The Heart of a Police Women:

I like this series because it offers a rare glimpse into the hearts of police women as they move between fighting crime and their families. Be sure to watch the insightful profile of Detective Ana Murillo which starts at 6:16 as she explains how she has built “a shield around her heart” to protect herself and function on the street.

Called to Serve America:

The blurred lines of modern warfare mean that American military women are going into the combat zone as pilots, medics and gunners. They are serving and sacrificing for our nation as never before in our history. Listen to women like my friend Major Nicole Malachowski of the Air Force Thunderbirds express their passion for serving our nation.

An Astronaut Shares Her Vision:

Sally Ride made history as the first American woman in space. But I most admire her commitment to sharing the vision that this experience gave her with children. This video features some incredible high-resolution imagery of earth from orbit that Ride uses to teach American kids lessons that she learned in space.
