TODAY’S NN&V HEADLINES

  • Ralston for Governor? (Chuck Muth) – Many Republicans, and probably most conservatives, love to loath political columnist, blogger, pundit, TV host, king-of-all-political-media Jon Ralston because they consider him too liberal and too favorable to Democrats. But any fair-minded person has to admit Jon has chewed plenty of Democrats new ones over the years. And he actually harbors, I suspect, more of a left-leaning libertarian streak than cradle-to-grave socialism.
  • DC Liberals Parade to Nevada to help Titus (Heck for Congress campaign) – On Sunday November 12th Dina “Tax-Us” Titus will receive her first show of thanks for her vote to raise taxes on the backs of Nevada small business owners.
  • Raggio Recall Organizers to Meet this Week (Anger is Brewing) – If you ask the Committee to Recall Senator Bill Raggio, they will tell you that the time for talk is over.
  • BLM Graciously Accepts Comments From Local Peasants (Mark Noonan) – What is wrong with this picture? “The U.S. Bureau of Land Management’s Ely district office is seeking public input on its proposed management plan for the Mount Grafton, South Egan Range, Far South Egans and Highland Ridge wilderness areas. Comments on the proposal will be accepted through next Friday, Nov. 20…
  • Is ObamaCare Constitutional? Are You Serious? (Richard Scotti) – The legitimate and only authority of the federal government of a constitutional republic originates with the people – as codified by the Constitution. DRIVE-BY MUTHINGS

Well, it’s official.

Nathan “Li’l Nate” Taylor says he’s running for the Nevada state Assembly in District 13 (Las Vegas). And he’ll be holding a campaign kickoff fundraiser on December 3rd from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.

Now, I’m not about to help promote this goofball’s campaign by telling everyone where the kickoff event is taking place. However, I will give you a hint in case you’re really interested.

It’ll be at a Las Vegas bar which Steve Sebelius of CityLife describes thusly: “There’s beer-drinking, sporting event-watching, BlackBerry-reading, attempts to impress the female of the species, but most of all, there’s sheer, tangible douchiness.”

Yep, sounds like the perfect place for Li’l Nate’s coming out party.

FAMOUS LAST WORDS

“Massively expanding the number of healthcare consumers without making due provision for the production of more healthcare providers means that we’re hurtling toward a staggering logjam of de facto rationing. Steel yourself for the deafening screams from the careerist professional class of limousine liberals when they get stranded for hours in the jammed, jostling anterooms of doctors’ offices. They’ll probably try to hire Caribbean nannies as ringers to do the waiting for them.” – Camille Paglia writing at Salon.com (Hat tip: Political Diary)
