The mirror image of Bill Ayers and a modern patriot.

George Orwell’s predictions in 1984, which he wrote in 1949, were 30 years too soon. His other predictions in the Animal Farm have already come to pass. The writing on the barn wall in that famous post war story about the threat of communism is ringing as true today as when Orwell wrote: “All animals are created equally.” but the pigs changed it to read: “But some are more equal than others.” The story that has yet to be written is about the mirror image that reverses the roles of the radical communist and the American patriot. A story that is almost 60 years in the making. William Charles “Bill” Ayers (born December 26, 1944), most famous for being the co-founder of the radical terrorist group Weather Underground, is five years younger than me, but for the sake of time, distance and wealth we are mirror images of each other in two different times. I am now what he was then.

I speak in riddles and metaphors. I am now in thought, what he was then in reality, but lets continue with this analogy.

In the mid 1960s self-described communist revolutionary Bill Ayers, the son of Thomas G. Ayers a wealthy businessman who would become CEO of Commonwealth Edison, was receiving his radical indoctrination into left-wing politics while attending the University of Michigan. In the mid 1960s I was starting out working my first full-time job after being honorably discharged after 5 years in the Coast Guard. A few years later this was a time of communist inspired riots in the streets and I had just become a member of The John Birch Society. This group of patriots became the primary source of my conservative political education that would last me a lifetime. I learned what America was about, the things that made us so great and, most importantly, who and why we had so many enemies, at home and abroad.

In the mid 1960s, as I was starting a family, America was a good place to live. Before the time of 700 channel High Definition TV, outside the cities we had quiet neighborhoods with neatly trimmed lawns, friendly neighbors, polite children and good work ethics. We had good Local Police then who believed in their job To Protect and To Serve, and we Supported them, and patriotism was flying the American flag, going to church and having picnics and parades. It was also a time when a few people who hated our country were setting off bombs and shooting cops. People like Bill Ayers were trying to change our country into some warped idea of a Socialist Police State. Groups like his own Weather Underground and The Black Panthers and the Students for a Democratic Society – The SDS, were subverting our culture on every college campus. They had the wealth and influence of a rich liberal elite on their side. Nowadays those offspring of the wealthy elite parents have themselves become respectable, no thanks to the power of the sympathizing news media that helped tear apart our once glorious Republic and decimate our Constitution in the pursuit of socialism. In 1997, barely 30 years after he was setting off his bombs, the city of Chicago awarded Bill Ayers its Citizen of the Year award and Wall Street Journal columnist Thomas Frank praised Ayers as a “model citizen”. In the liberal world the only good PR work they do goes to promoting other liberals.

Well, the bald-faced reality of the situation is the communists have won. They’re in the White House and in control of Congress. We underestimated the influence of the news media as being our greatest enemy. They helped to shape and popularize the image of our communist threat and to cover up the details of the past while at the same time to marginalize the conservative opposition. They basically rewrote history. They told the lies often enough and the people began to believe them. The fact is the leftists outsmarted us in realizing that the news media would become their greatest asset. As the pedophiles were flocking into the priesthood the communists were joining academia to churn out a generation of Marxists who would poison the field of journalism forever. We are still deluded into believing we can change things by winning elections. Perhaps things might have changed if some wealthy conservative industrialists like the Koch brothers had bought up a few colleges noted for journalism degrees and we were able to inject a pro-Constitutional mentality into the news media writers. No, that wouldn’t work by itself. We would just wind up with a whole bunch of unemployed journalism graduates from conservative colleges. To make it work we would also need some conservative right-minded thinking instilled in the owners, editors and publishers of our newspapers. As hard as that dream would ever be. Then again there are the television news programs that have been solidly corrupted by a Marxist mentality. The garden has been taken over by the weeds and its time to bring out the rotor-tiller.

Bill Ayers is the epitome of the logic in None Dare Call It Treason. “Treason doth never prosper: what’s the reason? Why if it prosper, none dare call it treason.” Bill Ayers went on to a successful life as a college professor, and a profitable lecture tour after he retired. He helped launch the political career of Barack Hussein Obama, the communist who occupies our White House today, once a thought that was thoroughly debunked by the leftist news media but now Bill Ayers admits it was true. Just a minor detail he says. That is how brazenly frank they have become in acknowledging their success.

So now the images in the mirror have become reversed. The radical bombers who attacked our country have now assumed respectability in our society. And those moral, God-fearing, flag waving patriots, who do still cling to their guns and their bibles, who fought the radicals a long time ago and lost are about to become what their enemy once was. While my generation has grown too old to fight another war, I am almost 74, we tried to instill in our children and grandchildren the same love for freedom and liberty that our forefathers instilled in us. Hopefully, somewhere in America there is a younger, healthier generation that will see the path ahead and know now who the true enemy really is and be able to do what needs to be done. We do owe Barack Hussein Obama one small debt of gratitude for he has become the greatest gun salesman in American history. Next time we gather in protest we will not come unarmed.

This week’s winner, Joshuapundit’s The Ayatollahs Laugh – Iran’s Nukes And The New ‘Red Lines,’ is the sordid tale of how the Iranians are already using President Obama’s ‘re-engagement’ with Iran to gain time for their nuclear weapons program, what’s apparently going on behind the scenes and the effect this is having in the Middle East. Here’s a slice:

Now that the talks on Iran’s illicit nuclear program have started in Geneva, the Iranians are already revealing that they’re a farce that will mean nothing, just as they always have.

As the latest round of talks was being scheduled, Majlis Speaker and former Iranian nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani said that Iran has more enriched uranium than it needed and said that it could be used as a bargaining chip with the West, referring to a previous plan advanced by Russia to enrich Iran’s uranium outside Iran,ostensibly to prevent any weaponization.

The day before the talks, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Iranian state TV that “Shipping out the [enriched] material is a red line for Iran,” and that it would not even be considered.

In fact, at this point the only thing the Iranians are saying they’ll negotiate is the level and quantity of enriched uranium and the type and number of centrifuges…in exchange for a complete lifting of sanctions:

“We are supposed to enter into a trust-building path with the West,” Araqchi said. “In their point of view, trust-building means taking some steps on the Iranian nuclear issue, and in our view, trust is made when the sanctions are lifted.”

And trust, of course will take time, from the Iranians viewpoint.As much time as possible. Meanwhile, the centrifuges are spinning.And Iran admits to already having 200 kilograms (440 pounds) of 20 percent-enriched uranium, a form that can be quickly upgraded for weapons use. That’s within spitting distance of what’s needed for a nuclear weapon, and based on their previous track record the Iranians might well have a lot more than that hidden away.

The Obama Administration has also publicly signaled its willingness to quickly drop the sanctions on Iran as part of negotiations.

In fact, according to the terms of the talks President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry agreed to, the Iranians can even continue to enrich uranium freely while the talks continue. And while those talks go on, the Iranians are also taking advantage of the diplomatic engagement to conceal materials and fortify their nuclear sites.

So, where does this leave us? Let’s summarize:

President Obama has apparently accepted the Iranian position that they have the right to enrich uranium. He has done this in spite of the regime’s support of terrorism, its complicity in 9/11, it’s history of duplicity and lies on its nuclear program, and its often expressed hatred for The Great Satan, as the Iranian regime refers to America.

President Obama has swallowed assurances by Iran that they have no interest in nuclear weapons, that Iran’s nuclear program is solely for peaceful purposes (which is why they kept it hidden and clandestine for so long), and that Iran’s Supreme Leader the Ayatollah Khamenei issued a fatwa against nuclear weapons…even though he didn’t, and no record of the supposed ‘fatwa’ exists.

The Iranians will be allowed to continue enriching uranium. We have no way of verifying how much or to what degree, or really anything much while the talks continue and perhaps even after they’re completed. President Obama has also apparently accepted the Iranian demand that enriched uranium will stay in Iran under Iran’s control.

No mention at all has been made of closing down the top secret Iranian nuclear plant at Fordo, or its heavy water plant at Arak, which has no peaceful application, but can only be used to drive a reactor manufacturing weapons grade plutonium, a second path to nuclear weapons.

And President Obama and his team are willfully ignoring the fact that once you have the capability of enriching uranium to any degree and a full fuel cycle, you’re able able to produce nuclear weapons. They are also apparently willing ignore the fact that a peaceful nuclear program can exist without requiring uranium enrichment or plutonium production. Only a nuclear weapons program does.

China may step up push for alternative currency…

The fall of the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency is rapidly approaching. It heralds a financial collapse that will rock our nation. Obama has all but ensured that this will occur in the near future. He planned for it and it is what he wants. America will fall to her knees and no longer lead the world. The world’s shining light will succumb to the darkness brought forth by Marxists, communists and radical Islamists with Russia and China leading the foray. There is plenty of blame to go around on both sides of the aisle.

The damage is done and a door has been opened for China to ascend economically and militarily. They sense our weakness and the rift within American politics and the communists intend to take full advantage. From Yahoo! News:

“We’re glad a deal has been struck,” said a Japanese policymaker, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “But the uncertainty will remain and it will be the same thing all over again early next year.”

He and other Japanese officials say they have already developed contingency plans that include flooding Japan’s banking system with cash to keep markets functioning however panicked investors become. And analysts say China, whose Communist leaders are due to hold a key policy meeting next month, may step up a push for global acceptance of its currency, the yuan or renminbi, as an alternative to the U.S. dollar in international trade.

“They might actually consider accelerating the process,” said Vincent Chan, head of equity research at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong. “You strengthen the case of making the renminbi a genuine international currency, because the Americans are unreliable.”

As China moves forward to de-Americanize the world, their tactical skills at warfare on and off the global chessboard are becoming very clear. By gutting our military and destroying our economy, the Progressives are following an agenda that solidifies their wealth and power and gives a long-promised gift to the communists – global dominance and subservience from America. For years we have willingly and knowingly let their spies infest our government agencies and we have handed over technology and military secrets as a father tenders the dowry of a promised bride-to-be.

From our friends at The Economic Collapse blog comes nine alarming signs that China is making their move:

#1 Chinese credit rating agency Dagong has downgraded U.S. debt from A to A- and has indicated that further downgrades are possible.

#2 China has just entered into a very large currency swap agreement with the eurozone that is considered a huge step toward establishing the yuan as a major world currency. This agreement will result in a lot less U.S. dollars being used in trade between China and Europe…

The swap deal will allow more trade and investment between the regions to be conducted in euros and yuan, without having to convert into another currency such as the U.S. dollar first, said Kathleen Brooks, a research director at FOREX.com.

“It’s a way of promoting European and Chinese trade, but not doing it with the U.S. dollar,” said Brooks. “It’s a bit like cutting out the middleman, all of a sudden there’s potentially no U.S. dollar risk.”

#3 Back in June, China signed a major currency swap agreement with the United Kingdom. This was another very important step toward internationalizing the yuan.

#4 China currently owns about 1.3 trillion dollars of U.S. debt, and this enormous exposure to U.S. debt is starting to become a major political issue within China.

#5 Mei Xinyu, Commerce Minister adviser to the Chinese government, warned this week that if the U.S. government ever does default that China may decide to completely stop buying U.S. Treasury bonds.

#6 According to Yahoo News, China has already been looking for ways to diversify away from the U.S. dollar…

There have been media reports this week that China’s State Administration of Foreign Exchange, the body that handles the country’s $3.66 trillion of foreign exchange reserve, is looking to diversify into real estate investments in Europe.

#7 Xinhua, the official news agency of China, called for a “de-Americanized world” this week, and also made the following statement about the political turmoil in Washington: “The cyclical stagnation in Washington for a viable bipartisan solution over a federal budget and an approval for raising debt ceiling has again left many nations’ tremendous dollar assets in jeopardy and the international community highly agonized.”

#8 Xinhua also said the following about the U.S. debt deal on Thursday: “[P]oliticians in Washington have done nothing substantial but postponing once again the final bankruptcy of global confidence in the U.S. financial system”. The commentary in the government-run publication also declared that the debt deal “was no more than prolonging the fuse of the U.S. debt bomb one inch longer.”

#9 China is the largest producer of gold in the world, and it has also been importing an absolutely massive amount of gold from other nations. But instead of slowing down, the Chinese appear to be accelerating their gold buying. In fact, money manager Stephen Leeb says that his sources are telling him that China plans to buy another 5,000 tons of gold. There are many that are convinced that China eventually plans to back the yuan with gold and try to make it the number one alternative to the U.S. dollar.

So exactly what would happen if the Chinese announced someday that they were going to back their currency with gold and would no longer be using the U.S. dollar in international trade?

It would change the face of the global economy almost overnight. In a previous article, I described some of the things that we could expect to see happen…

If China does decide to back the yuan with gold and no longer use the U.S. dollar in international trade, it will have devastating effects on the U.S. economy. Demand for the U.S. dollar and U.S. debt would drop like a rock, and prices on the things that we buy every day would soar. At that point you could forget about cheap gasoline or cheap Chinese imports. Our entire way of life depends on the U.S. dollar being the primary reserve currency of the world and being able to import things very inexpensively. If the rest of the world (led by China) starts to reject the U.S. dollar, it would result in a massive tsunami of currency coming back to our shores and a very painful adjustment in our standard of living. Today, most U.S. currency is actually used outside of the United States. If someday that changes and we are no longer able to export our inflation that is going to mean big trouble for us.

Our printing presses are spitting out dollars faster and faster as if there is no end, ever. Oh, but there is. And when the cataclysm comes and the economy crashes into a depression that will make the last ones look like a birthday party, the Progressives will blame the Republicans, but there will be tar and feathers for everyone on both sides of the Progressive aisle at the final party. Count on it. The Progressives will celebrate and the rest will wonder what happened. China will in the end make the final push for an alternative currency and it will happen. We will no longer be the world’s bank. China’s move is just the opening salvo to economic Armageddon. If you listen closely, you can hear hooves approaching.
