REPUBLICAN U.S. SENATE CANDIDATE DANNY TARKANIAN ATTACKS “ABORTION PREMIUM” IN REID PLAN
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian issued the following statement in response to reports that the health care plan put forth by Senator Harry Reid requires all those who enroll in the government health care plan to fund abortions with a monthly premium increase.
“There are many reasons to oppose this government takeover of Americans’ health care, but this so-called ‘abortion premium’ would have to be at the top of the list. Like most Americans, I strongly oppose taxpayer funding of abortion and yet this outrageous plan appears to elevate abortion funding to the status of a monthly expense for those paying into the program.”
“Senator Reid says he’s pro-life – but in reality there seems to be no principle he won’t sacrifice to pay the ransom demands of the radical left in hopes they’ll support his re-election.”
