Remember the old adage which states … “You can’t find your way there–if you don’t know where you are going?”

The same concept is revered in the military community … “Know your enemy.”

However, President Barack Obama, who has no mililtary experience or affinity for it, believes he knows better, and is using the power of his Executive pen to thwart that long standing rule–at least as it pertains to the war on terror.

Yesterday, the Obama administration released a 24-page ‘home-grown terror’ strategy document, within which the terms Islam, Radical, Jihad or Extremist even exist,” according to a FOXNews article today.

This added insult to injury, following the Defense Department letter released in October, which classified the “Fort Hood” massacre as “Workplace Violence.”

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), joined by Joe Lieberman (I-CT), took the Obama administration to task yesterday, issuing a statement that questioned why the Obama administration omitted Islam from its latest document.

The statement read … “We also continue to be disappointed by the administration’s refusal to identify violent Islamist extremism as our enemy. To understand this threat and counter it, we must not shy away from making the sharp distinction between the peaceful religion followed by millions of law-abiding Americans and a twisted corruption of that religion used to justify violence.”

Evidently, the top priority threat was defined as terrorism “inspired by” Al Qaeda and its affiliates, and continued with the sanitized phrase … “free societies face threats from a range of violent extremists.” Further, the plan would be applied “to prevent all forms of violent extremism.”

It is well documented that identifying the targets of the war on terror as “Islamic…Radicals or Extremists,” is anathema to President Barack Hussein Obama, as he has been very clear in stating the obvious…”we are not at war with Islam.”

However, all terrorists have been driven by Jihad according to [their] interpretation of Islam–there is absolutely no way to separate this fact from reality.

The document states that the objective is to “dismantle” Al Qaeda and “its affiliates.”

Who are they?

And, what about Hezbollah and Hamas–they are not “affiliates of Al Qaeda?”

Instead, they are sponsored by Syria (Islamic nation sponsor of terrorists), which is supported by Iran (Islamic nation sponsor of terrorists); and, Iran looms as potentially the next greatest nuclear threat in the world.

And, remember back in October when the DOJ connected Iran to a foiled plot to assassinate the Saudi Arabian Ambassador…in Washington, D.C., by blowing up a restaurant?

It gets worse, as the report lumps U.S. counter-terrorism efforts together with preventing school campus shootings and sexual offenses, through local law enforcement and “community awareness.”

And, only one of these categories has a consistent, positive identification and characteristics to be disseminated to the public–Radical Muslim Extremists.

Republicans once again viewed this as being in alignment with President Obama’s “Policy of Appeasement” toward the Muslim religion, which prompted this backlash from Obama …

“Ask Usama bin Laden and the 22 out of 30 top Al Qaeda leaders who’ve been taken off the field whether I engage in appeasement. Or whoever is left out there, ask them about that.”

This is the first time on record that President Obama has actually taken responsibility for anything–regardless of his total involvement being simply to utter…”O.K.,” to the people who actually were responsible.

This document and discussion only came about as a result of the very controversial Congressional hearings on the rising threat of “Home-grown Terrorism” that were courageously conducted by Rep. Peter King (R-NY), Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security.

On May 27, 2010, Sen. King released these statements on the subject of the Obama administration ignoring the identity of the threat … “I have serious concerns about this Strategy. The Obama Administration refuses to even identify head-on the threat our nation faces.

By his own account, assistant to the President John Brennan stated in a speech yesterday, ‘nor do we describe our enemy as ‘jihadists’ or ‘Islamists,’ even after these terrorists we are fighting continue to commit their slaughter in the name of ‘jihad.’

Sadly, it seems very apparent that by his own predilections and omissions, our weakest link against the “Home Grown Terror” threat is most likely President Barack Obama is himself–because he refuses to identify the real source–“Radical Muslim Extremists.”

Maybe that is why he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu get along so well
