Supreme Court extends gun rights to all 50 states

In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court declared for the first time that the Second Amendment right to bear arms extends to states and local governments. The ruling opens the door to challenges to gun control laws and ordinances across the country, though the justices cautioned that not all such rules will be unconstitutional.
