia in 2014. In the years that followed, Korean rocket tests increased dramatically, drawing the attention of the U.S. More recently, not only has Russia aided the Syrian government in the civil war, it has done so in tandem with Iranian forces after decades of Iranian military isolation.

Backed by the U.S., Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Gaido declared himself acting president on January 23, ushering in the latest escalation of Venezuela’s political crisis. He was soon recognized as interim president by the U.S., Canada, the EU, and most Latin American countries. China, Russia, Turkey, Iran, and others continue to recognize Maduro, who still has the broad support of the Venezuelan military.

The U.S. has imposed sanctions on Maduro and individuals associated with him, as well as PVSDA, which is now stacked with Maduro allies. But the ability of Maduro and the Venezuelan economy to withstand the pressure suggests that, though the sanctions may damage his administration, they may not be enough to force him out.

Chavez fought to gain control over Venezuela’s oil supply and push out the U.S. and the West, only to have Maduro establish a new reliance on Russia. With the Kremlin’s help, his administration may survive, in return for Russian control over Venezuela’s oil industry and the establishment of a military footprint in the United States’ backyard. For the full summary, go here.

Will President Trump resist the demands of the paid-off politicians for marijuana legalization on the federal level? California’s far-left Senator and presidential candidate Kamala Harris says marijuana brings “joy” to people and it should be legalized nationally. But Sheriff Jon Lopey of Siskiyou County, California, says the Mexican drug cartels are moving into California under the cover of legalization, producing death and destruction in the Golden State and “exporting” these problems to the rest of America. Lopey, once the target of a bribery attempt by a marijuana producer, cites evidence and studies linking marijuana to mental illness and violence. He supports the Border Wall and urges President Trump to expand resources for law enforcement. “The federal government has to stand strong” against legalization, he says.

Well, last month, Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots, apparently had a good time at the Orchids of Asia Spa… Kraft is one of 25 people charged. Several spas were part of a raid in the West Palm Beach area as part of a crackdown on human trafficking and prostitution.

Kraft, a widow, age 77, has been charged with two counts of soliciting prostitution per Jupiter Police Chief Daniel Kerr. Evidence was gathered by bodycam video and surveillance over the last several months. The average cost for services at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa is $60-$80. Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in the sting operations including Homeland Security, the IRS, Jupiter PD, and the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. The sting operation lasted an estimated 8 months and up to 100 men have been identified.

Kraft is worth an estimated $6 billion, so visiting a spa at a bargain day rate… well, you be the judge.

Meanwhile, remember Jeffrey Epstein? You know, Bill Clinton’s ole’ buddy and sin island?

Federal prosecutors, including U.S. Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta, broke federal law when signing a plea deal agreement with Jeffrey Epstein, a judge ruled Thursday.

Epstein, a former hedge fund manager, helped to operate an international sex ring in which he recruited underage girls in Florida and from overseas. He was convicted of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution and served only about a year in an arrangement of jail time and work release that began in 2008.

Acosta, the federal prosecutor overseeing the case at the time, met privately with Epstein’s attorney in 2007 to cut the lenient deal, and the future Trump appointee agreed to keep the arrangement from Epstein’s victims, according to a November report in the Miami Herald, despite federal law requiring such disclosure.

In a 33-page opinion, U.S. District Judge Kenneth A. Marra said Epstein was not prosecuted under federal sex trafficking laws. Instead, Acosta, then the U.S. attorney in Miami, helped devise a non-prosecution agreement that gave Epstein and those who worked with him immunity from federal prosecution, the Miami Herald reported on Thursday.

“Petitioners and the other victims should have been notified of the Government’s intention to take that course of action before it bound itself under the [non-prosecution agreement],” Marra wrote.

The ruling did not issue a punishment. Marra gave the government and Epstein’s victims 15 days to come up with a resolution, though it’s unclear what that resolution could be.

Russia-gate is a diversion from the communist spies who have been manipulating prominent California politicians for years, says analyst and activist Gary Richard Arnold. Arnold and host Cliff Kincaid discuss several cases, including former Obama CIA director and “insider” Leon Panetta, a founder of “California Forward;” Senator Dianne Feinstein; and former Senator Alan Cranston, a leader of the World Federalists. It turns out that current California Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris began her left-wing career as an intern in Cranston’s office and her father was a Marxist economist. Tragically, he says, most Republicans are “dumb, stupid, or scared” and reluctant to challenge the power of the “traitors” based in California who are taking their subversion nationwide. A resident of Santa Cruz, Arnold says the Golden State has deteriorated to such an extent that syringes given away by local needle exchanges are being left by homeless drug abusers on the state’s beaches, threatening families and children with disease and death.

With earbuds in my ears and wired to my phone, I listen to national Christian broadcasts during my daily walk. Back to back, I heard two black pastors with large congregations. It was stunning hearing how clueless both men were regarding the truth of various political issues.

Both pastors parroted Democrats’ and fake news media’s lies in their sermons. Between the two, they rebuked Republicans for hatefully wanting to build a wall to “keep people out.” They blamed Republicans for foolishly shutting down the government, which caused 800,000 employees to suffer unpaid. They scolded Republicans for cruelly separating children from their parents. Each allegation against Republicans was a misrepresentation of the truth; rooted in Democrats’ and fake news media’s longtime lie that Republicans are racist and mean.

The Border Wall. Americans welcome immigrants who enter our country legally. The border wall is to stop the invasion of illegals which includes sex traffickers, drug dealers, and violent criminals. Stats confirm that walls are effective. Hypocritically, Democrats who preach that building a wall to keep Americans safe is racist and mean live in highly secured communities behind walls.

The three-day Conference on Human Fraternity was an event recently held on February 3 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where seven hundred religious leaders from around the world gathered to hear the speeches of Pope Francis and Grand Imam Al Tayeb. Two of the world’s three leaders of the Abrahamic faiths gave speeches and signed the newly created Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together. 

Historically, there has been no relationship between the Vatican, head of the Catholic Christians, and the Al-Ahzar Institute, head of the Sunni Muslims. However, prior to this month’s historic declaration, two visits were made between them within months of each other in 2018 — one at the Vatican in Rome and one at the Institute in Cairo – for undeclared reasons. Their meetings paved the way to this conference.

Emphasizing the importance of the role of religions in the construction of world peace, the Document on Human Fraternity states that it upholds the protection of places of worship – synagogues, mosques, and churches. Although the latter two were represented on the platform, there was no Jewish representative present to speak or sign the document. Due to the apparent significance of this conference and document, the absence of the Jewish faith from the stage is an enigma.

The “Apostolic Journey” of Pope Francis

No pope has ever before walked on the soil of a country located in the Arabian Peninsula in spite of the fact that the first Catholic Church was established in the United Arab Emirates in 1965. The UAE is an Islamic country unique in the matter of freedom of religion. It respects and enforces religious tolerance. There are 76 temples and churches where followers practice freely without any interference. The UAE demonstrates to the world that civil law can usurp religious law in an Islamic country if it is the will of the state.

In general, the UAE abides by the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights with Article 32 of the country’s constitution providing “the liberty to perform religious services in accordance with established local customs.” Pope Francis intended his visit to this Islamic nation to be “a cornerstone for a new chapter in the history of relations between the two religions.” The goal of his visit would be to close the gap between Catholics and Muslims – meaning all of Christianity.  

The Pope Speaks

In his speech, the pope invited Muslims and Christians to enter the virtual Ark of Brotherhood to be protected from the mighty waves of today’s violence. Emphasizing the need for peace, the pope stressed the need for unity with Muslims. However, in the subsequent speech made by the grand imam, it was not at all evident that the head of the largest sect of Muslims around the world is interested in reforms to the doctrine connected to the lethal violence issuing from Islam on the world stage in order to bring about peace. 

To this, we must ask how the pope plans to protect the sheep from the wolves inside the fraternity ark. It is certainly foolish to invite into an alliance for peace those whose roots of violence remain unexamined and unrebuked.

The Document on Human Fraternity for which the pope used the metaphor of the Ark of Brotherhood casts a wide net for one humanity of believers to unite and work together to advance a culture of mutual respect “in the awareness of the great divine grace that makes all human beings brothers and sisters.”

However, Christians consider only those within the body of Christ to be brothers and sisters, and, therefore, this represents heresy. 

Pope Francis ignores the validity of certain Koranic verses that justify hatred and violence. In his speech, he warns that “there is no religious justification for any kind of violence: hate, blind extremism, killing, oppression or acts of terrorism,” and yet we know there is for Muslims.

The pope cautions against profaning God by using His name to commit acts of hate against another human or kill another brother, and we know that such glorifies the god of Islam. Unfortunately, the pope does not seem to mind if his message is received and considered before seeking the imam’s signature to bind with him in brotherhood. 

For Christians, the idea behind this lofty Document on Human Fraternity is quite a stretch because any Christian serving the God of the Most High knows well that Muslims serve another god and that brotherhood is not possible in a spiritual or moral sense. The Ark of Brotherhood, therefore, is an absurd illusion.

In order to achieve it, the pope pitches the banner of Humanism to his audience of religious leaders, the umbrella under which we all reside according to him (“God is the origin of the human family” and “sons of the same humanity”) to sell his grand scheme of “harmonious co-existence.” 

The Grand Imam Speaks

For his part, the Grand Imam Al-Tayeb fashioned his words to agree with the importance of the fraternity document as an important call for a culture of peace and respect. At the same time, the tone of his voice and chosen language echoed an Islamic Calipha addressing his warriors – arrogant and supreme.

As head of Sunni Muslim clerics and believers around the world, the grand imam saw fit to implicate forces outside his control and lay blame on lack of world intervention for violence and war, presumably alluding to Islamic forces in Syria and Iraq conflicts. He noted the expansion of Arab-Muslim terrorism in the West for the past four decades. In this opportune moment, the imam could have taken responsibility — using his powerful position — to promise to curtail future terrorism by treating its source through reforming interpretations of Koranic verses.

He directed blame at Western media for labeling Islamic terrorism “Muslim terror” and not “criminal,” denying a truth he could be admitting and addressing; instead, he chose a cover-up.  

Fighting for Islam’s superiority from the fraternity podium, Al-Tayeb highlighted the necessity of Islamic religious roles in the political and civil daily life of people in the West in order to improve morality and bad behavior and urged Muslims living in the West to legally counter any local laws contradicting Islamic Sharia. This outrageous declaration alone should have halted the signing of the fraternity document.

With this, the entire pageantry must be called into question by those of us watching. Are we seeing a struggle between the two religious leaders where the grand imam is expected to submit to the pope, or rather a staging by the two leaders to bring about a mutually agreed upon end? Either way, the worldwide interfaith movement — intending to join all religions together as one under the universal banner of Humanism — is bolstered by it.

This Ark of Brotherhood will not be a boat most of us will want to jump in no matter how turbulent the seas. Christian doctrine forbids Christians to yoke together with enemies of Christianity. The Document on Human Fraternity and the interfaith initiative it serves requires the risk of being in one boat with those intolerant of other faiths and opposed to Western freedoms. A greater enemy thereby emerges requiring nothing short of our political and spiritual demise.
