America Holds its Breath, Election Day

Against all Enemies

On this Election Day, America collectively holds its breath.

On one side, we have a segment of the populace who desire government to provide them with all their needs. A segment who wants to be free from personal responsibility. A segment who wants to be free from any presence of the Christian God in the fabric of our nation. A segment who desires our nation to be more like the rest of the world. A segment who believes that the ends justify the means, an ends that is nebulous and undefined, but just known as “hope.” A segment who justifies murder by claiming protection of individual privacy and right to personal choice. A segment who believes that speech should only be free if it supports the desired ends. A segment who deals with evil by legalizing and normalizing it. A segment that believes truth comes from man and our rights come from the government. A segment who sees a crisis as an opportunity to obtain more power

On the other side, we have a segment of the populace who desires limited government so that individual liberties are protected. A segment who believes that each citizen is responsible for his/her actions. A segment that believes that the Christian God is an essential requirement for the fabric of America. A segment that believes in the sovereignty of our nation. A segment who believes that the way we do something is as important than the ends we seek to achieve. A segment who believes that the right to life is not trumped by a right to privacy. A segment who believes in the right to free speech, even if we may find that speech hateful or repulsive. A segment who confronts evil. A segment who believes that truth and rights come from our Creator. A segment who sees a crisis as a call to do the right thing

These two positions are at their very core irreconcilable, and the emotions of both camps have been extensively whipped up by their respective leaders. Opponents have been dehumanized and portrayed as “zombies” worthy of eradication. Fear and hate are palpable in America.

How did we get here?

America failed to abide in our Constitution and in the Creator of heaven and earth. We failed to safeguard the form of government and liberties it provides, having neglected our duty as citizens of this nation. At our founding, We The People were sovereign. But we have stood by while our government has steadily taken it away from us. We have believed that through human effort our government can make a more perfect society. We have convinced ourselves that America could not become like Nazi Germany or Rwanda where citizens commit mass murder and atrocities against their fellow citizens. We have therefore sat idly by, sedated and distracted with music, movies, sports, and medication pretending that there is no problem, and if there is a problem, it will sort itself out.

As a result or our indifference, leaders of both parties have been guilty of taking us down a very dangerous path. Both parties have involved us in unnecessary wars. Both parties have bankrupted our nation by increasing our national debt to the point where it may be mathematically impossible to repay. Both parties have passed legislation that infringe on our liberties. Both parties have sought ways to circumvent the Constitution–and succeeded in doing so. Both parties have worked to undermine the sovereignty of our nation in favor of globalism.

Is our government doing things to us, or for us?

If We The People do not change the course of our nation quickly and restore our sovereignty, we may never be able to.

But are we already be too late? George Washington instructed us that our nation depends upon morals and religion to function properly. Without these two elements, it is doubtful that our Constitutional Republic can survive. Have our morals already become so debased, and God removed so completely from our thoughts and actions, that our republic can no longer function as designed? Perhaps we should just accept that our debauched culture now needs a dictator to keep it in line. Perhaps we should rejoin the culture of the rest of the world, the very same world that many of our forefathers rejected by leaving everything behind and coming to an America where they could be more free.

After America, there is nowhere left to go. Once America’s freedom is gone, that’s it.

We Americans, as every people of the world, get the government we deserve. What kind of government do you think we deserve? If it’s not what you see now, then get out there and work to change it. Wake up, pull your head out of the sand, contemplate our situation as a nation, and act. Your life and your children’s lives depend upon what you do this day, and every day after.

The bottom line is this: the battle for the future of America is not in Iran, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen or Libya. The battle is in America. Put on the full armor of God and march to the sounds of the guns.

Connecting the Dots of the Obama Story: Chicago Backdrop

By: Arlen Williams
Gulag Bound

Sixty-one pages that shouldn’t be missed

“Demotivational poster” from 2008

Before the general election four years ago, I decided to contribute to the cause by gathering onto just one page, the evidence of Barack Obama’s numerous, significant involvements with ACORN.

At about the same time a one megaton article was published at American Thinker, written by James M. Simpson. Actually it was the second in a series. It brought to light the Cloward-Piven Strategy of financially collapsing government, in order to bring in the proletariat revolution.

Further, it showed how ACORN, George Soros, and a great share of the crypto-Marxist financial and political network, very much including their great Obama gambit, have appeared concomitant with that strategy. That opus was called, “Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis, Part II” and if it is not familiar with the reader let it become so now.

As it happened, I took another little step of my own, too. I assembled what facts were shown by others to be the high points in Obama’s development as a covertly Marxist candidate for the presidency, again on one page, with “Investigating Obama: Career Path Toward a Neo-Marxist Presidency.”

During that time and to this date, entire books full of information went much broader and deeper in exploring Obama’s many strategic and tactical Marxist (and Islamist) connections. They have been expertly prepared and presented.

Two very notable examples are Trevor Loudon’s “Barack Obama and the Enemies Within” and Paul Kengor’s “The Communist.”

However, there is also a very quick read available that provides an unique perspective, written by a man with his own unique connections, Tom Teetor. It is calledConnecting the Dots of the Obama Story.” His work brings to bear knowledge of the Chicago Communist hub, especially in Obama’s Hyde Park, and of the subversive KGB involvements therein, and their general methods of the mid to late 20th Century.

It happens to be available at Barnes & Noble and at Amazon for a very low cost – all sixty-one pages of it. Here is the overview related in glossed-over form, at Barnes & Noble:

Proposed fictional explanation of enigmatic President Barack Obama based on the experience of the author. He was an undergraduate at the University of Chicago, when a communist operative tried to recruit him. Later, the author was involved in electronic warfare and intelligence, with the highest security clearance for nearly half of the last century.

The premise of the book: how might the Soviet Union and then a remnant of its KGB network be involved in the hot-bed preparation of Barack Obama for the presidency?

Lending from Teetor’s own experiences and knowledge of Cold War intelligence, it reads as a semi-first person, semi-fictionalized, personally referential detective story. And it adds seasoning to the Obamology of others that lends the reader a realistic feel for how Barack Obama may well have been developed, “handled,” and promoted.

I highly recommend it, for that reason.

As a sidelight, it was quite interesting to me personally, having briefly lived in Hyde Park and knowing that much earlier, while Tom was meeting the Communists of the University of Chicago, my father was a student of Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, a few blocks away. As it happened, both institutions are unfortunately linked with the Rockefeller family, though the Seminary much more distantly, and not tainted to any degree akin to that of the U of C.

On the eve of General Election Day 2012, it may be odd to bring up a book on Barack Obama, but I would not have this particular electoral epoch pass by, before giving my new, instructive colleague, Mr. Teetor and his fascinating little book its due. It will remain salient, whatever transpires this new day. Check it out.

So odd how we who know have come to so casually discuss a Marxist and pro-Muslim Brotherhood Islamist, as the occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Jewish Community Provides Humanitarian Aid to Victims of Hurricane Sandy

By: Fern Sidman

Reaching out to the beleaguered victims of Hurricane Sandy with direct and immediate aid, “Israel Flying Aid,” the Israeli global humanitarian organization which was first to arrive in Haiti in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake, has been distributing large supplies of gas to hospitals, as well as food, batteries and generators to those in the tri-state area who were adversely impacted by the “storm of the century.”

According to a report by the Israel News Agency, Israel Flying Aid North American Operations Manager Moti Kahana said, “”We have many years of disaster relief experience. Israel Flying Aid, in having Israelis on the ground here in New York and New Jersey, have made Israel the only foreign nation to provide humanitarian assistance to the US during this disaster. We are working in coordination with FEMA, local police, the American Red Cross and Jewish communities in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.” He added that most of the efforts had been donated by Israelis living in the US and this enabled gas to be distributed to hospitals in New York and New Jersey.

Joel Leyden, an Israel Flying Aid Operations Specialist who had worked in direct disaster relief efforts in Haiti, has been coordinating the distribution of both food and generators to those in storm ravaged Long Island with the help of the Greater Hartford Jewish Community.

“The food had been donated by Panera Bread and Dunkin Donuts in the Hartford, Manchester Connecticut area. This food was distributed to hurricane victims on the south shore of Long Island, the Nassau County Police, the Freeport Fire Department and the Red Cross Shelter which is set up at Nassau Community College,” said Leyden. He added that when they spotted hundreds of people lined up at gas stations to pour gas into their containers, they would get out of their cars and feed these people as they waited. “The donuts and bread created smiles and positive moods which replaced the trauma of suffering in the dark and cold,” he said.

Founded in 2005 by Gal Lousky, an experienced volunteer rescue worker and humanitarian relief provider, the IFA meets the pressing needs of people suffering in disaster areas around the world. As a non-profit, volunteer-based, non-governmental organization (NGO), the objectives of the IFA are to provide humanitarian life saving aid and succor to communities in areas stricken by natural disaster or territorial conflicts.

According to their mission statement, the IFA has a three-pronged emergency assistance program that includes food, medical aid and counseling for those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Providing supplies and assistance for every individual in need, the IFA transcends political differences, prejudices, race, nationality and creed and reaches out on behalf of the Jewish people in the spirit of peace, love and compassion.

Thus far, over 40 people have perished in the New York area as a result of the historic devastation wrought by the “Frankenstorm,” known as Hurricane Sandy. Thousands of homes were destroyed and millions were left without power in New York, New Jersey and southern Connecticut when monumental storm surges caused by Sandy slammed the northeast with 100 mph winds on October 29th.

Mr. Kahana declared, “As Israelis, we know how to react to such disasters. We are trained in the military to be prepared and ready at a moment’s notice. This edge is what enables us to go places where others don’t and get the job done with little or no bureaucracy. We are proud to help the New York, New Jersey and the Connecticut communities. These are people who have provided assistance to Israel throughout the years. What we critically need now is donations for our staff and volunteers to continue their life saving efforts as temperatures drop and people critically need generators and fuel for heat.”

On Sunday, November 4th, the Chabad-Lubavitch Midtown Manhattan branch dispatched a bus load of young professionals to assist with relief efforts on Long Island. According to a report on Israel National News, the volunteers helped hurricane victims with cleaning sand and other waterlogged debris that was swept into their homes. As the mercury dips in the New York area, other Chabad teams were tasked with distributing such supplies as batteries, socks, warm kosher food and other essentials to the those in need and a third set of volunteers set up a mobile soup kitchen where people gathered for nutritional sustenance in the disaster zone.

Departing from their Crown Heights headquarters in Brooklyn on Sunday, another bus load of Chabad-Lubavitch volunteers headed off to such hard hit areas as Coney Island, Brighton Beach and Manhattan Beach to provide similar relief to their neighbors.

Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries were among the first to search for survivors and help provide food and other supplies for those who were hurt in Japan during the deadly earthquake-tsunami that struck northeastern Japan in March 2011. Some 15,000 people lost their lives in that disaster and countless others were wounded, homeless and displaced for months.

During the Indian Ocean tsunami that struck southeast Asia in December 2004, leaving hundreds of thousands dead, Chabad-Lubavitch of Thailand worked tirelessly around the clock for days with Israel’s Foreign Ministry to locate missing people, contact relatives and provide food and other relief to those in need.

A number of Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries were also victims of Sandy’s wrath; losing their homes and all of their possessions and it has been reported that tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of holy books, furniture and supplies in Chabad centers throughout New York and New Jersey were lost due to the storm. Never ones to be deterred from performing acts of kindness and charity, despite the tragedy that they suffered, Chabad rabbis were out in force last week and on Sunday, going door-to-door in areas affected by the storm to provide food and water, as well as spiritual and emotional support.

In order to accomplish the goal of baking fresh challahs for Shabbos, Rabbi Mendy Kasowitz of the Chabad-Lubavitch Center of Essex County, New Jersey, donated his own generator to the local kosher bakery. “The community needs challahs,” Kasowitz said simply in an interview with Chabad.org just prior to the Sabbath. By midnight on Thursday evening, there were a few hundred loaves ready to be distributed and Kasowitz had plans in place for volunteers to deliver them to home-bound seniors stuck in their darkened homes. Others were sent to community-wide Sabbath dinners where power had already been restored, thus ensuring that hundreds of Jews began Friday evening with at least some semblance of a “normal” Sabbath meal.

The Dysfunctional U.S. Foreign Policy Toward Islam

By: Col. Tom Snodgrass
Right Side News

The U.S. Foreign Policy Dysfunction Problem Began With The End Of the Cold War

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union and end of the Cold War in 1991, U.S. foreign policy has alternated between somewhat different approaches caused by the slightly differing assumptions about Islam held by the Republican and Democrat parties in the post-Cold War international environment. Unfortunately for Americans, both parties’ assumptions are counterfactual. For more than four decades after the Second World War, U.S. foreign policy was based on the mutually agreed, fact-based assumption that containment of Soviet-led, international communism was the primary national strategic objective, irrespective which political party was in power.

The main difference between the parties was the emphasis envisioned for the role of military force in containing communism. However, the removal of the over-arching threat of communism abolished the political consensus concerning what should be the central organizing principle of U.S. foreign policy. Consequently, the fundamental underlying assumption of U.S. foreign policy has fluctuated between the parties’ two different interpretations of Islamic jihad, neither of which is reality-based. The role of military force also remains a continuing difference between the political parties in the Islamic threat world.

How The Democrat And Republican Faulty Foreign Policy Assumptions About Islam Differ

After the fall of communism, the Democrat administration of President Bill Clinton assumed that there was no threat to U.S. interests, the undisputable evidence of the rise of Shari’a-compliant Islam notwithstanding. Clinton pretended that the Islamic jihadist attack on the New York World Trade Center in 1993; the Islamic jihadist attack on U.S. military famine relief force in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1993; the Islamic jihadist attack on the U.S. Air Force troop barracks in the Khobar Towers, Saudi Arabia in 1996; the Islamic jihadist attack on the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya in 1998; the Islamic jihadist attack on the U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in 1998; and the Islamic jihadist attack on the USS Cole in 2000 were not Islamic-motivated terrorism! It doesn’t get any more dysfunctional than that! After seven years of Islamic jihadist attacks and threats of attacks, most directly traceable to Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda, U.S. foreign policy was still functioning on the Democrat Party’s baseless assumptions that Islam is benign and poses no national threat to the U.S. In reality, Clinton’s foreign policy was principally to subordinate his goal of getting reelected in the 1996, and in his second term Clinton’s foreign policy priority was primarily to preclude failures in order to preserve his “legacy”. As a result, Clinton passed up several opportunities to take out bin Laden and al-Qaeda in his caution to avoid hard decisions that had the potential for consequential gain or disaster. Clinton’s Democrat administration dealt with the Islamic jihadists and their terror attacks as international outlaws committing crimes in an effort to mislead the American public about the Islamic threat. Clinton worked diligently to cover up the ineptitude of his denial policy regarding Islamic jihad to preserve the fiction of his foreign policy effectiveness. A sympathetic media assisted him greatly in his prevarication.

Then came the Republican administration of President George W. Bush. Shortly after taking office, Bush was confronted by the second jihadist attack on the New York World Trade Center in 2001. After almost 3,000 Americans were murdered on 9/11 by Islamic jihadists, the Islamic religious connection to the continuing terrorism against the U.S. was no longer deniable, although many Republican and Democrat politicians and policy makers still try to this day. Nevertheless, Bush advanced the ball forward from where Clinton had left it by acknowledging that the 9/11 perpetrators were in fact Islamic jihadists, not criminals, and by declaring the U.S. response to the Islamic jihad was a “Global War on Terror” (GWOT). Of course, the idea of declaring war against the “tactic of terror” rather than declaring war on the Islamic jihadists using the tactic of terror discredited the concept of “GWOT” from the beginning, and more ominously it indicated that there was a continuation of some variation of Clinton’s denial that Shari’a-compliant Islam is a national security threat.

According to President Bush’s 2010 memoir, Decision Points, the “Bush Doctrine” for fighting Islamic terror contained four fundamental precepts. Unfortunately, the fourth precept ultimately cancelled the effectiveness of the other three out, thus undermining and ultimately destroying Bush’s GWOT by the end of his second term in office. The Bush Doctrine precepts were:

  • “Make no distinction between terrorists and the nations that harbor them–and hold both to account.”
  • “Take the fight to the enemy overseas before they can attack us again here at home.”
  • “Confront threats before they fully materialize.”
  • “Advance liberty and hope as an alternative to the enemy’s ideology of repression and fear.”

Obviously the first three precepts of the Bush Doctrine were essential as an effective policy foundation for the aggressive foreign policy that is absolutely imperative to countering the offensive jihadist doctrine contained in the Islamic Shari’a. However, the counter-historical idea in the fourth precept that Middle Eastern Islamic governments would embrace personal “liberty” led to the ill-advised adoption of Bush’s inherently flawed, limited war strategy of nation-building/counterinsurgency. The nation-building/counterinsurgency strategy was unrealistically based on forcibly implanting democracy in the tribal, medieval, Islamic-sectarian governmental cesspools in Afghanistan and Iraq. In order for it to be even remotely possible that liberty and democracy might take root in those Islamic societies, Islam would really have to be the “religion of peace” as claimed by apologists, instead of the “supremacist, imperialist, theo-military-politico doctrine” that is clearly mandated by the Qur’an and Shari’a. However, contrary to the fourth precept of the Bush Doctrine, Islamic society is constructed on the premise that all non-Islamic ideas and institutions are religious heresy that should be rejected. But in spite of explicit, jihad-mandating injunctions in these “sacred” Islamic Qur’an and Shari’a texts, an undisputed history of fourteen centuries of worldwide jihadist attacks on non-Muslims, and a tradition of rejecting outside cultural influences and peaceful coexistence with neighbors, Bush succumbed to the irrationality of political correctness and pronounced Islam to be “the religion of peace.” But saying it doesn’t make it so.

While the unrealistic premise of Bush’s Republican foreign policy assumption that Islam is a peaceful religion is dangerously naive, it unfortunately grows from the same type of politically correct denial of the “aggressive, supremacist nature” of the Muslim religion that buttressed Clinton’s pretence that jihad wasn’t being waged against the U.S. The difference between the assumptions underpinning the Democrat and Republican foreign policies of Clinton and Bush toward Islam was one of degree rather than substance.

Clinton worked on the assumption that the Islamic religion was no factor at all in the attacks on the U.S., while Bush’s equally invalid assumption was that a hijacked, perverted version of Islam was motivating misguided Muslims to commit their murderous acts. Consequently, different degrees of politically correctness denying the violent, imperialistic character of Islam was the difference between Clinton and Bush. Lamentably these politically correct, reality-adverse interpretations of Islam still underlie Democratic and Republican basic foreign policy assumptions about Islam, rendering both dysfunctional.

President Obama’s Fantasy Foreign Policy Assumption Regarding Islam

The Republican foreign policy assumption about Islam developed by Bush was at least somewhat more realistic than the assumption of the Democrats developed under Clinton because the Republican foreign policy acknowledged that Islamic jihad is a real war against the U.S. However, the major deficiency in Bush’s policy assumption about Islam was that it failed to identify the uncompromising, expansionist nature of the Islamic Qur’an and Shari’a as the wellspring of Muslim jihad.

But to make matters worse, President Barack Obama’s Democrat regime, that replaced the Bush’ Republican administration in 2009, dropped even the inadequate Republican assumption that Islamic jihadist terror stemmed from a hijacked, perverted version of Islam. Instead Obama’s national security policy and strategy documents, directives, and public statements erased every mention of Islam, Qur’an, Shari’a, and jihad! The Obama national security team eliminated all-things-Islamic as causes of jihadist terrorism, and narrowed the focus down to “al-Qaeda” as the sole enemy to be fought! The elimination of Islam as a cause of terrorism and as a national security threat is a cynically transparent political move to define a potential worldwide threat pool of millions of Shari’a-motivated Islamic jihadists down to a few hundred shadowy al-Qaeda terrorists hiding in caves and deserts. According to Obama’s version of the threat facing the U.S., al-Qaeda fanatical terrorists are motivated to kill Americans by some unnamed, undefined, intangible “radicalism,” but not Islamic Shari’a.

It is much easier to spin victory claims and to declare successes – like “bin Laden is dead and al-Qaeda is on the run” – while battling just hundreds of vaguely motivated criminals rather than combating millions of enemies with an existentially hostile ideology. Besides, the politically cynical move of pretending that al-Qaeda is the lone enemy changes a very difficult war of religion-based ideology to a much less complicated campaign of law enforcement to eliminate a gang of international criminals. Another transparent reason for the cynically political stratagem of reducing the U.S. society’s enemies down to a limited number of al-Qaeda radicals with an ethereal motive is that it permits both Democrats and Republicans to continue to mouth politically correct, comfortable nostrums about the benign character of the “Islamic religion of peace.” Furthermore, this definition-deception fits perfectly with the failed liberal dystopian dogma of “multiculturalism.” Obama has returned to the totally false assumption of the Clinton presidency that jihad-motivated, Islamic Shari’a-compliant terrorism bears no responsibility for the murder and mayhem committed to the bloodcurdling screams of “Allah-u-Akbar”!

“Do we really want to return to the policies of the past that got us here?”

Col. Thomas Snodgrass, USAF (retired), was an Intelligence Officer and an International Politico-Military Affairs Officer serving in seven foreign countries during a thirty-year military career.
