Under the “Pay for Performance Act,” Obama, Geitner and his cronies will be able to decide what you are paid and they will be able to take over companies they feel are important to the general well-being of our country and specifically the government.
Over the past three months we have witnessed some truly amazing movements by the Obama administration. He has proposed more spending than all Presidents in history combined; he has trampled the Constitution by allowing the Treasury to take on a dictator style infringement on private companies, and now the democratically lead Congress has proposed the “Pay for Performance Act” which passed Thursday with even some Republican Congressman voted for it.
This bill essentially allows the Treasury to define “fair pay” for all employees, at any level. Worse, the Treasury would like to be able to take over any company it deemed as important enough to take over regardless of whether or not it had accepted bailout funds. Worse still, the Serve Act proposes to make volunteering for the government mandatory (with pay, of course). Last time I looked, working for pay was called A JOB.
If that is not bad enough (and believe me it is horrifying), you now have the following rights:
1. The right to mandatory volunteerism.
2. The right to give up religious freedom.
3. The right to give up your freedoms to choose politically who you want in office.
4. The right to not choose whether you are in a union or not.
Our fascist government will do all that for you now so you don’t have to bother your little heads with this ‘freedom’ crap. Best leave that to your betters… Here is an excerpt from the actual provision:
SEC. 1304. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND INELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS.
Section 125 (42 U.S.C. 12575) is amended to read as follows:
“SEC. 125. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND INELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS.
“(a) Prohibited Activities.–A participant in an approved national
service position under this subtitle may not engage in the following
activities:
“(1) Attempting to influence legislation.
“(2) Organizing or engaging in protests, petitions,
boycotts, or strikes.
“(3) Assisting, promoting, or deterring union organizing.
“(4) Impairing existing contracts for services or
collective bargaining agreements.
“(5) Engaging in partisan political activities, or other
activities designed to influence the outcome of an election to
any public office.
“(6) Participating in, or endorsing, events or activities
that are likely to include advocacy for or against political
parties, political platforms, political candidates, proposed
legislation, or elected officials.
“(7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship
services, providing instruction as part of a program that
includes mandatory religious instruction or worship,
constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious
instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or
inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or
engaging in any form of religious proselytization.
“(8) Providing a direct benefit to–
“(A) a business organized for profit;
“(B) a labor organization;
“(C) a partisan political organization;
“(D) a nonprofit organization that fails to comply
with the restrictions contained in section 501(c)(3) of
the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 except that nothing
in this section shall be construed to prevent
participants from engaging in advocacy activities
undertaken at their own initiative; and
“(E) an organization engaged in the religious
activities described in paragraph (7), unless
Corporation assistance is not used to support those
religious activities.
“(9) Conducting a voter registration drive or using
Corporation funds to conduct a voter registration drive.
“(10) Such other activities as the Corporation may
prohibit.
And now, Obama has his eye on the banks… I’m also hearing that the government is not accepting the pay back of TARP from these businesses. Frankly, I’m stunned – it is so blatant and audacious it takes my breath away… But don’t worry, Obama’s minions are already on the move to make sure he can serve as many terms as he rigs, er wins…
